  • Uh... This is random, but I'm gonna post it.
Does anyone have a father who's always disappointed in them. Cause that's my father and I really am having a hard time.
    Other things...
I DO like waffles with maple syrup and also pancakes.
And I am also having A Nerf Gun War... and loosing horrible. Even though I have the automatic.
    EDIT:
I have lost, horribly. I have lost three of my bullets and three pairs of batteries. *shakes head while grinning* But next time... I WILL WIN!

    • This is the topic of great randomness! It's suplosed to be that way.

I'm splitting my time between the tv, this, Catharsis (A wonderful comic and forum whose insanity has kept me in practice for forum life,) and homework right now... Talk about multitasking.
      I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

      • So the Superbowl is on... Thought it was neat that they had the pilot and the crew of that "Miracle on the Hudson" flight. Jennifer Hudson sang a great National Anthem. Better than I could have done it.

I'm rooting for the Cardinals... and now the Steelers just got a touchdown!!! Why didn't the Cardinals just say they wanted to receive the kick instead of give it? Why?!?

        Okay. That's done.

YR: I think I'm going to still call you YR. It feels weeird saying Dragon Writer. It's an awesome name... but I'm so used to saying YR. Haha. (I like your icon by the way) I guess I can't break a habit. You can get online with an iPod Touch? That's cool. I want one now. haha.

BREAKING NEWS. They canceled the touchdown. Haha... but they're kicking a field goal now so they'll still score.

Alrighty I'm off to join the party.

        • I lived on Pensylavania for a while, so you know who I'm voting for... But then, I don't really watch football.
And that's alright - I LIKE YR. A lot more than I like being called DW anyway (if only I could get them to call me writer or dragon...)
And I liked my old screen name too - but I use this one everywhere else, just about, and I finally decided to make it official here.

Plus, now that my accounts have been merged, I got a GIANT post boost.

Oh, and simceni wasn't here to say it - *cheers for the fact that I have offiially been a member for three years* (Me and Mousey use New Years as the official date of my friendship anniversary with the people of young wizards.)
          For the record:
It's been great knowing you people. It's been fun, and insane, and I'm happy to be back here, where insanity rules the day. There are those of you who have been great friends, and those of you who I've argued with like you wouldn't believe*, and those of you who I barely know - but there's not a one of you who, given a choice, I'd choose to give up knowing.
*Do the words "God's spamming the Eragon Forums!" ring any bells? *mock glare*
          I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

          • It struck me as odd, in a way. My third forumversary at another forum is coming up (on the 25th), and the third forumversary of the forum itself is in a few days. There's usually an avatar fad on the 'versary but this year we can't decide what to do. Some people are inverting colours, some are turning them upside down, some haven't done anything yet. I think I will put shutter shades on my avatar and see if anyone else follows suite.

I'm not sure about the rules of posting artwork and pictures on this forum. Could anyone enlighten me?

I've been watching the puppy bowl because I'm a dork.

It's weird to be on a forum that uses VB after being a regular at ones that use PunBB and FluxBB (very minimal and customizable) stuff. Kinda nice, though.

(I hope I'm DOIN IT RITE in this topic)
I would EAT THE HELL outta that steak, then try to guilt the cow into dying just for being a cow. I'd be all "NOM NOM HEY COW YOU'RE NOT MEAT YET WHAT GIVES JERK" and then I'd glare and give it the silent treatment. Same goes for pigs and chickens... I would guilt a FLOCK of chickens into poultrycide in a heartbeat. "HEY YOU'RE A CHICKEN HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT"- Madhatte

            • I wanted to watch the puppy bowl, but we don't have cable.
My team lost. Oh well, it was a great game to watch anyhow. Well off to do my math homework, I've been putting it off all weekend.

              • I was just watching the Superbowl. I'm guessing tomorrow, everyone I know will be asking "Which team were you for? Steelers or Cardinals?" Aagh! I don't even like football that much! Still, I refrained from reading for the several hours that were the Superbowl and all the commercials. That one run was amazing; the one that was 100 yards! That person (I can't remember who, but I'm sure everyone else can...) can run really fast!

