The Twilight books are AMAZING. I don't even like vampire novels, and these are some of my favorite books. They are funny, dramatic, action-filled, and romantic. eowyngirl, I didn't like vampire novels at all either. Then I picked up twilight because my sister was reading it and I was wondering why she liked it so much. Anyway, I fell in love with this series and I'm super excited for the movie as well.

I wouldn't go that far, but now that you mention it, his hair does look rather...odd. And un-hairlike. Alice looks exactly like I pictured her, though...and Robert Pattinson is going to be wonderful! I didn't really like him as Cedric, but I think he'll be great as a vampire. He looks really edgy.

OMW, Jasper's hair does look like a dead cat. For anyone who didn't know, the cast for the Cullens is up, as well as a few other people
(I think). I really don't think R.P. will be a good Edward,but I don't know, it might work out.
Anyway, I saw this thread when it first came out, and I'm like, what are these books? and then I just forgot about it, until about two weeks ago, when a friend of mine brought it into our school. Okay, LPMS is pretty close-knit, and we're great at spreading things (like what the extra credit to a test will be next period, or lots of crazy rumors) but we usually don;t read the same books, since not a lot of people read. Well, my friend brought the book to school, and all in all,about twenty of us have read them, and only three of us own the books, so we are REALLY lending them out (we literally have waiting lists for the books). I just makes me happy because my friends have gotten a bunch of people to read who usually don't read. It's cool.
Anyway,does anyone here actually like Jacob? All of my friends and I agree that he is just a pushy, obnoxious teenager, with very high hormone levels. My Mom (who I also got to read them)likes Jacob better than Edward though,(she feels bad for him) and it's kind of weird. What do you guys think? Who should Bella stick with, Jake or Ed?
I think Bella definately makes it clear that she loves Jacob but is not in love with him. That makes sense, right? Plus, she throws herself off a cliff when Edward is gone, just to hear his voice. A CLIFF!!! *takes deep breath, calms down*
I should probably try to find out tomorrow who has my books, 'cause they've been flying around school for the oast week. Gotsa go n finish my homework (4 projects!!!) and then maybe I'll be allowed to read somemore.(my parents took my books 'cause I read too much. Any of my friends' parents practically pay their kids to read, and I get in trouble for reading to much *sighs unhappily*Dai' happy reading

My parents react similar to my excessive reading. They won't take me to the book store anymore and I'm forced to reread my books, even though I would like to read new books. They have only taken one book away from me for short periods of time. I know how much it sucks to be in the middle of a good book and not be able to finish it. My friend and I talked about this just the other day - how we are being punished for our reading while most paretns would love for their kids to be reading.

I'm lucky-my dad reads....He doesn't like me reading too many things if it cuts into my studdying, but when my grades are up i can read as much as i want.

I seriously cannot wait for the movie or the new book to come out. I have a question. Does anyone have any idea if the movie is gonna be all three books, or just the first? It would be a really long movie if it was all three and kinda hard to do (or so I think), because of all the time that passes between the three books(+ Jacob changing and stuff). But if it's just the first, I don't know, I think it'd be better, right? I gotta go, but tell me what you guys think, or if it says it on her website, because my friends and I are dying to know. Dai' guys.

Ash: I think it's just going to be the first book. Because like you said, the movie is going to be way too long for all three.

I'm super excited for the movie to come out, I hope it will meet up to everyone's expectations of it. Because then New Moon and Eclipse will get to be made. If no one likes it I'll be super upset. Haha.

I think my parents are more upset about how much money I'm spending for my books that I read, then how much I read. I used to hate reading, but now I'm hooked. Hmmm...

Ash, I hate Jacob with a passion. He was waaay too eager to make Edward jealous in Eclipse. If he really cared that much about Bella, he wouldn't purposely make Edward jealous in front of her face. He aggravates me SO MUCH!

The truth of th ematter is, if he loves her enough he will let her go, because it will be what's best for her.
But you can't expect him to simply realize, immediately, that he is going to be forced to tear his own heart out in order to preserve hers. That's a tall order in the best of circumstances...He'll accept it in the end, and come back, and act like everything's normal for Bella's sake, but he's HURT, and he's going to be that way for a very long time.

I understand that he's being a jerk, but how would you feel, and what would you do if you found out that the love of your life loved someone else? Wouldn't you try to win them back, at any cost? Possibly even play dirty a little bit, before accepting that the only thing to do is to give in, and loose?

Also, if you're talking about being a jerk, remember what Edward did at the end. He made CERTAIN that Jakeup would be there when Bella made her decision, so that he would be hurt as much as possible.

If you hate one, for that, you have to hate both.


And they'll HOPEFULLY only do it one book at a time, because if they do all three they'll no doubt make a point of butchering the whole thing to match the time limit or something.
