  • Get well soon, Emi, I know exactly how you feel right now because at this moment I'm home sick from school with a raging headache, burning throat, and a strange I'm-going-to-fall-over-any-moment-now feeling But my teacher just called and said that I'm on the list for our trip to New York City, so now I'm really excited about that

      • Mousey: Omg, your an aunt!!! I remember when my nephew was nborn... he just turned nine yesterday... gosh, he was teasing me cause I'm going to be sixteen in two weeks, saying I must be old if I can remember when he was born....

Emi: Yay! You got in! Congrats!!! and feel better soon. Being sick is the pits.

Rhi: You get better soon too, ok? And you get to go to New York? that's really cool... have fun!

All my friends are getting sick, and I don't want to also, cause the principal (we just call her Hitler...long story) is always getting on my case over going home early cause I tend to miss a lot when my asthma acts up, which it's been doing a lot... it's getting better now though. THankfully!

This morning, my friend Vanessa cornered me in Locke Lounge and said "You are letting me cut your hair!!" and... well, she's been on me about it for over a week now, and she's about as easy to say no to as Alice (from Twilight)... so I let her. In the middle of the lounge. She mainly just layered it, and it feels so much thinner... everyone told me how great it was, so I guess I should be thinking Nessa and paying her! she did two other peoples' hair and had done one more before us, so... we told her she was going to become famous for it. I have to go research CSU Chico for our AVID college research project. Vanessa probably forgot. And I need to research Latin America's revolution for a history project. And "glucose and diabetes" for Bio... Febuary is so going to be busy....
        Toodle-loo!

        • Jwiz, Wolfy, and Rhi: Thanks, I know being sick sucks.. But I'm starting to get better!!! Oh and the best thing is I get to sing tomorrow, because we ran out of time today!! Yess...

I'm thinking about singing This Night by Billy Joel. It's my parent's favorite song, and it has a nice melody. I don't know it's just a thought.

Jwiz: Sounds like your friend Vanessa is really talented!! I wish I could have a friend like that.

Rhi: That's so cool, you get to go to NY!!! I'm going to go there.. someday.. just don't know when. Haha.

Will rant a bit more, so feel free to skip ahead.
It's blocking a site because it has a game on it, though i wasn't going to play that game, and it's blocking nationstates...which kind of makes sense, i suppose, but still...The things is evil! And, i mnust admit, better than the old one which would not ONLY block innocent things, but also let in things that really WERE bad.
but i'm stil.ll annoyed with it. *grumbles*
            ah well..

Apparently, there's something not quite right about my english regent scores. On the last two, i got five point five, after the two were averaged. Rounds up to a six, which is the best you can hope for...On the first two however, i only got threes. Exactly threes, which means both teachers decided i should have only three. Makes no real sense-i'm sure i did it all write, in terms of format, and my writing is obviously up to standerd...My teacher is going to see if she can pull up the Essays...

Maybe i'm just thinking that because it's my essays, but still...the highest grade to a three is a bit much...
            I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Not much beyond "I aten't dead." :-), and nothing on chat or books.

ETA: Had a fun time yesterday: around lunchtime, my heart started feeling funny -- missed beats, or racing, or something like that. I'd felt it before, so I wasn't too alarmed, until it didn't go away. One of the benefits of working at a large medical practice is that it's fairly easy to get in to see a doctor. :-) While she was listening with her stethoscope, it fluttered a bit more, and she could hear that there were early beats happening. She told me it wasn't dangerous, just unsettling. They tried to get an EKG to verify what it looked like, but it took them so long to get me hooked up that I was nice and relaxed, so my heart was behaving. They might not have to treat it at all, if it doesn't persist.

              • Well...I could go two ways right now; I could write about the extremely disrespectful freshmen who've joined indoor track (I have NOT run for the last 4 years to let some little freshman tell me what to do.) Or...I could tell you guys that today I got accepted to 2 more colleges! I mean, I assumed I'd get in...based on my grades and test scores, and (if I do say so myself) amazing essay, there's no way I couldn't get into these two schools. So...I'm happy I got in, and am still waiting for my official letter from the school I went on an overnight at last Thursday. They're mailing them on February 1...or did they say that they should be coming around February 1? I can't remember. Either way, it's great!

Aw, Mousey congrats on becoming an aunt! I'm about to get another cousin any day now, the first girl on my dad's side of the family since my sister was born 14 years ago. We're kind of excited to buy her pink clothes and stuff (even though I really don't like pink.)

Also congrats on getting your braces off Emi! Hope your voice thing goes well as well (or if it's already happened, that it went well. I'm behind on TOGR.)

This is the third time in the last week that I've just been so hyper and jumping around like a maniac. The first was once I got home from the overnight and it really sunk in that I was getting an acceptance letter from the school next week. The second time was yesterday...when I had a lot of coffee, since I was tired. My legs hurt because I was jumping around so much. The third time is obviously now.

I've got NHS tomorrow night...fun stuff, NHS. It's our induction ceremony, so I get to walk these 2 junior boys across stage while they get their pins (we've got almost twice as many new inductees as we have current members, so everyone has 2 people to escort.) As soon as that's over, I've got to run to basketball. I'd much rather be at basketball than NHS, to tell the truth. Although the adult leader always says it's the highest honor our school can bestow on us...it's like, our NHS isn't that active. It's hard to get into, and then you're like "why did I want to be in this so badly again?" Actually...I just realized I didn't even put it on my college applications when I applied. That's really the only reason to belong to it at my school. Oh well. Going to go do something now...XD So happy.

