  • September 10th bday? that's my baby cousin's bday - he turns 1 (yayness!! and awww how cute), and my best friend's younger brother's bday. mine is the 28th of August (3 days yay!!) and apparently only almost everybody has that bday. My dad's cousin, my best friend's mom (the same one who's brother has my cousin's bday. too many scary family connections. we're long lost sisters I swear), two boys from my cross country team, a boy from my cross country teams brother, another online friend, and my friend's cousin (and probably a whole lot more people).

Don't actually own the Louise Rennison books, checked them all out from the library, will buy them soon though once I have the money (aka, eventually in this lifetime hopefully)

RAIN!! woohoo!! I like it best when it's raining outside. It's really fun to swim in the rain (although.. unless there's lightning. heh.)

Albino corn snake=orange?? .... that's kinda odd. being albino I'd think it'd be white.

As for what I'm reading of the moment: The Hitchiker's Guide to The Galaxy by Douglas Adams (actually, it's a book with 6 from that series, so it's pretty massive. Very good so far though).

"I couldn't help but laugh at her complicated explination" - line 1, p. 52 of Point of Origin by Patricia Cornwell (?? *shrugs* we have loads of random books in this bookcase next to the computer that I've never read. ah well)

those new titles sound more interesting Ella. I don't particularly mind if they're changed or not, though it would be better to have some slightly more accessibly integers. like you become a member at 10, but then you have to wait for what is it... like 500 or 1000 to be upped to the next??

    • I have.. *scratches head* Um, about... eight cousins? That doesn't sound right, I'm sure I've got more than that... Jean's four, then Genevieve, Hamish, Josie, Glen's five, Andy's baby, Charlotte, Nicole and Hayden. Okay, that's way more than eight, that's sixteen, right?

And the line on the 52nd page of the nearest book is... "...suddenly you're going to live another few hours." From Guards, Guards.

And, Ella, I agree; they'd be fun!

      • ...My closest books are the Book of Questions and a French-English dictionary. But the book I'm reading right now is "Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi. It's a good book...

        • I like that too, Ella. I rode Bo today. He's a pain in the butt. Actually, in the hands. He jerks on the reigns. I was positive I'd fly out of the saddle he pulled so hard. *grumble and complain* He's a brat, but sweet when you're not riding him. He rubs his face on you. I nearly get knocked over.

          • Abby, yeah, most albino animals are white, but snakes are different, they're white, but have orange or yellow markings. They're purty.

I went to look into getting a snake today. THere was this beautiful albino burmese python. It was a little one though. I would have gotten that, but they grow to br HUGE and it was way too much. The snakes were expensive, so I need to find somewhere else that has snakes. I'm actually thinking of getting a bird, rather than a snake. (OH NO! My mom is home!!!!) Anywho, I saw an adorable cockatoo at the set shop. She was so sweet. My mom wanted to get her. We would have if it weren't for the fact that she was 1500 dollars. How evil.

My kittie's name is Tualha! She's on the dest right now, chewing on her tail. Silly kitty. Now she's on my shoulder. KITTY!!!!!!! Actually, she's my sister's kitty. OH WELL!!!!

I have 14 cousins. I finaly figured it out. Well 13 now. YAY!!!

            • I am reading this Dragonlance novel that feels way way too young for me. *groan* I've read everything good in the teens section of my library.

Julius is asleep in front of the computer screen. Cute kitty. Though I'm lucky the moniter isn't low. Awwww.

The first line on the 52nd page of the book closest to me? Ooh, City of the Bones by Martha Wells is right in front of me. The first sentence is She was watching him. There are also a lot of other books stacked within a foot of me. Book 4 of this Dragonlance seires (the too young for me ones). When she smiled at him, William felt the warmth of fine brandy run through him. Dragonlance book 2: He gnawed his lower lip and stared out into the distance. The Golden Compass: "If you're a servant, where do you work?" Black Mirror: Rapidly, feeling his eyes, his silence, I shed my coat and Daniel's scarf and reached down to tug off my wet boots. Back to the City of Bones bit. It's a really really good book, so I'm going to extend that excerpt.

