Okay, here's to the questions I have stockpiled up:

dorotheia: what does the shamer books have to do with the eregon series? i read it and it was a really good sereis but i still dont understand what it has to do with anything.

The Lightning Thief I got for him, so I was a bit miffed, but at least he read something of mine. We'll see about my parents... *smiles widely and delightedly*

Yeah, it's definitely not a new thing to say we're copycats of each other. I always thought that's sort of what authors do... They're inspired by something, and they stick whatever things that have been done before and stick them in ways that make them new. *smiles crookedly*

my basic problem with the movie is that if they had changed the title, and the characters names, i don't think ANYONE would go "heY! this movies a lot like eragoN!" or if they did, they'd be just as likely to name a dozen others as well...it just had no real similarity. as a movie, by itself, i enjoyed it...as a movie in relation to a book i read, i didn't. and i don't think even the suprise 'i'm not really dead!' scenes can be counted as that, because when a character dies people AUTOMATICALLY go "they can't really be dead! they just can't!" so even if they are surpised, they're more happy then shocked when they turn out to be right...so i think the real trick is to just give them JUST enough time to start doubting so they're too busy being happy the guy was faking at the end.

hmmm... i thought the movie talk was over... *shrugs* oh well... but anyway i agree with young reader (on many things, why are you right so many times?) the corilation to the book and the movie was horrible. i wonderif they are going to make another book anyway, they really are going to have to clear things up
1) who the people they fought with are.
2)the baby...
3)and so many other things...

it gives me a head ace thinking about it

i'd like to think it's because i'm smart...but who knows, maybe it's just luck! *Grins* i think they'll have a hard time making another movie...(if they had named the FIRST movie something other then eragon, they could do it easily enough, but if they want it to corrispond with the second book even as much as the first did...i can't help but wonder if the writer BOTHERED to read past the first book, or just had a summery handed too him) what i really want to figure out is what's going to happen in the last book!

Does anybody know when the last book is coming out? And what it's called? *realizes this is probably a one-liner and doesn't want it to be but can't think of anything to say* Um, er, oh! Ok, all you shippers out there, do Eragon and Arya have a chance? I mean, sure she refused him but there's always hope, right? Personally, I'm holding out for Arya to come to her senses and Eragon to grow up a little. Actually, he has grown up a lot since starting the books, but still...long way to go. There's always farther to go.

the books called, empire...i think. and they ALWAYS have a chance...just seemingly a small one...*hopes they don't have one of those scenes where she comes around as he lies dying...and then he dies. or she dies!* i can s tand the whole coming back thing, even if that HAS been repeated a bit throughout stories...but the whole dying thing is just annoying! *hopes this doesn't happen*

YR, I know what you mean. That kind of scene is always so gut-wrenching...Okay, so the first book is called Eragon, the second Eldest, and the third Empire, did I get that right? Hey, they all start with "E"s! *finally figures that out* Oooo, I feel smart

So Eragon, Eldest, and Empire start with E, but they also have six letters. Interesting coincidence, but we don't actually KNOW, do we? I thought it was all rumor.

I wonder if Roran will be playing a big role like he did in Eldest; if the final dragon egg will actually hatch; if Murtagh's forced pledge to Galbatorix will be destroyed so he can come back to help Eragon again, or if he suffers a brutally (but sorrowfully) tragic death; about Angela's prophecy and Solembaum's advice in Teirm, and how it will come true; about rescuing Katrina, and Elva's role in the story... The wait is weighing. There are so many tantalizing questions waiting for Book 3 (and for all I know it's not done yet).

Hey, I hadn't even noticed the 6 letter thing! Good catch, dorotheia! Ah, I really need to reread the books; I can barely keep track of who's who and have almost forgotten the details of the prophecy. Only thing, school's out, so I can't get the books from the school library, and we hardly ever go to the public library. Darn, guess I'll just have to be confused for a while.

Ooo, I just noticed that my status now reads Member instead of New Member! *grins widely* I have achieved a new ranking! XD

what's strange, considering that patern is that the land starts with a, and the series starts with e...*thinks this is total and utterly blandent disregard to our hard sought patern and from this day forth the land should be known as egatasia and the series as "egad this is a good series" in keeping with it* not really, though...too much of a moutfull, for one thing. and for another...it just doesn't seem to work. *Grins*

I have Eragon the video game for my DS. I can't remember if I've mentioned it before. But I'm struggling with it. I love video games though I am not good in many. I was wondering who here has the game and if they can tell me what they did to win.

i still WANT the vidoeo game....for one thing, i'm an admin (or at least i was before the site got switchedaround...not sure what's going on now) on a forum that was, at one point, dedicated to eragon...so theoretically i'm supposed to be able to talk about all this! plus, everyone ELSE keeps on talking about this!
