I've only read up to The Rivers of Zadda. *pouts* I haven't read them in so long that's it's kinda hard to remember what's going on. I love the series though.

It took me FOREVER to get the quillian games out from the library, but i actually did manage it. *Cheers* and the first book actually didn't bore me...but i seem to be one of the few who feel that way...and i admit, i haven't reread it as much as the others, but that's mostly a matter of conveniance...

What is the main plot of the series? if its good i might concider reading them.
really long story short, perfectly normal kid, is having what is arguably the best day of his life...a girl he's loved for all eternity has just admitted to liking him, he's going to be playing basket ball in a few mintues, and everythings going great...then his uncle swoops down, reveals he's a traveler of the flumes, able to go to different words, known as territories, and next thing you know he's off fighting a villain that rivals the lone power. even wheres a suit and everything! of course, bobby (that's the kids name) has the most horid time of things, and is still struggling to figure out "why me?" even as he goes around saving everyone...messes up a lot, but always recovers with the help of friends. interesting to note, is that the story is actually told, for the most part, by journals he's sending to his best friend, mark, and the girl he kissed, courtney, through his traveler's ring. and we follow them around a bit two. they have some interesting adventures of their own, though i can't say they match bobby, and it's fun following them. at some points, you just want them to get back to bobby already, but as the story develops, what happens to them becomes just as interesting. *thinks that about covers it*
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

I just started rading them. I bought the first today actually. From what I have rad of it, it seems really good though. I was going to borrow it from my library, but they didn't have it. *Really annoyed with library* So I read the first few cahpters, liked it, and bought it. about two hours ago.

i can tell you guys this the first book was soo boring after that book it got really interesting and fun. but the first book is what you have to read because if you dont you will lose the entire plot line. which sucks because i put it down like 14 diffwent times but i still had read it.

His name was saint dane....EVIL! by the way. just had to say that...I personally still hold by my oppinion that the first book wasn't that bad, but i guess to each their own...and even if you don't like it, it's a good idea to at least TRY to read it! i mean, you don't meet loor agan for a while it seems, so if you DON"T read it, you'll have a bit of a time understanding a lot of what goes on between those two. And there IS a lot that goes on between those two that can be considered important, and which is mentioned all the time in later books without really going into the details of what happened...

-- and now for a short netiquette break --

Ok, it's time for a lesson about spoilers. Please remember that not everybody can get to the books at the same time. A "spoiler" is when somebody posts, describing a plot twist in a book that someone may not yet have read. For some people this "spoils" the pleasure of reading the book. For some people, it doesn't, but it's always wisest to err on the side of caution.

This is why we have the hidden Spoilers forum for the YW books--some folks are lucky and can purchase a copy as soon as the hardcover comes out, some folks have to wait for the library to loan it to them, and some folks have to wait for it to come out in paperback, or be published in their home country, or be mailed across the oceans from a foreign Amazon.

So, around here, the rules we have are geared for people who don't like having things spoiled. If you are going to freely discuss spoilers all over the place, put (Spoilers) in the thread title when you create a thread; if the thread already exists, just PM the thread originator, and they can do it by editing their opening post in the thread. If they don't want to, then think about whether there's enough spoilery-discussion to start a separate spoiler thread.

If there isn't, or you want to keep the discussion all in one place, learn to white out your spoilers. It's very simple. You use the color tag:
[color:white]Spoiler text here[/color]

Then, if someone WANTS to read the spoiler, all they have to do is select the text with their mouse. If someone wants to skip the spoiler, it's unreadable by default. That's it.

Ok. Back to your scheduled topic.
