        • I'm in California. Believe me, it still gets old. There are times I plan trips to Minneapolis for my vacations. You forget to see things when you're used to them. The trick is not getting used to them. And knowing they're there.

Like my home town has a place where Kit Carson ate his mule, a carousel that still plays the brass ring game, the largest comic book convention in North America, the best zoo in the states, the smallest National Park, and it's where the Navy SEALs train, etc. etc. etc. If you can find out something about a place that engages your imagination, then it'll become a good travel spot.

You'd be surprised what you can learn about your hometown, if you look at it like a tourist.

          • Yeah I live in Huntsville it gets old. Like in 2nd 3rd and 4th grade we went to the US space and rocket center. So old. But last year we had a choice to go to Washington D.C. for a week. But that was a grade below mine I wish I could go to a state other than Coniticut, Mississippi, Tennesse, and Indiana.

Why do I have to keep telling people I'm OK? Oh, because they aren't sure I am... then why do I have to keep telling me??

            • Dude, at least your home town has some tangible history. The only buildings around San Diego that are older than 100 years are the missions, and the majority of buildings are all younger than 20 years. And I think the unclaimed baggage center would be a hoot!

It has a life cycle of 500 to 600 ears and after that amount of time, it sets itself on fire and dies in the flames. Then after three days, it rises again from the ashes. It is a completely benign creature who lives in dew. It is said that the phoenix has a beautiful melidous song which grows ever more mournful as its life comes to an end. It is a symbol of the sun and immortality. The phoenix is a very worthwhile beast.<br>

What! California is soooooo interesting. I had to do a 4 month state project on it. It seems real cool.

                    • When you have every other state pointing their fingers and laughing like loons at the fact that Arnold Schwarzanegger and Gary Coleman and Gallagher (Father Guido Sarducci apparently couldn't get enough signatures in time) are going to run for governor in a fiasco of a recall that's now being (we think) postponed/delayed/cancelled, trust me, state pride is NOT the first thing that leaps to mind.

But as I've said, any place gets old if you live there.

I can think of nothing right now
Have you ever wondered whats out there? have you ever looked? Will you ever imagine what actually is? Who knows if you do you might be the first to realize what actually is out there.

                          • Well. I guess that everyone thinks that their state is boring. My state tops em' all I think. There is NO history that's interesting we don't even have any super good athlete teams. We don't even have an official state "name".