Khat rolled his eyes."The problem with this conversation is that one of us is still pretending that this isn't anything but an unusual find that's going to make someone a small hoard of coin on the relic market, and someone else is pretending that the other one beleives this. Which one are you?"
Instead of answering, Ellen leaned forward and turned back the cloth on the relic. The lficker of firelight woke a hungdred jewel-like colors out of it. Beautiful, Khat thought, then realized he had spoken aloud. She was watching him. Eyes serious, she said, "I didn't know you would feel that way about it."
Khat rolled onto his back and stetched over to cover his confusion, suddenly feeling vurnerable and not sure why. He said dryly, "What a shock. It has feelings."

I don't know about the ranks. I think I like them how they are.

                • YAY! M's back!!!! *huggles M*

I'm bored. I hate the stupid people who decide which shows are gunna come on the TV at what times. I have to stay up until one in a morning to watch this one show I like. I did that last night. I decided to stay up as late as I could. I stayed up until one. I was too bored and there was nothing good on TV. I get kinda.....um...odd late at night. I played a game of go fish with the TV remote. It won. Then I played about five games of Solitaire. It was fun. Until I got tired of winning. Then I flipped through all the channels at least four times. I got bored so I went to bed. *yawn*

I got a spikey black bracelet and choker and a few black jelly bracelets yesterday. I figure since all my clothes are really preppy. (Pinkpinkpinkpinkredpinkbrownpinkbluepinkpinkpink. ) That if I wore goth jewelery it would even them out.
I also paint my nails black so that evens it out too I guess.

I went shopping for backpacks and other school supplies yesteraday. I love getting school supplies. Dunno why. *shrug* The first store I went into loocking for backpacks was... eesh. You'd think the only colors girls liked were pink and purple. And I LOATHE pink and purple. I ABHOR them!!!!!!!!!!!!! RAH RAH RAH!!!!!!!!! Then I found this store with only five pink backpacks. I got a green one from them.

*huggles M* You keep on going away, and I never get to talk to you...

We only get to have Skittles and Julius one more day. *sniffles* They're such sweet kitties. Skittles loves to be held, and he loves to play. Julius is a mini purball with a big meow. I'll miss them. Sammy will miss Julius, poor doggy. He loves that cat.

Hey, Gryph: if you've exhausted the teen section of your library, you don't have to go to kids; you can go to adults. There's plenty of good books published for adults that teens can enjoy. Try Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris! I finished it, and it is soooo funny. No I'm on to Persepolis, which is a graphic novel/memoir sort of thing. I like!

Aha! *cackles* It is Amy Lee! (That song Broken.) I knew it! I knew it! Which reminds me, my friend in Ohio better burn my Evanescence CD and send it back quick, because I'm starting to fade away. Without Linkin Park I think I'd be gone.

                              • Gryphon... yeah.. I am serious... family is a huge thing in our family. *uggh* The only bad thing is that you can't choose your relatives. Yeah... but I like a lot of them and they were lots of fun while I was growin up... now, we hardly see each other... that would require traveling and I happen to be much happier on the computer than traveling.

Snakes... *shiver* Yuck! Worms don't bother me, but they don't have fangs either. I don't do the fanged animals.

I LOVE THE RAIN! Rain is good... waters my plants for me... is soothing... smells so good... but it is wet. Being wet isn't good when the rain is cold. Here in Arizona, the rain is warm in the summer... very cool!

Hey Ella... that is a great idea! I think that DD and Lee might just go for the name change... Coolness... *nods head* Journeyman... much better than member... *sigh*

52nd page.. first line of the book closest to me... hard to know.. I have about 7 books about the same distance from me. (packed around the computer monitor... )

Anyhows... choosing the book I just finished... Confessions of Georgie Nicolson by Louise Rennison.

'I'd just got back upstairs to my bed of pain when the phone rang again.' (Not particularly great.. so I'll add the next line too!) 'Why can't we have a portable fandango thing, or alternatively, a servant called Juan who answers it?'

And M... what is wrong with Pink? (Accepts the fact that I hated pink when a teenager too... but I have changed.. and pink is good!) I have a particularly pretty Pink sweater that I like to wear in the winters here.