                • It was such a close game!!! Haha. Oh well the Cardinals played very hard. Great history made by the Steelers!! Six Superbowl wins!! That's exciting.

Jacq: I think there's a thread in here about fanart?? I was just searching... but I can't seem to find the thread I was thinking of. But you can post your artwork onto this forum. Like on a thread relevent to that topic or something. I hope that helped some.

I got to see some of the puppy bowl too, but I missed the halftime show!! Oh well. Haha.

That's all... I have to go to school tomorrow, unfortunately. Dai everyone.

                  • It snowed. Lots. Well, lots for this part of the world, anyway. When I opened my front door there was a drift two feet high on the doorstep. Mostly there's only six to eight inches of the stuff on the ground, but it's made going anywhere tricky. A snowplough has just been down the road. It crunched against one of the parked cars. Damage to snowplough? Not a lot. Damage to car? You bet. Looks expensive. Silly thing is I'm sure the car's owner could have parked it off the road when he came home yesterday, or even moved it off the road this morning. Bet he's wishing he had done now...

Glede: That's kinda a tough question... I guess my dad is disappointed in me, sometimes. Mostly he thinks I'm an inferior child, but I count that as the same thing... kind of... "Always" is a pretty strong word to use... I don't think anyone can be disappointed in someone "Always." But yeah, my dad gets disappointed in me sometimes... mainly when my little sis is being an angel...(or so they think...) *suspiciously glares at sister*

Lazy Leopard: Wow, I wish I had that much snow... there's a little bit still on the ground, and we're supposed to get more tomorrow... but right now it's probably almost 60 degrees outside, and it's a beautiful day. I just got back from taking a nice walk around the neighborhood.

                      • What is this "snow" of which you speak? It's 76°F, (24°C) here.

I am completely and utterly bummed. My camera "Err 99"ed me. This is the Canon dSLR equivalent of the blue screen of death. It won't even turn off unless I pull the battery. (sigh). It'll take probably two or three weeks to get it fixed, and the great birding really only lasts until March... I mean, I could use this opportunity to do the UoG (upgrade of death), but PMA is the first week in March, and that's when they announce all the new models and start up a new round of rebates, and I'd hate paying top dollar for an older model if a newer one's coming out in a month.

Oh, well, at least I can afford the repair bill.

                        • Snow... Yes, I think I remember it actually. Came to visit for a couple days. Now the birds are flying BACK for the winter.
Dad used to say that in California, they know what to do with snow: they put it up in the mountains where it looks pretty, and someone else has to shovel it. Someone else, meet yr, yr, meet someone else. Apparently, you two are going to be sharing an existance for the time being. That's what I get for moving. Not to mention being an only child with no one to trick into doing it for me. Unless... :: no, wait, that only works in movies. Guess I'm stuck.

Also: kli? Is that you? If so - hi! If not... Hi!

Emi: Thank you. I don't really have any YW fanart; mostly I make little animations and doodles. But maybe I'll start a general artwork thread for all to frolic in.

In other news... hahaha so many shutter shades! </out of context>

Okay then, he's dissappointed in me a LOT. Or most the time he's home. *sighs* lol. Us little sisters have to be angels. How else do we get noticed when all you big sisters are big and important. lol. But sometimes we can be quite the little devils. I should know... he he he.

                              • Dragon Writer? That settles it - we never met. Mind you, your join date told ms the same thing, but this cinched it. People around here just call me YR, in memory of my old screen name. Writer, Dragon, or DW (in a pinch) will also work, but YR's traditional.

Personally, i've just been wandering around the forums awaiting posts - I have no social life. ;( and you live in Cali? I used to - still refer to myself as a Californian. Or, as I like to call myself, a rare breed of people who cry when the weather drops below sixty. And then I moved to new York. (with various stops in between, and now Nevada. Ah, cruel fates... But at least I get to have jack in the bid again!)
