  • This is a lonely weekend. I'm gonna call my friend up today and see if she wants to hang out. I'm out of my mind bored. I've been submerging myself in myself, and I got a new sketchbook which I have been messing around with. Not healthy occupations.

Andd... always present need to finish my homework and college supplements. There are so many. I need to write an essay for one university's honors program. phhh

Wolfmother is a realllyyyy good band. I got their CD Wolfmother and Interpol's Our Love to Admire are both amazing. Interpol is more peaceful alt rock. If you like the Editors, then this is good. As for Wolfmother, they're fun, they're crazy, and his voice reminds me of the singers of older rock bands, namely, ACDC, but it's different. I love love love

MM, I saw Enchanted yesterday, and I have to disagree. I loved it. I thought it was amazing. I mean, honestly, if I end up with princess-obsessed daughters, I may have to eat my young, but I loved this movie. XD It was funny, and yeah, it was cute, and the female characters were not utterly pathetic.

    • Never in my life have I seen so many 's in one post. Ha. Interesting.

Well I have to tell you all about how my best Thanksgiving since 2002 went.... But I can't now. I'll have to later today, or tomorrow.

But I do have the opportunity to tell you about the science fair. Yes, a veteran is returning to the Science Fair at our middle school.... Last year (Hmm... I don't remember if the fair last year was May 30th, or May 3rd.... I think it was the 3rd. that was only a few weeks before I came on here. However if it WAS May 30th than that was six days after I came here.... But I think it was the 3rd. Yeah.

So anyway, last year I took five different types of pills and tested their dissolving time in hot and room temperature water. However this year, I'm doing only ONE pill, and I'm doing the liquid room temperature. Why? Because it's just too much to keep track of.... And besides, I'm not getting graded on the project. Regardless, I am going to do as good of a job (if not better) than I did last year, I just won't make it as complicated.

Now, this year, my variable is the liquid type. I'm doing dissolving of the one pill in water, lemonade, and Sierra Mist. I'm also changing my timing and determining ways.... Last year, I took picture of the pill every minute until I thought it was done. That wasn't good because the pills were different sizes, so some took longer to dissolve. Also, my judgment may have changed throughout the experiment. My former Science teacher last year (who originally asked me to do this, and I definitely wanted to because I really want to revert to last year's ways... I hate how the teacher this year is doing a lot of things... I'm sure I've complained before) suggested that I do a fixed time (I chose eight minutes) and take a picture every minute, and after the end of eight minutes determine a percent of how much has degraded. I'll determine this by looking at how much of the red coloring is left on the pill, and also how much the particles cascade at the bottom of the glass.

Now, the best thing about all this is that the Science Fair this year is November 30th.... Meaning that I have less than a week to do all this. Today I gathered my materials, typed up a list of them, wrote a procedure, took a picture of the materials, wrote a hypothesis, and also wrote a general overview of the project (comparing what I'm doing this year to last year, like I did in this post above). So I'll be able to do it.

      • Omg, this'll be my THIRD POST in a month! *Gasp* how amazing...perhaps I should try and post around places other than TOGR lol. Ooh I just thought of a question: Are those rot13 wars still going on? If you've ever read them and asked about them you'd know what I'm talking about...Hehe. They were funny. Well actually I never took the time to read them, and honestly now I don't really remember if they were wars or if they were just topics that were written in rot13 for some reason...But it was cool. Anyway. I probably should look around and post elsewhere because I might find some of the people I know there...Gryphon...M...umm...I don't remember many of the people I knew...kind of sad. But hey it's been 3 years, so I kind of have an excuse. Heh. Well, if any of those people who knew and still remember me read this, I want to apologize to them for leaving and stuff, I know I already said that in that first post but I regret it, because I had many awesome times on this forum, many good memories, and then I left, nearly for good....all because of one person...well, not entirely. I was kind of drifting away from here before all that happened...Now I'm leaving you all in the dark. :[ I'm sorry. I'm kind of having a reminiscing day...Been thinking about all the stuff that's happened to me since seventh grade...It's kind of amazing...I've been through many many rough times and yet through the four years I've found the people that matter most in my life, and I certainly don't take them for granted, but I guess I don't usually take the wonderful friendships I share with them into account when I talk about how much my life sucks...
Well, I suppose I'll stop going on about stuff I'm ultimately not going to talk about in a public forum, and making you all feel sorry for me and whatnot, lol, so yeah. How was everyone's thanksgiving?

        • Oh wow I can't believe I did that...Gryphon! I read your post, and completely missed the fact that it was you! Ack, sorry lol. Hi. *waves* that was the closest I could find to a wave...haha. Anyway. Yeah. Just wanted to tell everyone how ignorant I can be

          • I had an interesting day today (so far)! I went to a new church, where the guest preacher paused the service to play with the laser on his slide changer/clicker thing. And the only other kid there besides me, was the one running all the computers. Oh, and the preacher also started naming all of the old tribes and all that from the Bible, like the Parasites, Jebusites, Isrealites, etc. and then to make sure he had everyone's attention, he added "cellulites" (spelled wrong probably, I know).
A very interesting Sunday morning this was!

