I wouldn't mind volunteering at our library. I don't think they have a volunteer program, though. I might ask... otherwise, I'm probably not doing anything for the summer.
How 'bout a summer reading program? If they have one of those, then you can volunteer to be the person who hands everything out to the little kids. As I said in an earlier post (I think) I know someone who was a volunteer for 3 years, and when she turned 16 she got a job there. And it's not like it's hard work, either. I'M a volunteer, for more than six months now. It can't be too hard.

I've felt so special all week. I earned a solo (which turned into a duet; he couldn't decide who was better) in chorus AGAIN. I'm like, one of five people who tries out every time. So I'm almost guarenteed to get the part. Plus, we got our unofficial SOL scores back. (SOL=Virginia Stanards Of Learning, our standardized test.) I got a 93%, which is very high compared to most people, on the math. (Unfortunately, I NEED a 94 or higher to get an A, and I NEED an A, because my grade's down at a B and this is a major test grade.) But best of all, I got a PERFECT 100% on the 7th grade Science SOL, one of four people on my team! (team=one eighth of the school, one fourth of 7th grade, organized so if you have one teacher on the team, you'll have all of them. Makes life simpler.) A 100! I haven't done that well since 4th grade! (I got a perfect 600 on the real social studies SOL because my teacher gave me notecards that I color-coded and memorized. Now I'm too lazy for that.) Yes! Plus, on the (ungraded) 8th grade Science SOL, I got an 80%! The highest anyone got was 84, so that's really good.

Went to the bookstore today. Bought Among the Enemy, Charlie Bone and the Castle of Mirrors, and Shaman King #3. Also recieved my book order from Barnes & Noble.com in the mail today, which was Chanters of Tremaris #2- the Waterless Sea, and Uglies.

*sigh* Must go, for my sibs are yelling at me to come watch Star Wars Ep. 1.

Oooh yes! Poool tomorrow! Yay! I got an awesome new bathing suit. It's probably the "coolest" piece of clothing I own. (Three pieces, actually. I got a two-piece suit and an extra top.) It's neon green and bright! And flowery! I love it!

Oh well. *is ignoring family* Can I pwease have the Star Wars avie? I wuv it!

I have three projects due in the next two weeks. Ick. I went up to my english teacher and asked for an extension, and she was like "I gave you a month already! How much longer do you need?" Then she talked to the other teachers, and she's only giving me and two other girls an extension, because we're special.

• Hello all! How are we?

So, yeah. I went over to Angel's house on uh..Wednesday? Yeah.

So, yeah. We talked to Z (*coughAngelhehhehcough*) online, and then we called his cellphone, and he three-wayed Andy with us. Yup.

Next morning. We went to the movies with the twins, Z (*coughAngelhehhehcough*), and Andy. We saw Episode III. We were all sad that Jar-Jar didn't die. heh heh.

So, J randomly called me on Z's phone, so then I called Z back and wa like, "What the halibut?" That's okay though.

Yesterday. I went to A's house. My cousin M was there with her dog Winifred/'Poop.' So was M's friend Aly and her dog Cami. And A and mine's friend, Matt. We made some movies. Interesting at that. We had this thing with taping M in a box and then throwing it off a balcony and hitting it with yard tools and dragging it behind a bicycle and dousing it with water and closing garage doors on it and shoving it in freezers and in the end, A pops out! Yay! Then we had random documentary with Matt, A, and myself. We had a Cops-ish thing. And we randomly walked around the neighborhood then walked over to M's house.

Oh, and M randomly called Z's cell and was like 'YOU FREAKY STALKER!'
I called him back and was all like...uh...sorry. Then Matt talked to him and then he talked to G. So, yeah.

Fwee! I'm bored..maybe someone will call me.

I'm watching South Park and I keep forgetting to skip past the commercial because my Dad taped it. Only taco-flavoured kisses for my Ben..

Today's song is always on on one of the commercials that I always forget to skip. I like it...

• Wow. THat was really long and random. It fits well here, but I didn't understand most of it. That's ok.
I'm not really looking forward to volunteering becuase I think all I'll be able to do is shelve books and stuff like that, and while it was fun when I was doing it in the school library with a friend, that was with someone to talk to. Now I'll be all alone. *Cries*
Does anyone here know the song about the llamas, and the half a llama? I can't remember much of it, but it's really funny.

• I read "Taming the Star Runner" by SE Hinton. My brother had brought home a library copy because him and BW were doing a book share on it for school. He said it was great. I loved it. And then, from a room over, mom shouted that The Outsiders was on TV, so the three of us (BW, T, me) crowded in front of the TV and then started laughing out guts out. It was the end, and the movie was really bad... The book was amazing. Then mom ran in and said, "no, no, don't watch it; it's the end." To which we replied it didn't matter; all of us had read the book. (Who hasn't? You're missing out if you haven't.) In the back of Taming the Star Runner, it mentioned that it was written when the author was _16_.

When bro and BW worked on the computer for their project, BW lingered around my desk and commented on all of the CDs I had. ("LOTR... uck. Evanescence... ehh. Papa Roach... BLAHHH.") And then he told me to get Iron Maiden and Metallica. XD I think I have enough metal for now.

Yeah, I remember the llama song. "Kiss a llama on a llama llama llama duck."

A day. Another day. Another day. A day, a day, a day, an exam. A day. Another day. An exam. An exam. Another exam. And then... no school. No school! No school. Hmm. I want a job. Heck, I'd do volunteer work too. I think I might start to get really bored. Ought to think of something to do with VGDawn's layout.

