      My closest book is Goddess by Mistake by P.C. Cast.

      Well, I'd better think about it now.
      It's a little heavy on the sex and gore, but it's a good book. And, of course, it's science fiction.

      SCIENCE FICTION RULES!!!!

      Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.
      I will rejoice in the moonlight;
      I will dance in the rivers of my tears;
      For I am joyously, wonderfully alive!

        crookedfrog13: Hexwood by Diana Wynne Jones happens to be the closest book to me now; it's one of my favorites.

              I told you I like Hexwood. I must admit that it took three re-readings for me to fully understand it, though. Sometimes I get the feeling that Diana W. Jones either writes for adults or thinks that we teens are geniuses.

                  Surprisingly enough, DWJ actually thinks that children are far more attentive and involved readers than adults are --in fact, she actually makes a point of 'writing down' to adults! She expounds upon these points (and others concerning the various supposed freedoms [and what she feels turn out to be actual limitations] concerning writing for adults [as opposed to writing for children]) in this very interesting article.

                                Well not ALWAYS, Birdhead. Remember that observation that WAW might be the last book? We were both wrong on that one. Sorry; I couldn't resist.