                • That's graet! Two more colleges! And freshmen sure can be annoying... ha, my friends and I always joke, saying that it must be a requirement for freshmen to be annoying... and that at least WE calmed down sophomore year....

Garrett: Well, I hope the heart thing really isn't anything serious...

Emi: Well, I'm glad your feeling better! And Good luck tomorrow!!!

                  • Hope someone can fill me in because i am a little lost.
I read the Young Wizard Series Book 1 So You Want to Be A Wizard, to what i could of A Wizard of Mars.
Now i keep seeing and hearing things about The cat series and "The Big Meow" now i am wondering if i started wrong and I should have read those first?
                    I'm just sayin'!

                    • Neets wanna B: The Big Meow is another series written by DD. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to reading this series but I heard it was good. I hope that helps a bunch!

Hungry: YAY 2 more colleges!! I hope I have your luck when I apply next year... Oh and I know about these annoying freshmen.. not just on sports but in the HALLS. Ugh, just count to ten.

Garrett: Hope your heart thing isn't too serious.

UM, yeah I sung today.. It was okay, I messed up on the timing a couple times. But all in all it was good. I'm still feeling lousy... but oh well... I really don't feel like going to practice tonight.. but I have to. Ugh, this other girl on my team is sick too, so if she's there, I have to be there. .

I'm thinking about doing a little movie/documentary about this ghost in a town that's near mine. A bunch of girls on my team sounded excited when we were talking about it earlier... It should be really interesting. I don't really think I'm going to do it. It's just a thought.

I found a Pop song!!! All You Wanted by Michelle Branch. I love that song.

                      Alright Bye!

                      • Neets, you're good. The Feline Wizards series was a spinoff from the Young Wizards books, and makes more sense if you've read YW.

Another confusing thing is the titles: the first one is called The Book of Night with Moon, although the Book has nothing to do with the plot -- the publisher rejected the original title, The Cats of Grand Central and everything else until Diane despairingly offered TBoNwM.

The second one was published as To Visit the Queen in the US and On Her Majesty's Wizardly Service in the UK.

The third one, The Big Meow, is being self-published, a chapter at a time, on Diane's website. Subscribers get the chapters a week in advance of the public release, and a copy of the finished book at the end.

And re: heart -- I wouldn't have mentioned it, but I felt the need to fill up that post with more content, and that's what came to mind. :-) I feel fine today.

Emi: I really like "Goodbye to You" by Branch -- did you see the episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer that had her singing it?

                        • Mmm. Peace I breathe and think about breathing, and there's a little bit of music playing in the back of my room, but I can tune it out, and then there's nothing. I am relaxed.

All of my homework is calc and physics which is the most I have had all week. It feels really good to not have to worry about projects. Or worse, college applications. What a waste to stress over for my first semester. Yeah, I don't know where I'm getting in to yet, but I know I'll get in somewhere, and I wish I had shot for more high up schools, but that's just a regret. No one needs to care about regrets. If ya can't do anything about it, then why does it need to matter?

The other day, I was gonna drive home from school, but I friend stole my car keys and put them in his pants pocket. I wasn't gonna try to get it back from him, so I just followed him into a Capella club and unloaded my stuff. Another of my friends runs a Capella club. She's pretty unique. She is a math person in the einstein sort of way -- or at least how I picture it. Smart, but slightly vacant and out of it. She also dances and sings and is Jewish, and I think she's something neat. Anyway, I did my calc homework while listening to the pretty voices, even after friend #1 gave me back my keys. Silly idea, because when I got home, I had no homework. And I had a study hall tomorrow in which to be bored now that I had no home work. Can you imagine? I don't know what to do with myself when I have free time.

So I took a few suggestions. Friend who I dub #3 suggested I draw this:
                          Snail Attacks a Shell Station

Time well spent. And yes, very scribbly.

Then art club yesterday and Chinese food today. Tomorrow I shadow where an architect works.

Nada exciting here, but I hope you enjoy the messy art.

                          Congrats, Hungry!!

Garrett: awaa scary. :O *hugs* I hope everything is okay.

We had a chiropractor come in yesterday. Did a couple of presentations over the two lunches, and in the interim, he hopped into my anatomy class to discuss his practice. It was really neat. My mom thinks chiropractors are quacks, but that can be said about everything just about. XD And his shameless advertising makes me want to see one. XD

We had an early release today! That's the only exciting thing that happened. Hahaha.

Oh and I noticed there's a new guy on the forums with the name Eric?? What are we going to do when both Erics write in here???

Alrighty, I'll fill in more later... When something exciting happens.

                              • Gryph and Emi: When I was in school I also had two jobs on top of that. So you would say i kept myself pretty busy most of the time. Never complained about having nothing to do thats for sure.

Now i'm done school, and only have one job... i get bored out of my mind. Hence why i can read 7 book in a little more then a month. Finding something to do is a lot hard then one might think, but i manage by making FUN projects to do that does not need a due date.

I come to find that if you do a project for fun thats what it is fun. But as soon as you put a dead line on it i seem to wait until last minute to work on it. Always happens.
