Walmart is EVIL VERY VERY EVIL!!! They have cheap stuff, so when they move in where there are 'mom and pop stores' the other stores go out of business... Then, they have to go work for Wallmart, where they get payed horrible wages, have to go onto welfare, and then cost the State money... So, the workers get screwed because they are getting bad wages, and the state gets screwed because it has to pay for all of said workers... While people 'high up in the food chain' get filthy rich.

Enough of that though, anyone out there read Eragon? I JUST found out that the sequel comes out like Aug. 23.... YAY! Now, I'll read HBP, then Eragon, and then it might be close for it to come out...

YES! I've read it! I even entered the poetry contest that ended in December! They said they'd announce the winners in February, but apparently there were waaay more entries than they predicted, so as of last month's newsletter, they hadn't made the decisions yet. (I know I've said this before, and I'm probably boring the oldies, but I'm anxious to hear if I won!) The grand prize winner gets an original piece of art made by Paolini himself, and a signed ADVANCE copy of Eldest and Eragon. Some others (I can't remember how many) get a signed copy of Eldest. To quote the rules:

Christopher Paolini himself will select the grand-prize winner,
who will receive an original piece of art; a signed advance copy
of Eldest, Book Two in the Inheritance Trilogy; and
an autographed deluxe edition of Eragon! .... There will be one (1) grand-prize winner and twenty (20) runners-up selected. Grand-prize winner will win an original

See? It ROCKS! It also says "Winners will be notified by mail on or about February 15." Sure...it's only four and a half months later. The poem had to be 100 words or less, and mine was EXACTLY 100. I wrote the poem, then went back and fiddled with it to make it fit. It took forever, because it was only 102 words, but I couldn't just cut out two words, or the poem wouldn't make sense! I seriously think I have a chance at runner-up, but it would be awesome to be grand prize winner! *suspiciously glares at people* No! I will not show you the poem! It's mine...my precious...you will steal it from me. I can't even tell you the title, cuz maybe Paolini has an account here and will read this very post!

Ok, I was too lazy to read most of what happened in the last half a page, however, I have one huge thing to say. I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to be in LA when HBP comes out, and so I won't get to read it for about a week after it comes out! How unfair is that?! I won't even get ahold of it, and I won't be able to come on here because everyone will be talking about it and I won't be able to not read all of it. I'm bad at not reading things. URGH!
The upside of all that is that I get to spend a week in LA playing taiko and hanging out with my grandparents. Yes, it's true, I'm going to the North American Taiko Conference. People from all over North America who play taiko. I'm taking a youth workshop, so I'll maybe get to meet some people who are actually my age who play taiko. Uber fun!
As to the sports bra question-I could care less, neither one is more comfy, but I think the ones that you have to hook are annoying. Sports bras are easier to get on.
I've never read Eragon. Didn't feel like it.

Meh. When I first found out about the end, I read the manga scan in English thingy on Janime and I sobbed. I thougvht it would be sweet if Yugi and Yami kissed at the end but they didnt >.< Anyway, I cried for hours too T.T . I've read every single manga scan and translation on Janime and other sites throughtout the whole Memory Saga, so I basically know what happens to everyone and everything...When I found out that Yami no Bakura died, I wailed and sobbed MUCH harder than I did for the Pharaoh...

I'm bored with the US already. I still haven't seen my friends yet and though most were on the trip, I miss my bestest friend soooo much! Grrr, if only she would get the heck online or answer when I call!!

Who's waiting for HBP??!!! I AM!!!! OMFG, IT COMES OUT LIKE SOOOO SOON!!!! AHHHHHH! YAY!!

I saw sumthing on those Potter Puppet Pals and I thought they were...er....may I put it "very wierd?" I didnt like 'em much. But then again MANY people find the things that I obsess over over the edge of disturbing... I like seeing Lupin protrayed as anime hottie (in Lupin X Sirius doujin) rather than a Puppet Pal -.-;

I'm buying new manga today! Hopefully Ceres 4 and DN angel 2 and 3. Yay!!!

I have no jet lag from missing a night of sleep and getting my time-senses all mixed up. Blah. I keep speaking French to people. I bougt something and I'm like "merci beaucoup madame pour le (insert here whatever I bought)."

Gah. What the heck am I supposed to do to entertain myself for the rest of the summer? Nothing? Yep.

It's going to rain AGAIN!!!! I am SICK of rain (as you can tell)!!! First we have a drought for about 5 years, then when we wish for rain...UGH!!! We weren't wishing for this much, I'm sure...*glares suspiciously at the people in the province*.
I feel sorry for Manitoba though. We gave most of our most recent rain to them, now they have enough water deep enough for a truck to disappear under. Not to mention they're more or less down stream of us...

