  • Happy birthday to you too, then. :-)

Hey, Lee, how about a :cake: smiley?

    • Hey Tuatha, listen to "Birthday" by the Beatles if you haven't already. "You say it's your birthday, it's my birthday too yeah." Completely expresses my point. Happy Birthday! It's not so often I get to say that on my birthday.

Well, welcome! OMG, no one's done this yet? well then. Have your customary straightjacket and cookies! *hands them over* Have fun at the forums!

        • Hi I'm Bob. I've visited the forum before but never got around to posting on here (something I hope to rectify).
I love reading the Young Wizard stories (and other books by Diane). I also enjoy Diana Wynne Jones books, Tolkien (THe LOTRs trilogy) and practically any other Sci fi/ fantasy books.
I like to draw and paint, I write, read, love movies and walking my labrador Pol (short for Polgara. Any David Eddings fans out there?)

          • Hi Bob and welcome to the forums. Diana Wynne Jones is good As is Tolkien (and YW, of course). I get the Belgariad reference, although I can't actually recall if there has been any discussion of Eddings on the forums... You sound like you'll fit in here. I hope you enjoy your stay

Oh, and welcome to all the other new people out there. Have fun while you're here

            • Hi Bob! Welcome to the Forums of Insanity!

During your stay here, you shall learn to become just as crazy as the rest of us! I hope you fit right in! Most of us do...

So take this complimentary straightjacket, to contain your potential insanity! We all have them...just ask anyone... *hands over the straightjacket*

I like your avatar, by the way.

              • Welcome, Bob! Take some hot mulled cider to stay warm (if you live where it's cold, that is; if not, just put it in the fridge for a while ).

I like your avatar, too! That doggie looks so much like my Rex it's scary!

I thank you for the complimentary straitjacket also and look forward to joining in on the topics and typing with my nose (thanks to the lovely long sleeves being fastened at the back.)

                  • Welcome! *hands out straightjackets and virtual library cards* here you go! I may not always welcome everyone, but when I do look at this thread, I try to welcome everyone that has come since I last welcomed people. Sorry if that's a little confusing, but I am confusing...that's just the way I am. So welcome to everyone, and in case you are confuzzled by the straightjackets and library cards, everyone gets a straightjacket from more than one person, as we are all insane. As for the library cards, I just like to give out some of my personality too. Meaning, everyone on here likes to read, and I thought that library cards would reflect that well...Oh no, I'm blabbering on again. Sorry!

                      Diane Duane rocks!
                      Young Wizards rocks!
                      I rock.. uh, wait, nevermind.
To abhor violence, you must first abhor, which, in itself, is a violent act.

                          • Welcome to the forums, Isaac and Glede!

What are we supposed to be talking about? Well, it depends on what thread you're looking at. We have sections for each YW book for threads all about that book, we have a section for forum issues, and a section for random stuff.

Check out The Topic of Great Randomness, where you can talk about pretty much anything. You'll be able to get to know YW forum members there and get more comfortable with us, our insanity, and how the forum works.

Jelly beans are pretty addicting. Damn, I love those things. And Skittles...

Anyways... I'm at the end of the fifth book in the series and I don't want to read because I'm afraid for the mom but I want to read so I can know what happens and get to the sixth book.

                              My sister says it's sad.
