kk, how about coming here to CT, where it was SNOWING on Thursday night? It didn't amount to anything, but it was a mix of small snowflakes and rain. Today, it's a nice Fall day, sunny, 45 degrees, still a little wet from the snow.

Powdered hot chocolate bothers me, too, although Swiss Miss impresses me, and so does Dunkin Donuts hot chocolate (no whipped cream!), however that's made.

My favorite chocolate is Dove milk chocolate. I used to like Hershey's, but now every time I eat it, its taste bothers me. I'm not sure whether it has too high a percentage of cocoa in it for me, or if the stuff that they put in it isn't very high in quality, but it's too sharp and a strange flavor for me. I'll eat it, but I strongly prefer Dove.

Eric: Ah, I wish I was there! Or anywhere other than here, for that matter! I mean, I get to do fun stuff... but I haven't seen snow in a very long time. Where I live in VA, we don't get much at all.

Where I am, it's really warm right now. No idea why, we were into the cold part of the year, and then it poofed. But it'll be snowing again before long. Bwahaha.

It was mixing snow and rain last night here in Maine. Fortunately, I didn't have to drive in it for too long (though why I thought Crocs were a good idea is beyond me).

My favorite chocolate is Dove Dark, and my favorite cocoa is Starbucks'. They make it _just_ _right_.

I'm conducting again on Sunday -- we're doing Sousa's The Northern Pines. I also have a solo for clarinet and concert band called Autumn Caprice. Since Donna is playing in the clarinet section now, I don't think I'll have a video, but one of the brass players has a good recording system, so I'll probably be able to post _something_. (I also have a slide whistle solo in A Salute to Spike Jones, but that's not too far out of the norm for me. :-) )

Garrett: Oh wow, that weather sounds really desirable right now compared to roasting heat in AZ... Oh, you live in Maine? My youth group went on a mission trip to Maine last summer, and have been begging the youth minister to go again next year.

Not So Silent One: Snow in October? *wants* I had snow in October once, when I was little, and in Michigan. There's no chance of it at all, where I live. And especially not where I am now, on vacation (kinda) in Arizona. Bleech, icky heat. It's all warm DX

I'm so happy today, because my grandmother and grandfather gave me thirty dollars to spend, and sent me to a discount bookstore. I now have seven new books, and $2.28 left. I'll probably spend it on a thrift store when I get back home. But the books I got are:

• The Princess Bride (I've been looking for this for a while)
• Wizard Fantastic (short story book about wizards)
• The Book of Night With Moon (SQUEE! I found it! I found it at last!)
• Artemis Fowl: Book 1 (I'm trying to own all of them)
• Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident
• Specials (third in the Uglies trilogy, really good books)
• The Artemis Fowl Files

I'm really, really, really happy right now.

But how am I going to get those books all back home... I wonder if it would be better to ship them, or try stuffing them into my suitcase or just carry them all on the plane on the way back home...

Maybe I'll buy another suitcase, so that I can check them in with the rest of my luggage...

Heheheheh...For some reason I always feel slightly 'evil-genius'-ish when I buy a lot of books...

You already have snow?! OMG we don't have any here yet! (I live in Alaska, so this is shocking) We usually get about 3 inches by Halloween though, so it's coming....

Swim meets are starting up again. So far I'm doing pretty good, except in the 100 freestyle, where I _gained_ 4 seconds. Still, I may get it back down again next meet. Either way, I already have times for Age Groups and JOs. *Yay!*

It snowed in october here, for only a day though.....it's sad that it has been really weird weather for the last few years.....i live in Northwestern PA, so it almost always snows for my b-day, but i don't like (b-day Nov 9th, by the way) oh, and by the way, anybody else like acting in plays or musicals? I have been in stops to count..... 5? right now i'm doing Grease, which is really fun, but i'm like, the second youngest kid there, the youngest being my friend, Zach.(he's 2 weeks younger hehehehehe.....)Sorry. My biggest part was being Bagheera (is that spelled right) the panther in the Jungle Book. It was fun.....now, cause i'm the youngest, i'm only part of the chorus.....(the Bagheera part was w/ a different group.)sorry i ramble, and it is 9:50.....

I've done quite a few plays. I've been in 12 plays, and I've student directed several. I haven't done as many since I've been in college, I've done more of the competitions than regular plays. I've also stage managed. I haven't done anything Theatre related since last semester, I miss it. I'll have a bunch to do next semester though, Theatre is one of my minors and I have a few classes to take Spring semester.

We've been having some mild October weather recently. Recently I've had my brother, his wife and their eldest son visiting. They live in Kenya, and it's my nephew's first long overseas trip, so they appreciated the mild weather here. On Friday we all headed for London, taking the train to London Bridge, walking across the bridge to have a quick look at Tower Bridge and the Thames, and then taking the tube from Monument to South Kensington. We got to the Science Museum just in time to catch a showing of Bugs! 3D. After a bit of look around the museum and a visit to the shop, we went over to the Natural History Museum to check out the dinosaurs and the blue whale. From there, via Harrods (more shopping), to the Sea Life Aquarium, reached by walking across Westminster Bridge. Then a double-decker bus (not, sadly, a Routemaster) up to Piccadilly Circus, and another up Regent Street to the Apple Store (yet more shopping). Back down to Leicester Square, where we had supper (at a table outside), and rounded it off with takeout from Haagen-Daz. On to Charing Cross via Trafalgar Square with a quick detour into The Mall to look down towards Buckingham Palace, and a train back to Orpington. Finally a taxi ride home from the station. The day was packed, and if that reads a bit breathlessly, well, that's about how I felt by the end...

Today I filed for graduation. Assuming I pass everything I am taking before december (one class one project necessary to pass) I will have a Bachelor of Science in Februrary. This feels weird. Of course I won't be done both majors at that point and would have one more to take before May when I'd get the second major. (And this means current plan is graduating college before turning 21)

Needing to figure out grad school stuff. I have no idea what I want to do, and I have no idea what I'm even doing next semester not to mention next year. I haven't been able to take the subject GREs so I can't apply for next year many places, but there is still things I need to figure out.

I don't want to leave school. I mean, I know I'm at least going to get a masters degree but even so I need to figure out how that's working, how I'm paying for that, and everything. Well at least staying in school makes me not have to deal with finding a job right now in this economy.

I are growing up... meep.

That's fantastic Tuttle! Congrats! I know I won't be graduating before I turn 21, though I should have my bachelors before I'm 22. I'm in an internship program so things are a bit different than if I was just going taking classes. I'm hoping to get my Masters before I'm 24. (Ugh, 4 more years of school).
