  • What is this world coming to that idiots can make up "spoilers" (or find them), post them so they can "spoil" everyone's fun of reading the book, then get attention from the press about it? My philosophy when it comes to spoilers: don't read them, don't hear them, just ignore stupid people that try to ruin your fun for their own enjoyment. *looks up at rant above* Okay, calming down now *breathes in.....out.....*

    • I understand go ahead and rant. I wonder why people try to do this anyway, you know to find out how the series will end. I mean we are all excited but even we know it is not that serious. I like that we all have fun on this topic guessing what's going to happen and how good or badly they're going to mess up the movie. I don't like when idiots like this guy tries to ruin it for everyone.

      • i don't know...maybe they're just trying to figure it out too, though in that case the word spoiler is rather misused....most like possible endings...*shrugs* maybe they just like the attention...or maybe they just want to joke around. *doesn't really know*
        I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

        • i know im comming in alittle late *streaches fingers*. so i am goinng back a few posts ok?

peevs should be in the movie. in a way he is an important character he plays a major plot to the book (if he didnt JK wouldent put him in). umm we sould watch im though i think that he might have been or might be the character who in his oun way help solve the mysterys of the horocrust (sorry for spelling)

and to the spoilers does this mean we dont have to white out the spoilers (not that i know how anyway)? hmmmmm....

spyells i like the new name its soo...ummm...i dunno but i think a good word for it is smart.

          • I don't think that Peeves will be the one to solve the mystery of the horcruxes. In fact I don't even consider him a major character. I've been rereading the series while you've been away. I am about to start on "The Half-Blood Prince." Peeves never jumped out at me as a major character.

Yes the title change now means that we don't have to white out spoilers. And it's simple to white out. Just look at the top of your tool bar in the dialoge response box (or whatever you want to call it) and click on the paint tray and type what you need to say in white.

Kli6 helped me think of a new name. I felt that the topic was in need of a name change. Seeing as we've all traveled so far from just the actual name of the book. Plus, I'm so excited about the new book, movie, and amusement park that is opening that I had to change it so the topic could become more broad so that we discussed everything that had to do with Harry Potter.

I have to admit now that I'm finally rereading the series it feels like reading a whole new series. It's been so long since I've read all of the books at one time. Usually when the next book comes out I just read that one and no other. This is not unusual because I do this for Young Wizards and just about any other series that I read. I don't have time to reread every series every time there is a new book coming out. I will consider making time if the book comes out over the summer. But seeing as every series that I love comes out during the school year it is not possible. Looking back at past posts I am now starting to understand all of the speculation better made on the upcoming Harry Potter book. I remember everything now.

Oh, just a thought if you guys ever wondered what a certain name meant in Harry Potter check this out: http://www.mugglenet.com/books/name_origins.shtml

I just finished "The Half-Blood Prince". You know I don't think Draco Malfoy is as bad as I thought. He was a butt no doubt, but he would've came to the good side if Snape hadn't showed up.

I'm going to see the movie this Friday. I'm so excited! The movie has been getting mixed reviews. Some people absolutely loved it others said it wasn't as good as the book. Well, I'm going to find out soon because I just reread the book last week. I can't wait until Friday.

                • I don't think Peeves will solve anything, not even a sudoku puzzle or something. He's dead, ad he loves messing things up, not making tham easier to understand.

                    • True, but that's beacause Peeves was allowed t run amok. He messed everything up, attacking students as well. He didn't do it to be nice.

"Anyway, back to the mysterious seventh volume we've been so avidly discussing: I have this weird theory (actually, I have two, and the other will be brought up in a little) that Harry will break one of the first (and few) rules of wizardry he has learned: The rule that states that the dead cannot be brought back to life. I know, I know, I'm barking mad...but since the magic of the HP world isn't very...consistent, shall we say, than is it really that impossible?

And my second theory is this: that Harry is the last Horcrux. No, I don't have a shrink. And stop throwing things, for pity's sake! *ducks* A lot of my friends, and most of the people I know, HP fans or not, have agreed that he will die in the last book. I bitterly resent that fact, but I am compelled to agree with it, especially since the birth of my twisted brainchild mentioned above--that Harry is indeed the last Horcrux."

But then, if Harry is the Horcrux, wouldn't he have to kill himself to kill Voldemort? I think so. Mybe he would be willing to sacrifice himself so that the world would be saved from Voldemort. My dad read a few articles online, and he says that JKR says there will be at least two deaths in the final book. Harry and Voldemort? Snape and someone else? Neither Harry or Voldemort? And do you think that Ginny will find a way of convincing Harry to let her come along? (Sorry if these ideas have been posted before, I have no time to read past posts at the moment.)

                          • I think that Harry and Co will find the horcruxes, destroy them, kill Voldemort, and live happily ever after. JK Rowling isn't exactly origional! And they are aimed at kids and teens, not adults. She wouldn't put kids through misery.

                            • hey KK i agree with you i acually have a theory

i think that dumbldore not really dead (before you kill me hear me out) i know they say he has to be but there are a few things that get tlo me
first: the killing curse that was used is instantly killed not flown across the room then hover for a sec.
seconed. malfoy was supposed to do the killing to be able to be a death eater. having snape do it just totally went against the innitiation i know that malfoy a=mother and snape made a deal but he could have talked (or threatened) malfoy into doing it.
third: why would snape (or whoever) throw dd out of the window to the grounds below doont you think its over kill and the fact that they killed him with the spell throwing him out the window was unnessasary.

now i know this is sounding corny but hear me out ok.

now i think that snape had acually used a differnt spell on dumblebore to fake his death and make it seem like he had died, that way when harry may needhis help in trying to get to voldemort dd canhelp him. now you can say that he is dead because of the fact that harry was released from the binding spell butif it was a trick then DD released harry himself, to stage his death.
its a long long walk to the end of the earth... but let me tell you if im walking to you then i'll walk farther than you would have dreamed possible.

                              • Wizy I disagree. When Snape made the unbreakable vow to Narcissa Malfoy (Draco's mother) He vowed that he would not only protect Draco but finish the task if he seem insuffecient enough. Here is the exerpt from the book for all of you doubters and haters out there.

Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince, Pg. 36-37

"She stepped forward so that she stood over them and placed the tip of her wand on their linked hands.
                                Narcissa spoke.
"Will you, Severus, watch over my son, Draco as he attempts to fulfill the dark lords wishes?"
                                "I will." Said Snape.
A thin tougne of brilliant flame issued from the wand and wound it's way around their hands like a red-hot wire.
"And will you, to the best of your ability, protect him from harm?"
                                "I will," Said Snape
A second tounge of flame shot from the wand and interlinked with the first, making a fine, glowing chain.
"And, should it prove necessary...and if it seems Draco will fail..." (Snape's hand twitch within hers, but he did not draw a way), "Will you carry out the deed that the dark lord has ordered Draco to perform?"
There was a moment of silence. Bellatrix watched, the wand upon their clasped hands, her eyes wide.
                                "I will," Said Snape
Bellatrix's astounded face glowed red in the blaze of a third tounge of flame, which shot from the wand twisted with the others, and bound itself thickly around their clasped hands, like a rope, like a fiery snake."
