Kk Azen, calm down. It's being a bit grumpy today...but it DOES occasionally let people in. You just have to keep trying, and it'll be nice to you eventually. Unless it's me. I think it hates me too. It can...how did you put it? "Bustle with Activity" it'll just take a bit of getting used to. Do I sound like someone you'd like to punch right now? I've been told I have that effect on people when I'm trying to reason with them...hehe. Don't punch me through the computer.

Cassandra: It's not that it sucks...it's just that today is the first day with a new system that doesn't work all the time apparently. Azen's just angry that it's not letting him in right now. Also, this isn't the chat room, so how could it suck? This is part of the forums...different area of the site that's run differently than chat. It's kind of hard to explain...but there is a good reason why Azen (sorry, Fred22) is upset.

Don't mean to sound grumpy, or like I'm lecturing or anything like that...it's just a natural tendency I have to sound like that...I'm going to make a horrible parent, I always give lectures...oh well.

I'm still freezing cold. It's too cold to be alive right now. I hate the cold...

Seabiscuit, sorry I didn't mean to make you grumpy. What I don't really understand is the trouble you are having. I've been reading most of the posts, and I can get into them just fine. Could you explaine this problem, so if it happens to me, I will know what to do about it and not go insane?

We had the PSATs today. I think I actually did really good, but in place of the essay for the writing part, they had a "writing skills" section, and I didn't get into it until several problems into the section. Um... didn't leave too many blank. XD I also was forgetting that guessing took points off, but with each wrong answer, you only lost 1/4 of a point, so... I couldn't've lost more than a point. (Unless I was a real idiot for several problems)

What's wrong with only reading manga? The last "normal" books I've read are W@W and HBP... The rest are all manga...

Nothing's wrong with them; it's just that it's unusual for me. XD I wasn't a manga person until a few weeks when my friends force-fed me them until I was addicted. Now I'm suffering withdrawal...

Oohhh yeah! I was teaching ATM algebra last night. XD Someone'll have to re-teach me the other linear equations; the only one I remember is y = mx + b, and I know there are about three others like point-slope, two point slope, and one that's something like ax + by = c. Oh, in fact, I think that's it. Yeah, but I still don't know the point-slopes, and I have to know them for my math class anyway. XD

Hnn... and what's the name of the y = mx + b guy? Doesn't he have a name?

Anyway, for a review:
- Linear algebra works just like any other algebra. Plug values into the variables, and you can come out with an answer.
- The same line will always have the same y - intercept, no matter the coordinates
- Coordinates are points on a graph, such as ( 5, 6); the first number is for x, the second for y.
- Help Graph Also note that the blue dot that is an example of a coordinate is wrong. It should be ( -8, 4) because it is on the negetive side of the x axis.
- Slope is "m" . It can be thought of as "rise over run." If the slope is 6/7, then you go up six (rise) and over to the right seven (run). Because that might be hard to visualize/understand, slope is shown on the green line on the help graph.
- Y intercept is "b". That is where it hits the y axis.

*huggles* Everyone has been complaining about that problem, but it hasn't happened to me yet. It's some kind of bug, because the limit isn't really as low as it's been acting; some people can't even get in when there's only one person in chat. I think there was a patch you could download.

Ugh...Gryphon: math sucks. Never ask me about it ever. I really don't know how I got into Advanced Algebra 2. Oy. I REALLY hope I didn't fail that test yesterday...that'd really stink.

But I know what y=mx+b is! It's slope intercept form, m being the slope, and b being the y-intercept! Does he have a name? I don't remember...except for slope intercept form. Don't know if that's what you needed to know...

PSATs! I have to take mine on Saturday morning, right before the biggest cross country meet of the season. I COULD have taken them this morning at another school, but no...Mom didn't want me to miss any classes. *grumbles* I like sleeping in before meets.

Hehe...my best friend got a Wednesday school today (basically a Saturday school, but for 2 hours after school on Wednesday) for forgetting her I.D. at home. I'm beginning to think my school's too strict. The whole I.D. thing is a good idea, but the whole no more hoodies thing? Yeah, not so good. Anyway...my friend had a Wednesday school with the guy I like. I'm jealous. I never get to see him unless I go to football games, and then I can't talk to him because he's on the field...yes, I like a football player. But he's not your stereotypical football player...what am I saying? You guys don't care about that, do you? You'd better not care.

Yeah, I knew it was something like that...we're studying Greek mythology right now in English...very fun stuff.