Neo, I like your sig! It is very logical.

            • Thanksgiving was well, fun, I guess. We ended up seeing Enchanted(hee hee) instead of August Rush, because my sister tends to cry... loud. But Enchanted ended up being a really funny movie, I liked it too.

My scrimmage on Tuesday went well. We won, but our coach was still mad that we didn't run our plays right. The next day we had to do drills that incorporated with the play. Then on Friday we had an alumni game, and we won that too, but he was still mad that we didn't do things right. I don't blame him, I know we need to run the plays right, but still we won! Oh, and this makes me angry, I had to switch my jerseys with someone because she had a large and I had a medium. The thing is I'm a lot smaller than the girl I switched the jerseys with. But she's like one of my coach's favorites. It's not fair! I'm a junior and she's a sophomore, I get first pick... Ugh. So now my jerseys consist of two larges (home and away) one large shorts (for home) and one medium shorts (for away). I get the crappy end of the deals. So not cool. But like my coach said, "I can't make every one happy". Do you think that's fair?

Oh and the snow's gone. My first experience driving in snow wasn't bad at all. Although, my dad thinks different. He said that one of these days my car is going to end up in the bushes by the entrance of my housing area. We'll see.

              That's all for now!

Time passes. Even when it seems impossible.
Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise.
It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me.

              • *hugggggs!* Neoooo I miss all of the old people. Phhh... but now, I don't have the time to fill the togr of monster posts.

*Glares at EricG* Are you criticizing my use of 's?

                Mmm... back to homework ><

Oh, wait, first, I'm reading the Golden Compass I read it forever ago, but I've completely forgotten all of it, so it's almost like reading it for the first time again. Anyone planning on seeing the movie when it comes out? My mom is upset because supposedly they're taking out the religious edges, but it still looks like it's going to be a really good movie. Besides, I heard that it was all a conspiracy to have it come out right before Christmas. That way, all of the parents would see the good movie and then be convinced to buy the books, thus corrupting their good Christian children with these blasphemous novels. Whether that's true or not, I'm amused. XD

                • Yeah I know what you mean Gryph. *hugs back* but it's ok, we all understand. At least, I understand. And I'm sure most of us do understand. Clearly the best smiley out there. Eric. Lol.

Ahh! Golden Compass and following books are freaking amazing perhaps still my favorite three books to date! Alongside Young Wizards, of course. I need to re-read those. I mean YW. And yes, I'm going to see the movie, I'm very skeptical about it though...I think some of the actors they have are perfect for their parts and some, not so great. But we'll see...Hey! did anyone see they're releasing Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian soon? That should be good. I thought the Lion Witch and Wardrobe was pretty good. Anyway, I have homework as well *curses and waves at stack of books with one finger JK* so I must be off...but this message is my "hello" of the day! *Waves to everyone*

                  • EEEEEE!!!! I got into a college! XDXD Yes, it's my last choice of colleges, but still! I'm going away somewhere next year, since I got in. XDXDXD Veryveryvery happy...

Also, I'm happy since I'm almost done with all the other applications, and plan on submitting them tonight, as long as the internet keeps working. *crosses fingers* I can't wait until this whole college thing is all done...I'm going to go Christmas shopping when it's done, and have fun buying people presents. XD I love how my reward for finishing college apps is going shopping for other people.

I definitely agree that this is the best smiley ever. Period. No questions asked.

I'm just bouncing around now...I know, it's not the college I want to go to. The one I want to go to is more selective than this one, and is more expensive since it's a private school...but still! *bounces more*

Uhh...what else happened. Thanksgiving was amazing. I love food. My family somehow managed to make enough food to completely stuff ourselves on Thankgiving, and still have enough leftovers to let all of us have another huge dinner on Friday...and still have more leftovers. My family is crazy, but the food was so good...especially the potatos. We had an immense amount of mashed potatos, which happen to be one of my favorite foods. The Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning was good too; it was a good run. It was snowing, and cold, and the wind was really bad, so my time kind of stunk, but my friend M who gave me a ride down came in 30th out of over 2000 people...that boy is nuts. XD Ok, I'm going to go do stuff, like sort laundry, while dancing around. XD I'm just glad that I'm going SOMEWHERE next year.

Editted to remove an unhealthy amount of smilies.

                    • ALL RIGHT, what's up with you Youngwizards folks and the 's? Now is using mass amounts of 's a trend that I missed? I registered six months ago, so I would think I'd have seen some of it.... Or is it just beginning? If so, then I'll join the bandwagon.

So. Ooh, I just had a really good thread idea!!! I'll put it in "Chatter II".

Actually, you guys weren't even close to being as bad as that post--Someone decided to use every smiley there was (no text--just smilies), and then cut and paste it about 100 times and then someone else thought that was fun.... And some folks were also doing quick repetitious cut'n'pastes in chat to drown out everybody else with their spam. That's when we all got yelled at by Lee.
