  • ASSISTANT Librarian.

    With a dog.

Yes. Lirael rocks. But my head is completely in otherspace. I am feverishly working my way through the three existing Song of Ice and Fire books before the fourth one arrives on the doorstep...it has been FIVE YEARS since the last one...

Gah, I HATE it when that happens. >_< When an author takes longer than a Harry Potter book (aka "forever") to publish a sequel or never even does. There was this one series I read like a few years ago, about Unicorns, and it was supposed to be a trilogy... but there were only two novels, and there's been only two for many years. I wonder is the author gave up or discontinued the series...I hope they didn't, because that would be soo cruel and mean!

*clicks on link* O_o... that's odd...it's cats in sinks! Hahaha! What crazyness inspired someone to do that?! It's very random, but that's a good thing. *huggles kitties in sinks* Phaaraoh should do that, he
s my half-Asian-Leopard-Cat-and-other-half-is-domesticated-feline should do that, it'd sooo cute!

Cous-cous (sp?) is like a middle-eastern dish thing. *blinks* It's hard to explain... It can be dry and bland, which isn't so yummy >_<...But when made the right way it tastes very very good.

I think I have insomnia. I go to bed around and average of maybe 1:30 A.M.every school night, but I'n not actually sleeping until like an hour later. And on weekends I stay up like an hour later... I don't think that's normal. O__o

Yeah, I want to be Lirael when I grow up.
I haven't read that series, but she does sound cool. Sword-swinging librarian? XP Except that's not what I want to be when I grow up, that's still undecided... but if one could really have such awesome jobs, I'm pretty sure mine would be anime-related rather than from a real book...

I think it's sort of like really really tiny pasta. I loved it!! I haven't had it for a long time, however. Since maybe 6,7 years, which is about half of my life, so..

Yeah, I want to be Lirael when I grow up.
Aww, Sabriel and Touchstone...but wait. Wasn't she like 18? Meh, old enough I suppose. Especially going through her first ordeal..phew. Vanquishing a demon that had been sought to kill for 200 years...

I'm glad that it's better. Though I'm mildly disappointed...Lirael sounds grood (for all those homestarrians out there!) Thanks, I was wondering and worried, but am now reassured.

I think I'm gonna be a librarian whe I 'grow up'.

I had to be a sort of librarian every afternoon for our little bookcase last year (at school), andI like rearranging them in order and stuff. It was pretty cool for me. Yup.

just wondering, you don't have to answer.

P.S. Roald Dahl's ghost stories are reallly good. Hard to understand at times, but good. That man had SOME imagination, coming up with these: Charley and the Chocolate Factory, its sequel, Charley and the Amazing Glass Elevator, Matilda, Esio Trot, The Twits (which sorta freaked me out), The BFG, and countless others. What a great author!!

now that I'm done ranting....off to dreaming about Pumpkin Seeds!!

          • Haha, had a busy 2 days. Slept, ate, did homework, went to cross country, went horseback riding, etc. etc. Ouch. I sound like my mom, she says etc a lot.

Today in cross country, we were supposed to run 6 miles before we came back for the pool workout...none of us did. Instead, we went to this vintage costume shop, and looked at stuff in there for awhile. It was fun, I haven't been in there in awhile.

Babysat for 3 hours today. My brain is spinning from all the new Star Wars info I gained today from a 4 year old. I didn't know 4 year olds knew so much about stuff like that.

Wow...hard to believe it's already the last week of cross country. I'm going to miss it, but at least I've got two more years left of high school to run it.

Today, I reached into my backpack to pick up my phone, and it was sticky. With honey. A honey stick had opened in my backpack, and it only got one thing sticky: my phone. (honey sticks are plastic tubes filled with honey that are sealed on both ends. The honey can be flavored or plain, but you're supposed to use them in tea; of course, they taste really good by themselves as well ) Anyway, I wish I could use that as an excuse to get a new phone. So far, I've dropped my phone while turned on in a glass of iced tea, in the local river (which the cross country team thinks has sewage in it) and in honey. I'm surprised it still works. Oh well...only one more year until I can get a new one...of course, I've only had the phone a year. I don't understand people at my school who get new phones every month. Why waste the money? Unless you're like me, and abuse your phone a lot...

While I was babysitting, I had a bunch of chocolate; as a result, I can't fall asleep right now! Not smart...

Cats in sinks! I laughed when I saw that, and sent the link to my entire address book. This one guy sent me back a message saying "WTF?!" I laughed, since that's not something he would normally say...hahaha, cats...

*Buys one of Kaiba's internet grapefruits* I hate those sales, I can never sell the fruit! Of course, no one in my family really likes citrus fruits, so...that might be why.

I'm still sore from horseback riding last night...You know what? There's no point to this post. I'm going to go attempt to calm down enough to go to sleep...*looks in the medicine cabinet for sedatives* Jk, jk. We don't really have sedatives...but we do have laxatives...I wonder who's they are? *laughes* I love my family, we have the most random things around the house. Yesterday, I looked through a basket of clothes for some socks, and I found a very small fold up umbrella, along with my copy of Edith Hamilton's Mythology, which I've been missing and have been getting in trouble in English for missing.

Okay, Seabiscuit definitly has to go to sleep now...it's 11:30 at night...I should have saved some of that chocolate for tomorrow, I'm going to be dead on my feet as a result of this hyperness.

How could I forget the Disreputable Dog? Definitely another drawcard. As for ASOIF, all I can say is I'm glad I never started on them, if it's been five years. :P The new Wheel of Time book just came out, as well, and I'm sort of contemplating reading it- but I'm just not as excited as I was about the tenth book, you know? *shrug*

*cough*Door into Starlight*cough* I used to whinge about waiting for the next HP book, too, and then kli put the smackdown on me by pointing out how long she'd been waiting for Starlight and one or two other goodies. Mind you, 1993 (AWAB) to 2001 (TWD) is not precisely a short wait either... I'm so thankful I'm too young to have read this series the first time around.