GUYS! I don't have school tomorrow, so I thought to myself "Self, I can sleep in until 12 tomorrow." WRONG! My mom goes and makes an orthodontist appointment for 7:50 in the morning. I hate my orthodontist. This was the only day it would have been possible to sleep in for the next 2 or 3 weeks. I miss sleeping in. Last night I only got 4 hours of sleep....I'm totally not functioning correctly. I actually fell asleep in study hall today, which was funny. I've got a total Nazi for a study hall teacher. She yelled at me for about 10 minutes...oh well.

When we lived in Florida, there was this huge tree in the nearby park, and we all used to climb on it- a group of kids, from five to fourteen or so. Not all at once, but you know. A few of us at a time.

So one day, a bunch of us were on it, and a woman came over to where the parents were chatting, and was all "That tree is an accident waiting to happen! Climbing trees is a hazard to your health! That building over there, I'm sure it has some rules about climbing trees. I'm going to report you all!" And she tried to.

But no one ever came out of the building to yell at us.

They probably thought she was crazy, too.

Oh hell yes. Cedric hasn't given me the maximum concurrent users error yet today, but she's definitely worse than Chime. :/ (actually, I got on when there were nine people, and never left. So she's only had one chance at an error.)

Meh I coming up in school we have to write a 3 minute speech about social change. I already wrote 2 pages of it. Writing isn't the problem. I hate speaking in front of people.
Do any of you have any advice for public speaking?

My teachers are evil now I have to take about 5 different articles from a newspaper and write a thesis for them and then find three supporting facts. Too much homework. And assigned on FRIDAY! Not cool!

AYYY! I got a B on my essay, and I did not do it! *free huggles for everyone* And there's a story to go along with this, so I'll pause my music otherwise it'll be uncomprehensible. A while ago, we read a retelling of the epic "Beowulf" which is this old, rotting story made several hundred years ago and was written down by the only people who could write then: priests and holiness. Anyway, the point is, we had to write an essay on it, picking on of the teacher's topics or requesting one of your own. I picked one on the importance of setting. She listed several due dates for different parts of the essay such as intro, first body paragraph, and conclusion, and theses were going to be peer-edited in class. Well, for the conclusion, I accidentally printed all of the essay (I only needed the final paragraph), and I'm glad I did that. XD Cuz the following monday, the full essay was due, and I didn't know. Guess who didn't do her essay? So I faked it; I stapled all of my prewriting together and submited it. The conclusion part, after all, was the full essay... just not as great a quality (when writing the paragraphs, I only gave them enough text and thought to pass for prewriting, and I hadn't edited it since). Yeah. And that came back as a B. I'm not gonna fail language arts! It also means that if I had done a little more work, I would've gotten an A (because the conclusion had marks from editing on it, I think she thought it wasn't a part of my essay and that I hadn't written the conclusion -- it said "no conclusion" on the paper, and I wasn't gonna correct that. XD).

well, for what its worth...

for one thing, that thing with people in their underwaear almost NEVER works.Unless you want to be disturbed, don't do it.

What you can do is practice practice, practice. Do it in front of your friends, family, mirror, whatever. Just keep doing it.

And if you get in a tight spot on the podium (or whatever your doing your speech at) just focus on the speech. Don't think about anything else. At all. It helps. I used to be that way to, but I got out of it. Doj't worry, its only 2 minutes. That's it!!

well, it won't stop raining here, but I like the rain. reminds me of a song called "Songs About Rain" which is a horrible title, but easy to remember in times like these.

well, my week of essay type tests has come and gone, and I managed to pas all of them (even though some were by a little).

I'm thinking of doing this program called the John Hopkin's talent search. Its where 'exceptionally smart children' in 7th and 8th grades get to take SATs, and if they reach a certain score,they can get scholarships or something like that.

now, don't get me wrong, I'm not bragging about being smart. In fact, I think that I'm not really smart, just gifted in a few ways like weird memory and not freezing up during tests and the like. I'm not smart; no.

Tomorrow is the Fall Fest at Fox Chase Farms!! WOO-HOO!
its actually called the apple fest, and its at this giant farm, ,in case you haven't realized, ,and its really fun because it is becoming a tradition for me an my friends.
They come to my house, ,we go to the Apple Fest, kid around, eat some free apple butter, run through the corn maze, and maybe catch a ride on the hayride.
Then they come back to my house, we make mac n' cheese when we get hungry, we watch movies, play outside games like tag (the funnest thing ever), sit in my dad's truckbed and talk, make fools of ourselves and dare each other. Then we go inside, drink hot chocolate or eat our mac n' cheese or whatever, ,and we play this game Hostage that we made up until they have to go home or whatever.

its just a thing to let us get away from being 7th graders, thinking aboiut schoolwork, feeling older than we are or whatever, and just letting us be kids!