I got out Eragon from the library just last week, but forgot to read it... I heard it was really good, and the next one was comming out. I had planned to read the HBP first, then Eldest, so I could make the wait for WaW more bearable....I never heard about a poetry contest though! Maybe I should get out Eragon again...

I've never been to France, but my mom has. I might want to go....I know some basic French, since Canada is a bicultural (English/French) country. I learned most of it from reading cereal boxes, believe it or not, but I don't think I could actually say anything more than "Où est le toilet?"
But for a journey of self-discovery, I think I'd have to either tour Canada (ie drive all the way across the Trans-Canada) or go to China. Both would be cool!

It's really hard to type, as I'm at my friend's house, and am doing the one fingered thing while eating watermelon. I've had a weird day.

T he reason I'm even in my friend's house is hard to explain. See, she's out of town, and my cousin, who lives right down the street from her is watching her cats, so I took my key to her house ( I have a key for when she forgets hers after school...so we don't have to cut open anymore screens) and went to visit her cats (and eat the watermelon that was rotting in her fridge.)

Hold on a minute, I'm going to go put the rest of the watermelon away until tomorrow or whenever I next come here...

Okay, back again. I'm actually hiding here to hide from my family, whom I have spent the whole day with! ARGH! Yes, I'm going crazy, and tonight I have to sleep in a tent in the backyard, all by myself! AH! I'm afraid to sleep out there, my neighbors are weird.

I had these great ideas of what to put in this post, and now I can't remember what they were! Watch, I bet in a minute the police will be here, because my 3rd grade teacher will have called them because she probably thought I was breaking into the house...hehe. Did I mention that she lives on this street too? This street is like a cult, everyone on it has kids, and is nice to eachother, and does fun things like secrect santa families, and white elephant gift thingies, and provide beer for the dads on Halloween. I'm only like this because I'm kind of jealous. I don't even know half my neighbors, and none of them have kids my age...well, there is one girl, but she's a, well, a word I can't type here.

Today I went to my sister's orchestra concert. Everyone was fawning over her because she had an improvising solo. I hate that! Even when I did still play an instrument, no one fawned over me! Granted, I played piano, but I was still good! She plays the violin, and isn't that good. I hate it when family comes to town, because then I get jealous of them all...it's like I can't do anything that impresses them... "Oh, you can jump in horseback riding? Well, David just programed a computer, and he's only 10! You can read a LOTR book in one day? Maddy is in the best orchestra in your high school!" What can I do? I'm not that good at basketball or running, and, I just feel unwanted in my family right now. This always happens around the 4th of July. I'll be back to normal when they all go back home, and I get a full night's sleep. Hopefully. I'm the red face on the bottom, couldn't you tell?

I am in uber-death mode, so I'm going to try and keep this short to prevent saying something I'll regret. First of all, you may be wondering what uber-death mode is. You may not be. I don't care. I have 3 death modes. Normal, everyday death mode: This is my usual hostility. Uber-death mode: Homicidal hostility Insane death mode: Suicidal hostility. My time is divided like this: 70% death, 20% uber, 10% insane. Yeah.

My nails are navy blue because my mom won't let me paint them black. *mutters curses* She's letting me dye my hair black though. Score. Now if I could just convince her to let me get totally peirced and tattooed up and paint my room black, all would be lovely. Oh, and get fangs. I'd love to have fangs.

Let's see...um, my cousin forced me to read one of her mangas at her swim meet. I'm the swim team groupie. I don't sleep with the team members. *shudder* I promise. It wasa The Wallflower. She only owned number 4, so whatever. I actually enjoyed it. Most of the time. Not when she was grilling me about being able to identify the characters. Whatever. Oh, and she's insisting I read Model also. I need to head to the library.

HAPPY 4TH TO ALL YOU AMERICANS!

Umm we went to see fireworks earlier. Dotn get me started! The fireworks were okay and the finale was good. I have seen better though. Before that though we had been there for about 4 hours. There was a few friends of ours with us. Only one kid plus us 3.

We had alot of those things that pop when they hit the ground. All of us EVEN THE ADULTS were throwing them at eachother. And I mean handfulls not one at a time. It was awesome.

Lesse, I'm working alot. Babysitting 2 diffrent families, two twins and a bro and a sis. Then I help this photographer sometimes. Its awesome I make a great amount of money for someone my age.

