The Topic of Great Randomness

Hey all, sorry its been a while.. Man im tired.. just got done mowing the lawn, and weeding the garden *shudder* garden was scary.... Ummm, I have 2 books shelves, with alot of my books set on top of my other books :P one is books ive read, and the other is books i havent gotten around to yet/series im in the middle of (HP doesnt count, and neither does robert jordan) umm, I ead a WHOLE bunch of nancy drew in fifth grade, but only for AR (accelerated reader, read a book, take a test, and get points, i got up to like 200 in the last month or two of school, person who won had like over 1,000 ) cause i could read them quickly, and they were worth 5 points :P I had a couple hank the cow dog books.. and my brother has a book shelf in his room and there are like 2 medium boxes of all my little kid books :P I have totally random stuff sitting on my book shelf.. my magic card tricks box, my old clock/radio, my sega handheld, my slinkie, and random nicknaks that have collected on there... oh, and i try to keep movie ticket stubs on there.. i think i keep knocking them off, and they get lost, but i used to have ticket stubs to, HP1 on opening day, LoTR on opening day, Star wars3 on opening day, van helsing, x-men, the ring 2, and other random stubs.. my books are sooo random.. alot of the ones i have are ones my mom and dad got out, and i'll never read :P a couple up there have like the 2nd book in the series missing... My sword of truth is missing the first one, GRRR, best book too.... ummm, i cant think of anything else i have up there.. one of my bookshelves used to have all my VHS disney movies and other movies.. we have a HUGE one out in the livingroom stuffed w/ DVDs.. and a semi-bookshelf in the livingroom that has really random books.. its scary, encyclopedias, philosophy, science (like einstein), random history, the koran, books to learn russian, old math books for school, cat who books, some hemingway books, some classic books virgil & homer... im going to stop now... lol, i swear, there are books in our house i didnt know we had.. every time we go see some movie based off a book, or my dad talks about a random book.. ill say i want to read it, and he'll tell me, i think its on our bookshelf ssomewhere... for real, like war of the worlds, the three musketeers, the odessey, and other random books i say i want to read :P well, bye peeplz

Chat hasn't been very lively today...mostly me squee-ing over the fact that I actually was able to download Doppler and listen to the DD podcasts!!! (I don't think I was SUPPOSED to download anything, but whatever, it was WORTH IT!) I heard DD's voice, and she sounded exactly what I thought she would sound like I can't WAIT to hear Uptown Locals

As for my bookshelf, I'll try to remember the contents of it, from the top down. On top is some random stuff, and it's where I set my glasses and watch when I'm not wearing them. The first shelf contains random stuff, including my other watch, my hairbrush (that I hardly ever use), and my VHS collection and partial DVD collection (some of my DVD's are around the TV in the living room) and my XBox games. I also stowed my "old" paperback AWAb book, which I am prolly going to get rid of eventually b/c I found an early edition hardback. I always get my second and third shelf mixed up, b/c they both are half books, half stuff. I think the second shelf has my XBox controllers (whose cords are hanging down to the floor for some reason), and the third shelf has a few random things, including the box to my mom's cell phone. The bottom shelf has my XBox and my CD player and some more random things. On the floor in front of my bookshelf, between the bookshelf and my mattress, is a bag of books that I bought at the used bookstore but haven't had the chance to put them up yet. (Laziness strikes again ) Also, next to the bag of books is the USB cord to my MP3 player. I think I might take a pic of my bookshelf today and try to upload it so I can show you guys what it looks like, hehe.

I'm trying to think of which books I have on my shelf...I remember some of them, but I get the two shelves mixed up sometimes. Anyway, here's the ones I do know. I have 4 volumes of the Star Trek Reader, a collection of short stories about young adults of the future, 2 copies of Door into Shadow, and also a copy of Door into Sunset (I think; I have the 2nd and 3rd Door books)...uh, goodness, my mind just went blank...anyway, I only have a small percentage of my books in my room (whether they're on the shelf or on the floor) b/c most of my books are still packed into 3 boxes out in the middle room. (the middle room is sort of an extra room of the house) I have about 200 books, give or take. I haven't counted them in a long time, so I'm not sure exactly how many I have.

YOU PEOPLE WRITE TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to get off soon because I'm boring my babysitter/nanny/person who drives me places cause my mom is at work to death. BUT I just wanted to say good bye for a while. I'm off to California for a week. WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I'll go into HP remission for a few days, then I'll be on to obsess about it with you guys.

While we're on the discussion of rooms, what do you guys have under your beds? It's just fun to hear about the random junk we all have in our rooms. I have...USB disk, USB cord thingie, USB cord for iPod, laptop box, iPod box, Sims 2, Sims 2 box, there's a spot where Spot (laptop) lives, a computer game for the Game of Life (the board game), some miscellaneous software like Microsoft Windows and iTunes, old model horse boxes, 4 pairs of Levi's 518 jeans, size 5 longs, and...I can't see the rest. Who cares? I don't care what's under my bed.

