  • As far as I know the upside down Y thing is the peace symbol still... the Yin Yang sign is a sign for good and evil or something like that... I think...

    • I haven't posted in a while, have I? While there's a lot that's been going on lately, I don't really feel like typing it all up at the moment, so I'll just give the short version. MUAHAHAHA!!! *cough* I'm okay, really. What? You don't believe me? Surely an Angel wouldn't lie!

THIS IS HOW A HEART BREAKS!

*blushes* Oops. Sorry. Random song running through my mind. :.There she goes/there she goes again.: *pauses*

      Oh! Um...yeah.

Friday: Pick up Emily on the way to the place which contains random elements of "fun". Follow Zach and J around as they play miniature golf and keep score for them. See Dani and her duct tape shoes. Look through Shoe's lovely photo album from his trip to Scotland and England and wherever else he went. Play laser tag twice, after which Zach leave. Head over to Sonic where we chat and eat and drink.

Ah! All these incomplete sentences! I can't do it anymore!

Friday night: Emily and I talk to Shoe on the computer and back him into 3 corners. *cough* Somewhat inside joke thing there. We stay up late talking, probably around 3ish, but sleep in until noon. I've never done that before. Yeah... Anyways. We went to Kohl's, where I got this cute strapless dress for like 9$. Oh wait, this is Saturday! Oh well.

Sunday (today): Church. I worked in the nursery as usual and had a small child attached to my hip most of the time. So sweet. I lub little children.

I made a layout!! On xanga!!! And and and and... *continues with the 'and' for eternity* MY AWESOME LAYOUT! Actually, it's horrible. I just like the background. See what you can do with Paint and Clip Art? *snicker*

Gryphon will rule the world with an iron fist! I mean, paw!

      *cough*

I thought the upside down Y was the peace symbol as well.

So...yeah. I'm still talking to Zach for like two hours every day. It rocks. *grin* J said that I was all Zach talked about when they went to that baseball game. Heh.

My mum and li'l bro went to the Y to swim/do whatever they do there, so I have the house to myself. MUAHAHAHA! Oh, wait. My dog's here. Nevermind then. She's little princess, and she knows it.

      • I think you need to introduce a predator or two.
        Predators for bookshelves:
        <LI> Biting books
<LI> That book monster or whatever it was that helps recycle old phone books
        <LI> Silverfish

        Any other ideas? ...

Ohhh... awesome awesome awesome! The cinema at UQ is going to be showing Howl's Moving Castle. And I think its going to be for free ... Maybe I should dig the book out again ... I haven't read it in years.

Hmm... I want to put that cute little Gryphon in my siggie, but I don't want to change too much of it... hmmm...

        • Another week...I think I only have 3 more weeks of work left!
BTW Tatiana, I was watching a bit of My Fair Lady this weekend (it was on tape, and I got through the first tape).
Bewitched is a good movie, and I really want to see the Fantastic 4 and Sky High (whenever that comes out).
Gibby, I wish I could see you sometime! If everything goes well I might be out of town the week you have off, but if I get stuck at home I wish you could drop by...but I suppose Chattanooga is out of your way? *sigh*
Anyway, I should be working b/c I have 2 projects to do...
*goes back to work and lurks in chat*

Update: I just found out that one of my former teachers died on Saturday He wasn't a fave teacher, but he was a really good guy. RIP Mr. Richard Cate.

          • W-w-w-w-waAAAAAAAH!!! You stole my bunny and changed it into Gryphon!!! Waah!

PM: *stares* You were a K-k-k-KID? AHHH!!! IT DEFIES LOGIC!!! YOU WERE HERE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF TIME. With all those BYWBs.

I SWEAR, my books BREED. But I absolutely refuse to let it become a habitat. I stuff my most important assignment of the year into my schoolbag just like that, I leave my desk with pens/paper/pencils all over the place, my 'Rubik's Cube' is always somewhere after I have to spend about 3 minutes to fix it back after my cousins mess it up, but MY BOOKSHELVES SHALL NEVER BECOME A HABITAT.

            Oh! You're here. Err...right.

My books are at war with each other. My Alex Rider series refuses to stay where it is. I don't know what it's so annoyed about. The only books who are fine are my sister's Enid Blyton books. But they breed the most. I can never count them. I think my sister knows this...

ARGH! I've got an overdue library book! I never have overdue library books! AHHHHH! Sorry, gotta go!

            • Gigo, books DO breed. I now have 3 copies of Harry Potter 1 on my shelves, and have no clue how the extra 2 got there. And I don't know whose they are...rubix cube! I have one of those, it's my dad's and is from the 80's. You read Alex Rider too? Aren't those books good?

Well, today was the first day of summer gym. Guess what? It STUNK! Only 14 more days, and I'll never have to take another gym class. Ever. *Dances wildly around the room* I can't wait until I'm free!

My brother just leaned over the keyboard and almost dripped egg salad on Spot (laptop.) He will die if he gets egg salad on Spot. DIE! I'm serious, if he comes any closer...

