  • Gryph: I don't have my Algebra with me today. For once, we didn't have homework.

I have to do this project for ICP. We (my partner and I) have to make a car and get it to move at least 15 ft. It has to be self-propelled. *sigh* I'm no good at coming up with such things.

I did something to my knee. It hurts to walk.

Ahh... What is this song? *checks Yahoo* Laid a Highway? Okay... I don't like it.

*wanders off to see if she can find anything about self-propelled vehicles*

The realities are described, but recognising them is like one of those puzzles where you get a close-up photo and have to work out what the object is.

That's why I didn't manage to identify them all - either I haven't read all the books Kit has, or I don't recognise them from the details given.

p236 of the paperback Dilemma has
"... a fleet of huge-sailed ships that came riding up out of a terrible storm and with difficulty made landfall by that strange new shore."
"As the last of the strangers came up out of the sea, and into their new home, bearing their black banner with its single white tree..."

      • My mom is singing a song about how she can tell that I was in the bathroom and how she shouldn't be able to tell. (I never put stuff away) And now she's singing, "I'll shut the door, I put stuff in here, I'll put the cap on the toothpaste. Was that so hard? THAT WASN'T HARD TO DO AT ALL!!!"

My history book is open on my desk. I have pages to read, and questions and notes to study off of. There are also notecards of this unit's vocab words... so much. RAHHH!!

*sigh* I know how you feel, Gryph, on both accounts. Homework is evil. Singing mothers are evil. Especially when they're like mine and they sing in parking lots. My mom also doesn't like it when we don't clean up. She always guesses what my older brother made for lunch. Because it's still out on the counter.

I chose my VGDawn name! For those of you who weren't in chat earlier, it's Kiyre Firejade. (Of course, I need to chose everything else about her.)

          • Excuse me, singing mothers are uber cool. Or at least my singing mother is, because that usually means that I'm singing too, very loudly and off key.
Hey, hey, everybody check out my fanfic profile! I'm at fanfiction.net and my penname is Nenfea. My story is really random. It's kind of like TOGR except with characters and an eensy bit of plot.

            • Oooooh Cress, speaking of ff.net, I'm in the process of writing a story about...Young Wizards! But not just any young wizards...you might know some of these people. *laughing evilly* Haha! I just put it up! *laughs evilly some more* Heh, this is fun.

I reviewed your story! I don't have time now to read all 32 chapters, so I reviewed chapter two!

I wasn't trying to be really mean to singing moms. I'm jsut saying...when your mother starts singing loudly in the middle of a parking lot, you get a lot of weird stares. Especially when you're singing along...

Gah. This is like the fifth time I've edited this post. But anyway: If any of you have an objection to the story, in any way at all, just let me know and I'll fix it. Like, if you don't want you name in it, or even if you want me to take it down, I'll do it. But only if there's good reason. Don't just say you want me to get rid of the fic 'cause you don't like fanfiction.

It's the button in the Chime chat window that moderators see, that is labelled "Kick User".

You pick someone (preferably someone who is misbehaving) and select their name, then click the button.
                They promptly leave chat.

Other people in chat copy your reaction and paste it into TOGR, and start mocking you.
You make a note of their names and glower at them in Chime. They make nice.

                • Welcome to all the new members. Wow, I think I've figured out about how the influxes come - with the holidays! anyway...

I have decided I hate public transport. Its so BORING, and yeah... I kinda want to live in, but mum and dad don't like the idea...

                  Carl mentioned in another topic:
I read the 5th Harry Potter book in 12 hours
12, thats a pretty good feat, but you'll find that most of us here are really fast readers. I finished HP5 in 7 or so hours, and PM did too, I think... we were discussing it in chat a couple of days ago, but yeah... sometimes its better if you take it a little slower and actually take the time to enjoy the story. I've read things fast and its much much better if you read them slowly.

