i tried to take the oath, and then the next day we left for ... maine...i think... yeah, maine, and when i realized that my book hadn't turned into the manual, i threw it out the car window.::GASP:: i still shudder to think that i hurt a book, but anyway, i digrees: so about 5 minutes later i realized what i had done and made my parents drive back 5 miles and we spent an hour looking for it. but we did eventually find it. but does any one know where SYWTBAW has gone now? it disappeared from my bookshelf some time ago- if i loandes it to you (or TWD, or Heart's blood, or calling on dragons) please give it back, i am at my wit's end here!!!! aack!!!!! ::falls over from aaaaaaarrrrgh

If one is a TRUE book lover, one cannot have a favorite book. It would be an insult to all the other books you have read and loved.

      Funny thing I have done..
Last Christmas I forced my brother to start reading the Young Wizards books. He really got into them, and he took SYWTBAW along with him for christmas. I was awakened Christmas Eve's night, hearing him READING the oath allowed! My brother is not one to believe in those kind of things, so I was truly freaked out!

                Yeah, I read it too...
I have often wondered if it worked.
I felt kind of guilty afterward, because I had stumbled over my tounge and messed some words up.
I couldn't decide whether to do it again, because I wasn't sure whether you had to say it perfectly or not.

"Fools" said I,"You do not know.
                Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you."
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
                And echoed
                In the wells of silence.