Today, at summer gym my friends who aren't in summer gym came and hung out with us and played volleyball and stuff. It was funny, because they were sitting around, and the teacher came up and was like, "Girls, you have to get up and do something." They replied "We aren't part of summer gym." You should have seen the teacher, she looked so embaressed. It was hilarious.

Yesterday my brother killed a fly that's been in my house since July 4. Yeah younger brother!

Can you tell I'm dead? *no* I'm exhausted.

4 more days! AHHH! YES! Mom said we have to wait until morning to get HBP, but at least we're getting it! She has to go to a wedding for Dad's cousin, so there's no way we could go at midnight. *pouts* I LIKE staying up late for stuff like that!

Kaiba-chan, you wanted me to do a songfic for Bakura? Well, I'm thinking of doing one about his relationship with Ryou. No, not romantic...probably...but just how they have to deal with their...conflicting personalities. I'd like any ideas you have for songs to go along with the fic, or any ideas in general.

I TRIED to watch Racing Stripes today. Problem? It was broken. It was a Blockbuster DVD, and it kept slowing down to one pixel at a time, then we'd fix it, and two minutes later it was broke again. Grr.

Oh, that reminds me: At the store where my brother works, there's a "countdown to HPB" display. 'Cept it's always wrong. Steph and I went the other day, and it said 10 days. There were only 8. Today I stopped in JUST to change it. It STILL said 6 days. Grawr. The other one (down the aisle from the one I changed) said 5, but I had to run to get to the pool before break. THEN we went to Giant today, and it said 5 days. I pointed at the sign and said "There's only 4 left!" Then mom went and tore it off for me. Heh. I can't believe the stores have no HP obsessionists. I mean, it only takes 10 seconds to fix it. You're not gonna get fired for that. (Both stores have union contracts, so you have to have a REAL reason to get fired. How do I know? My brother keeps me informed.)

Oh, I didn't like the old avi-wait, that's a lie. I love it. But it's kinda boring, and not many people will get it unless I explain. So, the new one is Rebekah (or, if you like the spelling Rebecca), an awesome Yu-Gi-Oh! character who doesn't get enough recognition. She's a genius with a Teddy bear, and she kicks butt in a duel. Seriously, she's around 11, and she's in college. (Kaiba-chan, if you want to correct the age, go ahead. I don't know anyone's exact age...) That reminds me: They probably said Seto was 18 because he was 16 when the show started, and the duel takes place between Battle City and Orichalcos Saga, and they make references like "Yugi-boy's whooped your sorry behind for what, going on three years now?" - Pegasus.
Another funny Pegasus quote from the movie: "No one could come back from a defeat like that. Except for Kaiba-boy, of course. Oops, did I say that out loud?"

It was SO COOL! Now I just need to see if I can get her on Skype *coughcough* Anyway, it's another day at work. The week is going by so quickly! Oh, and do you guys like my new avvie? Lisa: Rebecca is twelve in the original anime, eight in the dub. She wasn't in the manga at all. She's still an ok character though, considering that she wasn't in the manga which I happen to strictly worship.

The reason they said my Seto-kun is age 18 is because they're stupid and don't know anything, not because it's somehow three years later. He's sixteen through-out (his birthday's October 25th, and I believe Memory Saga takes place in the summer...) By the time of GX he may be well over eighteen, I forgot how many years later that is... Anyway, I haven't seen the YGO movie (it was MADE by the dubbers! I DETEST the dubbers to the pits of the shadow realm! [the shadow realm itself if the dub term for hell] so why see a movie that's MADE by those horrid people??!) I mentioned that I think maybe a page or two back in TOGR, but whatever. Discussing dubbers makes me angry, and I don't want to be angry right now.

Wow, three people have YGO avvies at once! Amazing! I may change mine... but not matter what it'll be Bakura or Seto-san. (My two ultimate bishounen in the world!)

Rad: Your room looks strikingly like mine! At least that rather messy bookshelf does. I have shelves of books, loaded with crap and random objects ranging form mini plastic Eiffel Towers to pet rocks I painted in pre-school... I don't have enough heart to get rid of all those silly things...

My pet bird is getting his toe amputated today. Or at least I have a feeling that it is, considering the fact that it's dark reddish brown and shrivelled up and falling off the bird's foot.... it's actually my sister's bird. blue, with a yellow nose, he's a little parakeet. I don't like birds so I don't really care. I prefer reptiles, like my precious Beardy lizard and my turtle and the snake that I really want and will some day have...

Both of my sisters are away for the rest of the week on camping trips at their camps! And dad's away on buissness! Haha, I get the house to myself!! (with the exception of my mom -.-; )

I want a reptile, Snakes are soooo prettyfull.... We had birds once, zebra finches.. we think a draft came in and they all died :P ummm... 3 days yay! 2 for people who suck.... Umm, bored now...