                  *falls asleep on the keyboard*

I guess I'd better go... I need sleep ... I'll be around tomorrow morning (my time)

                  • Hey guys! I am due for a long post. I had spring break last week, and it went surprisinly well My dad picked me up on the...4th? It was a thursday. We stuck around here for the day and went shopping and we saw Aliens of the Deep in the IMAX and also went bowling. On Friday morning we drove down to my house, but my mom was being stupid that day so I went to stay with my sis that weekend. Her apartment is really nice. I LOVE her bed (it's the memory foam kind, and she had a queen size so I could fit in it too) but she has too many covers and it gets so hot in there! Anyway, I watched a lot of stuff while I was visiting her. I went to my mom's house on Sunday after church. I got a lot of sleep that week, hehe. My mom and younger sis don't have Spring break until next week so while I was home they were at school most of the time (my mom works at the high school). GIDGET IS SOOOO ADORABLE. As usual, she seemed really tiny when I saw her again. Chihuahuas are cute I think I mentioned before that I got Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for XBox. I played it a bit, but it's kinda weird. I still like Jedi Outcast so much better. My uncle sent me an ethernet adapter so I can have internet on my laptop, but I can't get it to work yet... I can't really work on it until I go home for Easter break. My b-day is in...10 days!! YAYAY Oh and M, I saw something in the comment box about a b-day. If it is your b-day, then HAPPY B-DAY!!! *tackles* Anyway...um I forgot what I was going to say. Hehe. I like talking to Sharky on the phone. (don't talk about that dang cow anymore, it creeps me out!) There is this stuffed cow in the middle room in my mom's house and it scares me. I used to like it until one day something fell over in the middle room, twice. It reminds me of the deja vu in the matrix...I heard something fall, and then the next second I looked over and SAW it fall...it was sooo weird. Kelly was with me at the time. We looked across the room and that dang cow's arm was sticking out, pointing where the thing that fell had been sitting! We freaked out and were trying to tell my mom what happened, but for about 5 minutes all we could manage was gibberish. Now that cow's arm is back down, but everytime I go into that room to call someone at night that cow freaks me out. I was talking to Sharky while in that room the other day, and he kept saying that the cow moved or something. It freaked me out b/c the room was dark and I could only see the outline of the cow, and it DID seem to move, just a little bit...
*yawn* I have to go to Health class in a few minutes. It's my only class today. Afterward I need to pick up my paycheck, then I'll read a bit then take a nap then go to lunch. After all that I need to do some homework. Tonight there is a showing of the Fight Club movie. I've been wanting to see that movie, and now I can get convo credit for watching it

                    *huggles all*

In this YW chat room, it's probably the first time - I doubt DD or Lee kicked anyone, and Kathy hasn't.

We'd need a good reason to kick someone, anyway, we just wanted to test it before we had a reason.

Trust me guys, it ain't pretty. You don't wanna see it. So far, most of my posts there start with "AUGUGUGUGUGUHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Why can't I...?" or "I was SooooooOOOOooo stupid..." and Lee's pretty consistently start with "[headclutch]". While PM just makes fun of us and continues pushing all the buttons...

You don't wanna be there. Really.

                          • They've found anthrax in mail rooms. I haven't heard anything about anthrax since... 9/11. Wow.

I hope they found all of it. Can you imagine how devastating that would be?

*nods* *nods furiously* AHHH!! S'my mom!

Last night karate was really fun (as always). I did kata and kata and more kata, and nearly died I was working so hard. Then we did... sorta line drills. It was more like, "Go across the mat doing all of your strikes, strikes and deep stances, blocks, blocks and stances." And then he said to do yukime. I stood there, thinking, "what's yukime?" until C dropped into a roll and next to her, D did a breakfall. Gah... I'm not good at rolls. At all. Especially the continuous, alternating ones that the upper belts can do. I'm okay with some of the other breakfalls, but not all.

Lisa, we have another member fanfic! I love member fanfics. Have you seen Sharky's? I've also done one, but some of the members in mine don't visit like they used to.

In Chem today, I was working with... I'll call her WL. We were doing a lab together with two boys sitting on the opposite side of the table. One thought it was funny to give us nicknames.

She's weight lift, and I'm toothpick. XD WL does gymnastics.

Partially. It's mostly, me: "Could you try this to get Eve to do that?" Lee: "Sure." (does what I ask.) Me: "It's still not working! Maybe try this..." about three times or so, and *then* Lee goes: "[headclutch headclutch headclutch]" etc. etc.

                              • Well, hopefully the headclutching and "ahhh I don't know how to do this" get better after a few weeks, once you and PM figure out how things work. ^^ Then there'll be less head clutching all around.

Happy Birthday, M!!!! ^^ Happy birthday, now you're one year older, happy birthday, I don't remember the rest of the song. . . ^^

Really, why do we care how fast we read a book? I read at the pace I read at. I don't MEASURE how fast I read a book. When I'm reading a book, I sit back and relax and I finish it when I finish it, I don't TIME myself.