We went on a long walk through some park today with the dog. There were tadpoles and fish. And a few butterflies. I saw the white kind and about three of the black (or possibly it was the same guy, just several times), and then, when we were on our way home... a Mr. Buggles! Complete with the cute fish look and a fan of a tail tilting up in the back. It looked like a very awkward bumble bee with its yellow and black fuzz. The tadpoles were all together in a shallow pool of water. T and I tried to see how many we could pick up at once -- cool little things. I have a lot of photos and a couple of movies of the drive home through pretty areas. I might put some of the photos online eventually.

I don't get to go to taiko tomorrow because it's Memorial Day. Boo hiss, I could care less if it's a national holiday, I want my taiko. • Heh. In chat, we were making a list of things to do to Chime when it's not working. It got kind of violent. No wonder it hates us... (it kicked me out, too, not long after, but the forums had died too, so it wasn't the only thing dying.)

Lisa:

I think they do have a summer reading program, but it was on the "teen" (AKA entirely too brightly colored) section of the library site, so it'd be more like me doing the reading program than volunteering for it. The program is supposed to encourage you to read by setting goals, like reading for a half hour each day. *no comment*

Kaiba:
I would do a haiku in French or sum other languages that I know a few words in, but I won't, because I forgot how to do a haiku...
Five syllables on the first line, seven on the second, and five again on the third. Haikuing (I think haiku is another one of those words you can't verb) is fun. (So is verbing.)

• I saw the Revenge of the Sith last night. It was okay, I guess. Nothing really happened. 'Cept for a lot of guys died and the kid went weird. None of that matters if something wasn't resolved. And I was kinda hoping for a lot more explosions. XD

Yesterday I got burned. Just a little. I sat outside and read, then went with my mom to get plants. I got a lot of marigolds and these weird plants with orange flowers (Mom: "I guess you like orange a lot..."). Mom got some of the patients/ impatients, whatever they're called. I don't like them; they look sickly. :/ Marigolds can survive any. Last year, my marigolds grew into towering stalks, and I don't know how that happened. Anyway, I think from now on, I'd rather plant seeds than half ground things. It was a pain to break them a part and dig up termite-infested dirt. I kept on finding these giant, long termites. Guhh. All of those that I found, I tossed into the black box that the marigolds came in. I beleive they were the males; they'd be bigger than the workers, right? And there's only one queen (I think) with the termites. Anything to hurt the termite population... but then I'm not going to rot or poison their part of the garden; I'd rather they didn't move to the house. Then I nearly fell asleep on my front yard listening to Slipknot.

BW came over later. Him and my bro (T) worked on their book share for language arts. They had to do some project based off Taming the Star Runner. Because I had read the book also (only a few days ago), I helped with ideas. At first, it was a comic, then a powerpoint, but what we decided to do in the end was a skit based off a scene in the book. Travis kills a snake and Casey comments that he's brave. But, umm... it was really exaggerated. And I was doing the camera, so my brother did Casey. XD Casey was _not_ a girly-girl type, but, umm... we had fun dressing up my brother. I found my skirt (my one and only! I don't know if it'll fit me -- I wore it to the end of the year dance last school year), but in the end, my brother got my mom's and one of her shirts. My mom's skirt was pink; mine was black. XD I couldn't find _anything_ that I had that was pink, and I only had one purple: one of my uniforms (I feel guilty that I never wear it, but mom *made* me get it...) Then we put up his hair in a purple scrunchi. Not all of it was long enough, but it passed. Then high heels, lipstick, blush, and eye shadow. Oh, and "padding". After it was done, we took a few pictures, one of which T had let a bit of the tissue paper hang out of his sleeve.

The movie itself was hilarious. Then they did "outtakes". I was laughing my guts out... T is putting together a video of all of it in some program.

Cress: *snort*

CIRCLE!!! AYAYA

It's a nice day. I'm going to force myself to sit outside and write later... or other RPers will kill me for not replying. XD

Oh, more star wars! Don't read unless you've seen it: The General Greivous was the coolest baddy ever!!! Lesse... Cylinder with a half-sphere on his head was awesome. I didn't like the girl, but whatever.

Ah ha, I started laughing when Gryph said she dressed up her little brother. I kind of did the same thing for a school project for Music Studies, we had to pick a celebrity and dress up as them and do interviews and performances. Most people picked people like Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, The Beetles, and other bands they could make fun of. We did JLO, and I had to dress up as her. We dressed up my friend as a rapper with a basketball jersey, big jeans, big medallions, a doo (do?) rag, everything. It was so funny because she really did look like a boy.

There's a part in a Billy Joel song with a line in French, and it's my favorite line in the entire song, just because it's so fun to say. One of my friends has a list of a whole bunch of words that are fun to say as part of her bio on fanfiction.net. If you want to check it out her name is culumacilinte. I think that's how you spell it. Anyway, it's pretty funny.
You know what's a really good song? Bohemian Like You. I don't know why, but I'm starting to really like it. Everybody must go listen to it now. Don't ask me who it's by, I have no idea. I could go look, but I'm too lazy to get up and check the CD case.
Speaking of fun words, an uber cool one is Monaboyd. Or Eldonk. Plus the word poofter, but it's not a nice thing to say. I used to like to say it until I found out what it meant, and then I felt really bad because I had called people that and I had no idea what it meant. But it's just so dang fun to say.