              • First thing: MBF, I LOVE that piccy you made, tis COOL.

Anyway, it's been awhile since I've posted in here. I usually just go straight to chat when I login to this site, hehe.

My favorite videogame that I've been playing has inspired several interesting ideas...although when I tell the only person who'll understand, if I say it wrong she'll prolly think that the game is going straight to my head...but anyway, tis an AWESOME game. Anyone who's talked to me recently has prolly heard me mention it, but I LOVE Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (XBox). I have to remember to have a peek at the strategy guides later, before I play it again. I'm in a very tricky spot right now and I'm not sure what to do. I could spend several hours trying to figure out how to get past this, or I can just look it up and see if that helps. Sometimes even looking up the solution doesn't help much...

Right now I'm sitting in my Interactive Media class...actually, I'm about half an hour early, but it doesn't matter b/c I can use the comp to get online. My animation is due today, but I haven't been able to improve it very much...I might try to fiddle with it a little more, but it is pretty much hopeless at this point. Maybe I'll do better with my next project.

I have to remember that I have 2 term papers (History and Accounting) coming up, and I need to research for them eventually. I also have to keep up with my weekly papers...and my other writing. I think I have writers block again it's really annoying.

*yawn* I hope I can figure out something to fix this animation so it works better, it's driving me INSANE. Flash is screwing with my mind or something. This one specific action sometimes works, sometimes not. *sigh* I'll figure it out eventually I guess, but it's just the matter of figuring it out in time to put it in my animation.

Anyway, I think I'll be off now...see you guys around!

*wanders over to http://www.gamefaqs.com to look up what to do on this level of the game*

Unicorns of Balinor? I used to be <STRIKE>obsessive</STRIKE> interested in those books. I have...I think eight of them, but then they stopped being published. I think it was because of a lack of interest in the series. *shrug* It has always bugged me how it ended on a bad note.

Muahaha! I have a FIVE day weekend! Tomorrow through Monday, just being lazy. *bliss* Of course, I have to do some stuff, but I won't have to get up at 6:20 in the morning or do school work. Makes me happy.

THIS has been running through my head the ENTIRE DAY. If the player doesn't open automatically, chances are you have a pop-up blocker and you'll have to click the graphic. If you want to hear it at all; it's Mike Shinoda [from Linkin Park]'s side project, I think- I found the link on another forum. And it STAYED. *helpless* And OH ARGH, I went and clic- wooh, gonna be running through my head all night now XD.

Is there supposed to be anything on the cats and sink link other than the title in big letters and a bunch of ads? And cats were created to be very amusing without doing it on purpose (and to eat catnip and food).
Heh, actually, it's just the title, ads, and a picture of a cat in a sink. If you click a button below that, it shows you another picture. It's very mind-numbing if you're dying of boredom. (and cute for thirty seconds if you aren't.)

People who didn't like Lirael, KEEP READING. It gets better, and different, and cooler, and Abhorsen is REALLY GOOD. Even though I haven't read any of it in foreverish, so forget asking why it's good. I just remember this vague sort of better than the beginning of Lirael-ness.

Allcaps of DOOM are because wf is too lazy to use the wonderful invention called ITALICS. (Besides, it's like, night, and I'm having enough trouble with typos as it is without having to remember the name- oh shoot, s'the song I'm listening to. Without having to remember it's [ and ], not < and > which are EASIER even though you have to SHIFT because they're closer. Or something.)

Went to Waldenbooks to pick up a copy of SYWTBAW for a friend today, and also got paperbacks of WH and Good Omens for me. Good Omens I haven't read yet, but I can't read it now either ("Christmas is only two months away!" -mom's universal excuse for everything).

Economics holds ZERO interest to me, so it is insanely BORING. I think I missed some of the notes today b/c I fell asleep

I'm just hanging out in the comp lab for a little bit, mostly waiting for Tuttle to come online b/c I want to talk to her...ARGH chat doesn't work on this compy, and I just downloaded the new version of flash...oh well. *listens to random video game music from my flash drive* Tis the Sonic theme remix at the moment. These songs are so short.

*thinks of what I have to do today* Soon I will go back to my room, study a bit for a map quiz in history, read over ch. 7 of accounting, maybe read some more of Stephen King's "On Writing" and possibly play some of the oh-so-addicting game, KoToR. Then I go to history and accounting, then I will prolly get back online for a little bit. I really wanted to go watch a movie tonight...they're showing 2 movies on campus. One is the old Psycho, which I wasn't particularly wanting to see, and the other is Blade Runner, which I DO want to see. Unfortunately I didn't think about that last night when I agreed to fill in for someone at work tonight. Tis only like an hour and a half, but it still prevents me from going to see Blade Runner I just hope there are a lot of my friends online...

Tomorrow my mom is coming to visit me! My younger sis is coming too, and she said she'll try to bring Gidget, her Chihuahua. I LOVE GIDGET, SHE'S SO TINY AND SWEET. Anyway, my mom has a lot of stuff to bring me, and I have to remember to ASK her to bring some long-sleeved shirts b/c tis getting a bit cold around here now. I also need to remember to make a shopping list (I am running low on several things including cereal and facewash) and also to clean my side of the room and hide a few things. There are a few items/movies, etc. that I would not like my mom to see, so I'll prolly stuff them in a box under my bed while she's around, hehe. *starts a new song*

Anyway, I think I might wander off unless someone I want to talk to comes online...