Alla: the books being the predominate lifeform - yes they are a lifeform, they keep breeding/multiplying when I'm not looking... , but then I guess that my entire book collection keeps breeding, its just my shelves won't grow, so their habitat is starting to become overrun...
If universes can breed, why can't books? I notced this happening on my shelves too. I guess we need to do what Gryph suggested and use predators...

Lisa:Hola! Aloha! J'mappelle Lisa! Comme t'appelle tu? Comme ca va?
Okay...random! Yay! *no clue why she typed in other languages* *no clue WHAT she typed in other languages*
You said "Hello, hello! I am Lisa! What's your name? How are you?".... being random is good... interesting new icon, not sure what it truly is besides a strangely colored yin-yang, btw. I'm never gonna get rid of Ryou-kun (unless its for Bakura or Seto-san...)

Who will conquer the world, Bunny or Gryphon? (or neither...)

Artemis Wolfang: Wahaha. Noa's 18 days older than him, technically, you know. *snuggles Noa*
...He may be 18 days older than Seto-kun, but he still looks like he's 6 years younger! Haha!
...Hmm... If Noa was still alive he'd look JUST like Seto! It would be disturbing. If Seto altered his bangs and dyed his hair blue, he'd like seriously BE Noa....how unnerving...

Artemis Wolfang-chan: Now that, I don't agree with. Bakura's just bad... the Lone One's even sneakier than Bakura. Baku baka! Heheh...
You dare deny Bakura's ultimate evilness! AHHHH!!! Ok, I guess the Lone One-san is the being that CREATED death, but Bakura still USED that death against...well...alot of people. *Ticks off names on fingers* Bakura is at least the evilest person in the whole show by far.

Guess what? I think I'm going to write (actually, I wrote it a while ago) a YGO/YW cross-over! I guess I'll post it today then. Or at least the intro. I'll link it soon when it's posted. Half of you won't understand it XP but that's ok. You weren't meant to.

Here's a clearer explanation of my avie: Glinda and Elphaba are opposites, and that's basically what the Yin-Yang symbol stands for. Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch. Elphaba is smart and bookish, Glinda is ditzy and popular. Night and day, good and evil, all in balance. They're opposites that form a whole. Example for Kaiba: Kind of like Ryou and Bakura. One's quiet and gentle, the other is violent and cruel. (Or that's the impression you get from the anime. We all know Ryou isn't all that weak.) I chose pink and green because Elphaba has green skin and Glinda...is popular, and seems to wear a lot of pink.

                  Kaiba

Oooh! Can't wait! I love your stories!

My books don't breed...wait, they do. If I haven't read them, they seem to multiply, so I have to read them as quick as possible. They steal stuff though...just now, I was looking for my soda which I could've sworn was on my dresser, right behind me. It wasn't there, but I looked at the bookshelves across the room, and there it was! Creepy.

I have 4 bookshelves, they're entirely full, and I may have to start clearing them out to make room for the two stacks of books by my bed. My sibs are officially not allowed to keep their stuff on my shelves anymore. I may even have to move my precious Animorphs books out. *sniffle* They were my first sci-fi/fantasy ever. I found the third book on my teacher's shelf in 3rd grade, and I loved it. Now my brothers have read them, even my older brother!

I've already moved my Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, and Babysitter's Little Sister books out. *shudder* Nancy Drew was ok, Hardy Boys was better, but BSLS was terrible! How could I have like them...well, I had an entire shelf+ of the Boxcar Children. I was a weird kid.

...Things live on my shelves. Strange things...right now, there's a LotR puzzle, an orc, an Uruk-hai, a warg, innumerable Beanie-Babies, a cow, MY SODA AGAIN (HOW DID THIS HAPPEN???), a blaster, a lantern, a flashlight, Eomer, three dragons, a wizard, Obi-Wan, Darth Vader, Jar-Jar Binks, two Pez machines (Grievous and Jango Fett), the lid to an M&M bottle (with Grievous' head on it), a shell, two cats, twenty or so angels, a Vader-themed box, a Yoda wallet (came with M&Ms inside!), a picture of me in soccer, two medals, six trophies, three peacock feathers, a Pokemon tin, oh! more shells, a Burger King crown (Star Wars themed) several more soccer pictures, my graduation-from-elementary-school speech, a plaque from soccer, a never-been-opened box with Gimli and Legolas on a horse, five billion bookmarks, four ribbons, lots of games, all my old Pokemon/Star Wars/Digimon/Harry Potter cards, a life-size Lego lightsaber I built, a star wars cardboard poster from the Safeway display for Episode II that my brother gave me, Star Wars stickers, a Yu-Gi-Oh themed binders...oh, and books. Can't forget those. I have problems.

My Yu-Gi-Oh cards are special, though. I keep THEM on my desk, within arm's reach of the computer. They have a special shelf all the themselves.

For the people who are helping Gryphon conquer the world, you can add spaces in frot of the face and paws by typing ;psbn& backwards in front of each. The reason I typed it backwards is because it'd just turn up as a space.

                      • Yesterday I got Interpol: Antics. I'm listening to that right now...

