the queen of the elves is the queen i was refrering to.sorry for not making that clear! ummmm yes the books are still one of my favorits (on my top five) always and forever and its amazing that such a young person could be an authour of such a great book. i cannt wait for the next book to come out i have been waiting for far too long. wasnt he 16 when his first book came out? i think so but i may be wrong.

Just had a look at Wikipedia, which says that the first edition (privately published by his parents--and omg what that must be worth...although I'd bet a first of Harry Potter would beat it) was in 2002, and he was born in 1983. So, 18 or 19. The Knopf edition was in 2003.

ohhhh thanks i... wow hes young. hes smart *&^% so smart. but you know what i realized. i was playing the DS game for eragon and it is a whole lot better than the movie. i mean their are some of the same mistakes but it still is a better thing than the movie. even though its tough you have to get some of the symboles right exacly or you cant use them... oh well

if i remember correctly about the stuff of when he wrote it and everything, he STARTED it at fifteen or sixteen, but it took a while for him to finish it...The starting at fifteen isn't that unusual...or it at least it doesn't seem so on this site, where i know many kids who are writing books already, (me included...and i started planning the world out, and writing the original stories, a couple of years ago...admittedly, there was a year break in there, but still). What IS unusual, i suppose, is the fact that's he's actually managed it...*is happy that he did so, since it convinced my dad it's possible* *cheers*

ya its true (hey when you finish let me have a copy. so i cna read it. it would be interesting to read.). i write poetry and short storys. i have tryed to write for a long story but after a while i lose interst and just dont see the point. a friend of mine though is writing a story about a charaacter ahe made up and it is acually quite good. but still its amazing what the kids can do now adays. the imagination that kids, teens has is so amazing that you just cannt belive it. it great that our society also helps in any way that they can

I actually almost wrote a BOOK once...though it wasn't anywhere near as good as eragon. seventy five pages in, and not even half way done...unfortunately, at that point, since it was a part of a series of short stories that i had been wanting to make into books, i realized i had to rewrite all the OTHER stories, PLUS i needed to redo it to give everything more depth, and ended up scrapping the entire thing and starting the entire series over...(which is why i'm still working on stuff, most likely. *Shrugs*) either way, no matter how many teens can write, it's a pretty big acomplishment sticking through it, and getting your stuff out and read, and even enjoyed, by others.

and a really big hounor to have people like it enough to stick up for it when the movie sucks. it would be easy to say that the movie sucks (it acually would be good if i didnt read the book though *shrug*) the books does too. but we have a whole forum for it and all we have to say is how good it is that (if he is reading) must be a great hounor indeed. what do you think?

We don't have an entire forum for it...we have on TOPIC for it, and i had to create it myself! Of course, i belong to ANOTHER forumt that was originally created for it, but that's besides the point...and it really is an honer to have written something people are willing to stand up for, whether or NOT the movie stunk...and while i STILL haven't seen the movie, from what i've heard it really is just the amount that they CHANGED that made it bad. if they had given the characters different names, and changed the name of the movie, i think many people would actually ENJOY It, but inst4ead they butchered a book in order to sell a few more tickets off the books popularity...and THAT"S what i hate.

it's not THAT much of a stalker thing if you love his writings...and you can most likely get it on a site....arthurs who don't you psyudonims(sp?) and who don't do ANY public things don't have much privacy on these things...everyone knows who they are, everyone knows where they live, and everyone knows how to go about stalking them! it's part of the package. and a small price to pay if it means being able to do the things that you love, and write...and write...and write...and get begged to do more writing ,which you most likely WILL do, even if you never publish it, because real writers can't help but write...it's part of being a writer! and yeah...sorry for the ramble, but i have a REALLY long sig i need to surpass with my lines!
