759 in mine, but are you sure that yours isn't just another version or something? Sorry for the one-liner, but gotta run!"...For my own part, I known my job; my commission comes from Those Who Are. My paw raised is Their paw on the neck of the Serpent, now and always..." - The (Kitty) Catechism

Ruby: mine is 607 pages. If yours is and its the UK cover, you're alright. The US editions always seem to have more pages. I would say they'd have a bigger font or something like that.
I finished it yesterday afternoon. I bought it on Sunday afternoon. I have to say that I enjoyed it, but I didn't cry for any of the characters who died.

Thank You Young Reader for the birthday wish. I enjoyed my birthday highly. And yes for all of you who are wondering I just had a sweet sixteen thank you very much.Originally posted by young reader:
happy late birthday, spyells. i'm reading the seventh book...IT RULES! i'll be so sad when i finish it though...on the bright side, we have two copys, one a delux edition with AMAZING illistrations i'll be taking a look at after i finish the book. :P some give things away, so their best not to look at until the end.
Okay people!! I changed the name of the title to include the word ' spoilers' so that we can post them. I also changed it so that we wouldn't have to white out anything. That gets annoying to me.
I finished the book. I didn't cry for anyone who died but that didn't stop me from being upset about a couple of them.
I'm not going to post spoilers until you guys reply to this post. I'm not so sure what you guys think yet. But that is the reason why spoilers is in the title.Writing is nice, but you have to live in the real world sometimes.-Me 09/06/07

I really enjoyed how much Lupin grew in this book. Spoilers- First, how he was ready to leave his wife and unborn son to help Harry and the others out of fear and frustration. His death, I think was unnecessary. It wasn't made into a big deal like Sirius's death, even though after Sirius's and Dumbledore's deaths, Harry seemed to see Lupin as a father/brother figure. I thought that was poorly done, with his death not being a big deal and stuff, but other than that, it was great. Snape was great, too. Spoiler- I thought it was a great moment when we learned that Harry had named the son that he was closest to (that much was obvious) after Snape. That was more moving than any of he deaths. I can create a world, out of letters and words. I can make you believe something in a paragraph. I can make you love someone in a page. I can make you go places that don't exist in a book. That's all the magic I need. [url]http://melpomene.freeforums

More spoilers: I think that Rowling killed Lupin off so that he'd finally be at peace: as a werewolf, he'd never be accepted in the wizarding community, even with Voldemort gone. And I thought that it was heart-wrenching when the last thing that Snape ever saw was Lily's eyes. And wasn't it cool that Snape never broke cover? Voldemort wasn't killing a spy, he was killing his strongest ally, who just happened to be in the way of what Voldemort wanted."...and that's how Snuggles the hamster learned that yes, things COULD always get worse."
"You are the most insolent child I have ever had the misfortune to teach." "Thank you."

Sirius was happier in death than in life, but Lupin's life had really just started. Did anyone catch if Teddy Lupin was a werewolf? If so, I can switch my favorite charachter vote over to the /alive/ werewolf. *shoots JK Rowling a nasty look* *Shoots Remus a nasty look as well* You should just have ducked, or something, you traitor! *cries some more*I can create a world, out of letters and words. I completely agree with Garrett. I had suspected that Snape was in love with Lily, but not so much that he cried over the letter that gave her love sixteen years after her death, and I wonder if she ever knew. But how did he know that her Patronus was a doe? And the deal between Snape and Dumbledore was very well done...and Voldemort never knew, or suspected.
I can see why JK killed Remus (if Garrett's theory is right), but that didn't make it any easier to read about. Tonks would never have been happy without him. Fred... It's horrible to say, but I'd rather she'd had Percy die. I was pleased that he and the family reconciled. It was about time he saw some sense.
I believe Teddy Lupin is a Metamorphmagus, Rubywolf. I was hoping Ron and Hermione would name their kids Fred and Nymphadora.
How come the title of this thread says "spoilers", and we're whiting it all out? Just asking...

i'm not sure how big mine is...the delux edition has more pages, for illustrations (and apparently, mine comes with a signed box) though it's just a copy of the signiture...it's STILL AWESOME! *cheers and celebrates* anyways, i'll be finished with it tonight...*should probably have put more effort into reading it sooner, but is easily distractable...* *is putting more time then usual in at th emoment though*I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.
For those of you who don't recognize WHO'S back, I'll give you a hint, and I don't mean the typo's in my posts - YR.

I don't know why you guys are whiting everything out.
I liked the part when Molly Weasely cursed. I know it isn't good to cuss but that was classic. I was angry when Fred died. I loved the twins. I was also hoping that J.K. would go into more detail in the epilogue of what happened to the characters. Like what they do now and stuff. I wasn't to pleased about Hedwig either. But I have to admit that it would've been to dangerous for Harry to use her to send letters while he was in hiding. Who was the person that used magic later in life? Some people say Dudley because of the power to love. But I'm not so sure.

I recall JKR saying something of that sort, but maybe it got edited, or maybe it was just supposed to be inferred that it was something about Harry; good question, I really have no ideaWeren't we supposed to find out what Dudley saw when the dementers attacked him?
I can't believe she killed Fred!!! *sends a Howler to JKR* YOU MEAN AUTHOR, HOW DARE YOU KILL FRED WEASELY, I WILL BE SENDING MY ARMY OF RAVENOUS PINK BUNNIES TO WRACK MADNESS AND MAYHEM ON YOUR HOUSE FOR YOUR AWFUL CRIME!!! Okay, calming down now...oh wait, not just yet, I still have to yell at her for killing Lupin and Tonks...
Well, Tonks always did hate the name "Nymphadora" and they had a girl child (Rose) so they couldn't exactly name her Fred...plus then I would have cried again if they had named her after Tonks, so...yeah. I cried a lot in this book, pretty much every time someone died (esp. when Snape died) I knew that he was innocent all along! Yay, my theory was correct!I was hoping Ron and Hermione would name their kids Fred and Nymphadora.
I can't believe the series is actually over!
Hey, I know, I should read the whole series over again

They did have boy and they named him Hugo.
I'll add more later I have to go eat right now.
This link explains some things about the deaths in the book. If you haven't read the book yet though I would suggest you don't read it.