Its been normal around here I guess.. OMG something happened the other day that I thought never would. I saw my ex at the pool. I never thought I would say those words and i did. It was a baddd break up sooo it was pretty odd.

I was out all day today and I had a hot dog around 12 30 and then nothing else until like 7. I was HUUUNNGGRRYY!

*dances* I'm on Lappy! Ok, so thats a really lame name for him, but I'm short of ideas, and yeah. I would like to say that the keyboard on this thing ROCKS! Much better than the mac keyboards that I've used at uni I've even adjusted to using it so now when I try and use a normal one, it feels kinda weird...

Well, I haven't posted for a few pages... but I've been in chat a fair bit. *shrugs* A brief outline of my life for the past few days follows:

Sunday night I spent the night at a friends house. We stayed up until 1am () singing and mucking around with her tuner (and funky high parts from PotO and The Sound of Music. Neither of us is as out of tune as we thought we were. On Monday morning, I left a little earlier than I usually would have, because my local video store was (and still is) selling some Doctor Who vids. They're like $5 each so its cool. I bought An Unearthly Child (the first one) and Tomb of the Cybermen. They're in really good nick too - and they're not ex rental. The guy said that he'd proably be getting some more for next monday, so I guess that I'll be going back then too . I might go back earlier and get another couple ... if I can find the money ... Today I worked. 'twas alright, I guess. It didn't go all that quickly - or all that slowly. Kinda boring too, because the front of the store was really tidy, so I had nothing to do between customers. Tomorrow should be better, as I think we have a catologue coming up that means tomorrow should be full of rearranging the front of the store (always 'fun').

So yeah...

SHARKY IS BACK - for a while... *tackle hugs* I never thought that I would miss talking to you guys soo much *more huggles* - were you here when gigo called you a hot, pink and fluffy shark? XD I can't remember.

Hmm... Ok, I'm trying to work this out. Do you Americans out there get HBP on the 15th (i.e. when its midnight GMT)? Or do you get it on the 16th? Hehehe.. while I'm on the subject of HBP, one of my freinds has dared me to read it in four hours. And I've taken them up on it. I need to spend the next week or so practicing. Its meant to be between GoF and OoTP in length right? So if I can read GoF in a little less than four hours, I should be able to finish HBP in four... Another one of my friends reckons that this is going to make my head explode - and she wants to be there when it happens, but she doesn't want to have to clean up the mess... so yeah. I will take a stop watch and give you an exact time as to how long it took me when I'm done

Tatiana, I TOTALLY know how you feel. My mom was being stupid this weekend, and one thing she was being stupid about was chat. The house comp is in the dining room, which is basically an extension of the living room. My mom and sis were watching TV and the comp happened to be on so I was checking a few things like e-mail. Then I came into chat and was playing neopets for awhile. I didn't stay in chat long, but I was still playing neopets after I closed it. About 5 minutes after I completely closed the chat and I was still playing neopets, my mom asks me what I was doing. I said I was playing neopets, and she's like "Ok, that's it. You're off the computer for the rest of the day for lying to me." And I was all like WTF? I was almost done checking something on neopets, so I said just a minute, mom. She got mad and came over and clicked the X, and then was yelling at me for getting into things I'm not supposed to. I said I was just playing neopets, for crying out loud. And she's all like, "well I saw you click out of something when I looked over to see what you were doing, and what were you typing so fast?" Now usually I do switch between windows and use neopets as a sort of cover, but this time I wasn't. I was just checking things really fast and the screen was flashing, but I wasn't switching windows for once in my life! I HATE IT when my sis spies on me and tattles...she can be SO immature sometimes. I mean, she's 17, not 7! I can understand if a 7 year old tattles, or if a 7 year old cries b/c you say crap or if a 7 year old might think that rock music is "bad"...

Anyway, I'm going to stop ranting for now. I should be in chat for 6 more hours, so yeah. *wanders off*

Hello all. Just signed-in yesterday & am still wandering around the forums, figuring things out. I wanted to answer alla's question about when we in the US get HBP..... not until after midnight the 15th (in other words, on the 16th of July). I pre-ordered through Amazon & they have guaranteed it to be delivered the 16th. I did the same with OoP & they were true to their word. I've also pre-ordered the Bloomsbury ed., but don't expect it to arrive on the day (it has a ways to travel.....). I actually decided to sign-in to YW because the HP boards I'm involved with will be winding-down a bit after HBP (strange, but true), & I've been wanting to explore the online YW-world. There's a lot to learn! This is good!!
