oh! I forgot to mention this, and illiriam reminded me...SB...check at your local public library, they might have Mango set up. Mango is this online language learning course that you can take. I think it normally costs some money, but if you do it through the library you can do it for free!!

On a similar yet completely unrelated topic:

(I skipped my 'Intro to Language class in school and went straight to German I) I have a German test tomorrow, some math homework, a science question for, well, science...duh, a quiz in Home Ec. on Friday, an English paper due on Thursday, an art assignment due on Friday,and a Soc. Stud. article to write! Oh, I don't have any study halls, and I volunteer at the library tomorrow!!!

I'm in the middle of trying to write a final paper for my Renaissance History class tomorrow, but guess what? I'm studying abroad in Scotland in the fall! I got accepted to my program today, and my adviser's already okayed it...so now my passport just has to get here and I have to do about a bajillion things before September. I'm a little nervous...I've never been on a plane for longer than an hour before, and I've never done any real traveling, even within the US. But still. It will be amazing!

I don't even own a suitcase. Oh well, worry about it later when I actually have time to; besides this final paper, I have finals starting on Monday. It's hard to believe I'm almost halfway done with college.

Good luck to everyone still finishing up school. I hope you get through your assignments on time and do well on them. I finished AWOM today, and I have to say, "Dannnnnnnng". It was awesome. Just a general comment: Nita can be TOUGH. You see it all throughout the series, and I'm glad for it. It's good to have tough female leads: they're a good role model. Damsels in distress aren't nearly as interesting.

And I totally remember Ecce Romani. I still have my Volume 2 of it. However, I did not get along with Latin, and I blame my teacher for destroying my desire to learn the language. Gosh, what ere those kids names?
Isn't it funny how the Romans just started naming their kids numbers after a while? Prima, Secundo, Septima. It amused me.


Oh, I finished both papers. One is 6 pages, and the other is ten. I don't understand how the level of difficulty increases exponentially just by adding 4 pages. Huh, well maybe it was the subject matter.
But what I am really proud of is not that I finished my term paper worth 1/4 of my grade.
I'm excited because i finally finished editing my novel and I submitted it to receive the free proof copy that I got when I finished NaNoWriMo. Woot woot. It should arrive sometime in May.

*nods* With me it was scratching myself up with pins and needles, just enough that I didn't leave permanent marks, and holding my hands in hot water for ages. Thank goodness, I don't SI any longer. Mostly because I have a chronic pain condition that nothing can distract from that much.

Crazy_bookworm and kk: i missed everyone here.

It's week 10 at my college, meaning i have this week and then finals week left here. I can't believe I'm almost done with my first year at COLLEGE. This was THE fastest year ever. I am kind of excited to leave, but also I'm a little sad because it's like I'm leaving my second family. I love the friends I've made here and I will miss them terribly.

kk: *high five* to us for not reading AWoM yet.

crazy_bookworm: it's been freezing cold here, too, these past few days. I'm a little upset by it, since it is almost summertime. :\ I don't like to hear about this SI thing... I've watched it happen to my older sister and it can really do some damage to yourself. Please rethink about your choices.

seabiscuit: okay, took me like ten times to write your name right.... I'm used to calling you Hungry... CONGRATS on the Scotland thingy!! I can't wait until I can start applying for Study Abroad. I hope you have a lot of fun next fall! and You're almost halfway done with college! That's crazy! Doesn't it feel like just yesterday you were in high school?

I have to say.... I've just gotten happier than usual and it saddens me that I have to meet someone so close to summer. *sigh* I just hope the feelings stay when we come back.

On another note, I have found a new TV show I love: Bones. I started the first season on Thursday after seeing the new episode from the fifth season on Wednesday to check it out, finished the first season tonight, and I love it. (Dang, that's a convoluted sentence. Someone tell me if they can understand it and if not, I'll try and fix it.) It's so amazing how Dr Brennan can figure out how a person died just by looking at their bones. It's made me slightly interested in anthropology, but I don't know if I would be able to take courses in it in the coming years of uni. I already think I have my arts options picked, but anthropology could be done as an extra class during summer school...

The snow has melted, yay! The snow only lasted two or three days, but it was still annoying.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

I just auditioned for a role in Sound of Music, and I (sorta) got the part!!!!! Actually, I'm only the understudy, but I still get to perform one night!! I'm playing Louisa, the third oldest child, second oldest girl. I am super-excited about it!

On a gloomier note-it was SNOWING!!!!! What is wrong with the world when it's snowing in MAY?!?!?!?!?! WHY?!? we're having a perfectly lovely mother's day, and then it has to go and SNOW!!!!!

Well, now that I've gotten that out of my system...I've got today off from school, which is nice, and then on Wed. we have Rewards Day, which is the day when all the people that haven't gotten suspended or gotten formal detentions get to go swimming, as well as eat all kinds of snacks and such! yay!

Last Tuesday, all the Enrichment kids (thats me) got to go on a super cool "field trip" to the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh! The science Center is AMAZING,and the the Sports Center is even better! They have a roller coaster stimulator, and all kinds of cool stuff. And on the 2 hour ride back to school, I got to watch my English teacher play games on his AMAZING iPad!!! It automatically made me think of Darryl and his WizPod. The WizPad would be even cooler, though...

Well...sorry for blabbering...I just haven't had time to actually POST anything here for a while...I was just lurking...

Welcome back, bookworms! As for the snow, it's normal for where I live to get snow up to the third week of May, I think. Yes, snow IS irritating when it's not winter, I agree.

Well I'm glad to know that I am not the only one who has been lurking. It's been pretty crazy around here, and I have not had much time to do anything that is not school work or best-friend related (she is back from school and we have been hitting all the used book stores. I'm keeping an eye out for a manual like Kit found.) P;us, my mom's tire fell off her car while she was driving the other day, so we have all been sharing our cars and driving around.

Fun news: I GOT MY BOOK. My book. It is pretty and bound and shiny and pretty and shiny.... I'm excited. It actually came only a few days after I ordered it, so props to CreateSpace for good service. I'll post a picture of my pretty cover eventually.

Oh, yeah, and what IS up with this cold-ness in May? It frosted here, and we had to cover all of my mom's herbs and flowers so they didn't die. No snow, but still.\

I loove Bones. The show is addicting. I have seasons 1, 2, and 3 on dvd (got them at target on sale). I haven't read the books, but I have one that I will start one as soon as I get a chance (aka when sociology is not sucking my life away).

And Congrats 96bookworms! I've have never seen it as a play, but I love the movie. And I have the parts from The Pacifier stuck in my head. Which are amusing. I'm sure you'll be great. Break a leg (I do mean figuratively, in the show sense, not in the real world sense.) I never understood this phrase.

Now, I am off to go study the works of Karl Marx and Max Weber. Oh joy.
