• So, Meg, do you react the same way my best friend of the same does when we... alter her name a little? Into Meggles, or Meggie, or Megmegmeg? Yes? No?
*laugh* I have a really close cousin named Meg, and I've recently started calling her Meggles...it's when she tries to call me Ell-lls (wow, that's hard to type...I know how to pronounce it, but it's hard to put into words) that it gets funny. Needless to say, she's who I think of when I hear Meg.

I won't call you M***** anymore, M. I was just teasing.

Yay! Diego's back! We missed you when your power was out!

Once a guy looked up "The Pope is Evil" and got a site that named like a million things that were evil, it was really funny, it said Nike was evil. lol

• I wouldn't call anyone human evil. Maybe insane (insane like crazed killers, not insane like all of us here) or warped could count as something, but not evil. Evil is something different.

Meggles.

No, not the tumbleweeds! Ahhhh!

Dictatorship isn't nessecarily a bad thing. It's just when the dictator is bad that things go downhill. And for fear of having a bad dictator, people tend to avoid it.

Well, Nut Meg could be shortened to NM. Which is twice as long as M, but shorter than Nutmeg...

Ah well.

Sorry, I've decided not to come in chat tonight. I have stuff at school to concentrate on. It was bad enough that I skipped karate to finish extra work.

M:
*grumbles* Yeah, people call me nut meg *roll eyes* I hate that name. And people know that. *grumbles some more*
All the more reason to call M Nutmeg!

• Hi everyone!
Well where to begin?? I have not posted for like a week and it feel bad to say that but I have been busy! After months of me going on and on about it the day is nearly here when I go to uni!!! I went today for a mature student day thing and I have to say it was fun though I am still scared!! Though it was funny when I turned up! I was one of the youngest there, the oldest being 45ish! Its amazing to think that I will be in a uni with such a large student base with a big age differance! I think its great. Well I'm going to pop around the around the website to see what else I can post on

• WARNING!! POLITICS AHEAD!!

Diego:

[random] If Fidel Castro is a dictator then I agree with dictatorship. If Hitler and Pol Pot where dictators then I strongly DISagree with dictatorship. If Bush isn't then what the heck IS dictatorship!!?!?!?[/random]

*prepares himself for flames*
No president can be a dictator. That would be the point of checks and balances. If Bush were to do anything truly wrong (not to be confused with unpopular.) Then he would be removed from office. I'm not saying I'm a complete Bush fan, goodness knows I'm not pleased with the war in Iraq, but he isn't being a dictator. And if he is, we're the one's who put him in power.

And like others have said, communism is not a bad idea, it just is intensly difficult to carry out, especially once you get out of something like a church munk/nun type setting and into a national scale.

For goodness's sake, think out what you type before you post it. Even if you want to fish out a political debate.

The worst thing about dictatorship is that if you were a doctor or a receptionist you would get paid the same and that's not fair if you work harder and get paid the same as someone who does an easy job. (Do I have my facts right? Sorry if I don't.)

Ugh. I had SO much homework today! *cries* 72 problems in math, around 150 questions to answer in Social Studies and a story to write in english. Also a report to do on people I don't like. *groans*

• M, nutmeg is a cute nickname! I won't call you it if you hate it, but... it's kinda sweet. Y'all know this song?
I had a little nut-tree
Nothing would it bear,
but a silver nutmeg
and a golden pear.

The King of Spain's daughter
came to visit me,
and all for the sake
of my little nut tree.

Zgirl, I think you've confused dictatorship and communism. And, you know, a lot of people would disagree with your definitions of hard and easy jobs and whether people get paid accordingly... for example, I would say that being a toilet cleaner is an extremely unpleasant, and therefore difficult, and neccesary, job; but cleaners get paid a lot less then receptionists, say. Who's to say what value a job has?
Go ahead! Panic! Do it now and avoid the June rush! Fear death by water!

• Naw, Bush isn't a dictator. You can threaten to call him one, but he's not. We're the ones who put him in power, hmmm? Sad, but yeah, a lot of people voted him, making him the president. Not all of us, did, mind, but he's still all of the Americans' president, no matter how much they deny it.