Im not a big anime fan.. my dad is a semi-anime fan.. i think its too expensive for him to buy anything though... But we have random anime things.. like Princess Monanoke (sp?) really cool :P

There are a few reasons why I watched the YGO movie:
1. My brothers. (Well, that's two, but oh well.)
2. It came with a free card. (We were GOING to see it in theatres for my brother's b-day, but nooo, we had to wait til it came out on video cuz mom didn't want to sit through it. She still has teh scarring memories of the Pokemon movies. Which I liked.)
3. I like the way it's drawn. Sorry, but the new season, Orichalcos/Doom/Doma (which one is it?), has so many mistakes and the lines in the movie are so...clear. And THERE. Y'know what I mean?
4. I <STRIKE>was</STRIKE> am a Yu-Gi-Oh! obsessionist. I have around 20 sites bookmarked that are YGO related...one of them includes the WB forum. My favorite topic is "You know you're obsessed with YGO when..."
5. Well, there's only four reasons...

If anyone wants to know what I'm feeling right now, it's confused. I really, really am sad, and angry, and upset and gah. (If you want to know, see the second-to-last post on page 395 of the ToGR.) My dad's back, and I'm leaving (for around 5 hours) tomorrow. *cries*

Gah. I have to babysit tonight...for a baby and a 4 year old obsessed with Star Wars. I've never even seen any of the Star Wars movies, so it's a little hard to understand anything when he makes me play Star Wars Legos...anyway.

Mom said we might go get HBP at midnight, but I don't think it's a good idea. My sibs will come, and get all cranky and stuff...which won't make it as fun. Besides, they'll fall asleep before they finish the first page, whereas I will have stayed up all night and finished it...which will be funny to see how I act after getting no sleep...

I went bowling today and did horribly. I can't even remember what I got the first game, but on the second I got 88. Sad, I know. *sigh* A got 98 the second game. That was the highest score overall...

Uh.. ok then... well, hmm, maybe you should do a songfic that lets the reader decide whether it's yaoi (in this case it'd be shounen-ai) or not. I dunno. For the song...*Thinks very hard of songs*... is there a song on that YGO soundtrack you have that has anything to do with Bakura? See, the problem is, Bakura is a VERY very complex person. He's light, he's dark, he's calm, he's insane. I can help more after you find a song. I'll look for songs, but whether I find one or not... Ok, that was absolutely NO help. -.-;

I guess those are decent reasons to see a movie made by the dubbers. But I'm still more likely to watch the strange season 0 in Japanese (with subs!) rather than that dubber film. (And when I get my new laptop I WILL watch season 0, even if it's the same/similar to the manga) Don't MENTION the recent art in Doma saga *retches.* I couldn't tell whether it was the Pharaoh or Haga (Weevil Underwood)! >.< The art in the manga (well, not the first seven) is SOOO much better!! Bakura and Seto are SOO hot I'm gonna die! x.x

Are you a member of the silly YGO forum on the "official" site, or is another one? I am, it's so much fun to yell at the newbs and dubbies there! XP They're like so unbelievably unintelligent... Wait, you LIKED Pokemon movie??! I saw 5 minutes of it on TV and couldn't bare to watch any more. The art was HORRID. In the normal show it's slightly better, but... bleh, I don't like Pokemon. Except I DO like Team Rocket alot, though I hate the fact that they always lose.

...Bowling is so hard for me too. Even WITH bumpers! Once I played (it was in France) and I got like 73. That was pathetic! And all the French kids got like 140 or higher! That didn't boost my self esteem at all... oh well, success in life doesn't depend on bowling skills...

Thanks for the support, Kaiba. I went to his (mother's) house (he lives with my grandma, his mom) today, and I GUESS it went well. Not very well, but still...I didn't yell. That's good, right? Normally, I end up yelling my head off and screaming til my voice is hoarse. But he brought us back late. 1 1/2 hours late.

*Indignant* Okay, I admit that Pokemon isn't the best, but it's cute. And fun. I like it, although I haven't seen an episode in a looong time. The movies, while cheesy and not what I thought they would be, were okay. But I understand that people don't like it.

Yes it was a help. Now I'm reminded of Bakura's conflictions, and I've tried to find the right song for it on the YGO soundtrack. The problem is, I don't know the lyrics to most of the songs that would fit him. I'm thinking Step Up. Maybe Great Pretender, although...I don't know. If you have any songs at all that are kind of...his...then let me know. (I think the problem is that everyone else is IN the movie. He's not, I'm sorry to say. But they all have a song that's kind of their trademark except him.)

*cracks up* If any of you like Seto/Anzu (Tea) pairings (from YGO, of course) and humor, read some of DarkShadowFlame's stories. "If you ever hit your head on something and decide to get a girlfriend, get one as nice as her, okay?" *goes back to laughing*