Heheh. The other day I tore the pink flowery ribbons off the bottom of my black pants. Well, not tore exactly. The ribbons and pants both came out whole. But I finally realized that I was never wearing the pants because of the ribbons, so now they're off.

I know how to make iPod people in photoshop now! (y'know, the black shadowed people dancing on bright backgrounds like in the commercials... if you've seen a commercial, you'll know what I'm talking about.) So I made iKit and iNita. And then I felt guilty for making them without owning an iPod...
Links are different now- if you could only see black, I saved them differently and re-uploaded. Should work now.

BBJ! You're lucky that wrapped, otherwise you would've broken the boards. Putting four lines of smileys next to a two liner (we say one-liner most of the time, but one-liners or short posts with no content = same thing) doesn't make it ok. Short posts can be ok _occasionally_ if they have content- answering someone's question about the rules or something and maybe providing a link would probably be an ok sort of short post if there wasn't anything else to reply to on the thread -but posts with no content in general are really bad. *headdesk* Ok, wildflower is done ranting.

I've had too many overdue books. A couple weeks with less than twenty books for once landed me with about ten dollars worth of fine one time... and I had books overdue for nearly a month at the base library, which, thank goodness, doesn't have a fine. Oh, oh, we went to my grandma's house yesterday, and it was an hour long drive, I brought a couple of CDs and my headphones. In the car, mom was listening to annoying classic rock, so I asked her to change. And then change again. Then she passed up something that sounded like it might've been good (and modern) and stopped on a radio ad. So then she was like, do you want to play one of your things? I had put my CDs on the floor in the backseat, so I reached behind. Slipknot was the only CD I could see. So whatever, I took that one and put it in. XD No comment for most of it, but mom said that Circle was a "pretty" song. It is .

Hmm, the contents of my shelves. The top shelves have various soft toys (care bears, a couple of Russ Teddies, some of the Harry Potter plushes, and a Penguin Ty Beanie buddy) then on one side of my room the books start, and on the other I have 3 shelves of beanie babies They've stopped breeding ... then theres books books and more books. I had a larger collection of Hardy Boys and Nancy Drews, but I thought that I grew out of them, so I sold them. Oh yes, then I have several shoe box size things that have piles of paper with stories and that on them. Mum doesn't like those boxes...

Book predators? Friends who borrow... nah my friends always give books back Well, I make sure that I get the books back Now that I think about it.. I don't know whether I have the space on the shelves to fit the next HP book... I think I need to rearrange my room...

Anyways. I made another costume for MedSoc yesterday, all by myself It took FOREVER! Which, considering that thats like the most complicated thing that I have ever sewn, is not too bad, now I'm going to embroider it XD.. That takes even longer

                            • Hmmm...my friends don't like my books. See, I have one shelf with my favorite books: YW, Tamora Pierce, shoot, what's on that shelf? *takes out flashlight* Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Alex Rider series, some Meg Cabot books, Faerie Wars books (has anyone ever heard of them?) oh yeah, and Chicken Soup for the Horse-Lover's Soul (that book is SOOOOO sweet. It made me cry.) Also, in front of the books: a Magic-8-Ball, some more books, a Snoopy snowglobe, a weird thingie that's supposed to stimulate my brain (I got it when I was 2, I don't know what it is called.) The top shelf has cds piled on it, since I never fixed them after I loaded them onto my iPod. The other shelf has Horse Illustrated magazine piled on it, with a few Beanie Babies (horse beanies, with the breast cancer one.) The rest of the shelves have miscellaneous books from my childhood, like my personal favorite, Muddigush. It's now out of print, which makes me sad. There's a whole bunch of stuff in front of those shelves too: basketball plaques, honor roll ribbon thingies, a stuffed cat, some year old Tootsie Roll Pops And I forgot about all the model horses that are everywhere, from when I was younger.

You may have noticed that I didn't mention my Harry Potter books. Well, that's because they have their own special shelf on my nightstand, beneath all my allergy meds and stuff (I'm NEVER listing stuff on my nightstand...but I must say, it has a lot of books on it too...)

You know why I'm even on right now? Some girl in my horseback riding class told me to go online and check out her fanfiction stuff, but I forget her pen name...oops.

Wf: how did you know that's one of my favorite quotes from the series? Giant methane slugs, hehehe.

Heh. What I'm dieing to ask now is (only because this is how our neighborhood humor works): "Is it plastic and hollow?"

I guess I have to add something because the above would only pass as a oneliner. (And quake, disrespectful newbies with two-liner posts whose second line is 75% smiley. That's still a short post)

I got my braces off yesterday. It feels weird, like I have no teeth. I thought it would really hurt, but it didn't at all, even in orthodontist terms. ("You won't feel a thing" = AGONY!!!) So I got a retainer that I'm supposed to wear for four hours a day and all night. The four hours don't have to be consecutive or even in hours, but all the same, four hours turns out to be a really long time.

This morning I woke up, felt smooth teeth, and thought: "I definitely was wearing a retainer when I fell asleep." It took 15 minutes to find it XD . Btw, retainers (unlike contact lenses) are things you can't swallow on accident. And I'd like to see you try it on purpose.