You'd get paid the same for your job? Hardly. Wait, let me back up and see what I can do to back up my side. A dictator, that is, a person with absolute rule, would be unchallenged in their descisions. They'd be above the law. A controlled economy is more like what Z is saying. Only, that decides for you what to produce, how to produce it, etc etc. I don't know if that would fall under the doctor/receptionist example in the way Z is trying to get it across. A plus to a dictatorship is that you don't have to worry about polotics and all of that. A negative is that you have no control over who's the dictator. Actually, no, like what Tui is saying (hehe, only now did I scroll down), Z means communism.

• Hmmm...I dislike how many people condemn communism as being bad. True, it hasn't always worked out in the past, but it's not all bad (just like capitalism). For example, health care programs in communist states are always really, really good. And there are other benefits. But with the pluses come minuses: no system is perfect.

I had a slight rant today about people who pronounce "nuclear" as "nukyular"--it drives me crazy! And one of my really good friends did it (it all started from a conversation about cockroaches...) and I nearly exploded. And my math teacher says "calcalator" instead of "calculator" and "varable" instead of "variable".

We had a field hockey scrimmage today! Yay! I really like field hockey! Happy happy...

Waaahh, I want a creative writing class! There are like no options where I am right now...and I'm not sure if it gets much better in high school.

Speaking of high school...(I'm in eighth grade now) I'm a little worried about it. This is because my dad is the principal of the high school (I go to a private school). So, knowing people, I'm worried about:

-People acting like it's my fault if my dad does something they don't like.
-People thinking that I will report them for little things that they do wrong/people thinking that I'm a teacher's pet or a suck-up
-Wanting to be away from my parents (my mom is also a Latin teacher in the high school: I don't take Latin, but still...).

I may or may not have my dad for biology in 9th grade. My mom knows that I'm worried about this, and she says that all those things (except the last one, I haven't told her about that) may happen. I need advice!! I shouldn't be worrying about this because eighth grade just started, but I can't help it! I doubt that anyone's been in my situation, but what do you think you would do?

• As a Junior in private HS, my best advice is...

Surround yourself with good friends. If you have set of good friends then a.) people won't want to have to deal with an entire pack of people just to say that they don't like what your dad did. b.) You'll be around people who wouldn't bother you for those reasons. At least at my HS, people are beyond anything other than evenly distributed grumbling when a person does something they don't like.

If it does happen, don't sweat it. It'll get old really fast when people catch on that you can't control what your dad does. (Don't encourage them by saying things like "Oh, I'll talk to Dad about it.")

...and that's all I can think of at the moment...

It'll be fine. Now just try to survive 8th grade.

I play field hockey! yay its soo much fun. what position do you play? I'm a halfback/midfield (what ever you want to call it). Can i ask what a 'scrimmage' is - we probs have a different name for it.

As for this whole communism thingy, my friends were doing it in History, and i learned all sorts of interesting stuff from them. The whole idea of communisim (based on a little red book) was meant to be applied to a fully developed, first world country, not the developing countries that it has been introed to. Also, it never took into account the stupid 'ideals' of human nature.

Oh well i gotta go get ready for work now... *mumblesstupideight'oclockshiftmumbles* I should be around in chat tomorrow morning (my time) cos my shift doesn't start til 10. cyas all later

• Ugh 9th graders are EVIL! EVIL!! Our school is not very new so it's too small for the number of kids in it. (1500-2000 kids) so naturally the halls are very crowded. Behind me and my friend was this one very annoying girl, she kept pushing us, (and in front of us there was a large wall of basketball players. 6 feet tall! Ahhhh there's no way we were able to make THEM move!)
Anyways she kept pushing me and my friend screaming MOVE IT! At the top of her lungs. And we kept crashing into the big guys. Finally annoyed I said "Why?!" And she said, "Because you're in front of my locker kid****." Dude she needs to be patient. after 5th period people move slow in the halls it's not like weren't hurrying also.
