GRRR to Bush. He's such a butthead without brains. Okay, I have a lot of things against him, starting with the phrase 'Separation of Church and State." I mean, C'mon! Leave God out of all this. I won't even go into that. Then there's the immigrant stuff and the amendment... There was this companay with a HUGE problem as far as polluting. Bush didn't care. Well, not really. He cheated over Florida- his brother passed laws making it so that a lot of the people there couldn't vote, and you know, Florida's mainly Democratic... so yeah.

I completely agree. That amendment should not go through. It's discriminatory, and I don't see why a secular country ought to be governed by Christian laws. Many of the amendment's supporters say that allowing gay marriages was destroying a institution that existed long before any government, the institution of marriage- But things shouldn't stay a certain way just because it has always been that way.

If that were the case, slavery would still be in effect, and interracial marriages would be forbidden.

Okay, kli, what you said about the money? True AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN. Hello, what exactly is with diems anyway????? *hopelessly confused* As for the colour of the money- erm, suffice it to say that before I came on here I'd jsut bought dinner at a pizza place, and then spent about a year counting out dimes, nickels, and PENNIES.
Pennies are a really problem.
But we'd also nearly overpaid our meal.... BY ABOUT A HUNDRED DOLLARS. >.<

But apart from that... it's fun here. This may be influenced by the fact thaty I flew from WNGTN to AKL, (2 hrs) AKL to LAX (16 hrs, I think... we crossed the dateline somewhere there...), then had a stopover in LAX (six hours) then flew LAX to JFK (six hours, maybe?) and did all that WITHOUT ANY SLEEP, meaning I got to NYC the day after I left at 5 in the morning NY time, having gained a day.

Translation: three days, no sleep yet (it's now the evening of that day) Nearly time for me to say farewell.

As for meeting Dave, it was mostly conducted by email, and then by comments in our blogs- if you followed them you had a good idea, like Aurie. Sonme stuff was e-mail though becasue it's slightly more secure, others chat.

*yawns* I'm absolutely shatttered, and I'm jetlagged and I'm a day behind or ahead. Good night.
