Roshaun is a JERK!!!!!!!!! THPTHHPTHTPT!!!!!! Jerk Jerk Jerk. I like Sker'ret and Filif though, they're cool. But Roshaun is a complete JERK. I think he's in league with the Lone Power. But yeah, it could have been shorter then the last one but I don't know, I tried to print it and the first page said: Page 1 of 34. so I cancelled the print. And Fox, you can pre order it can't you? When I looked on Amazon it said, pre order it today! or something like that. Or maybe you just can't pre order it from England, but that doesn't make any sense. But I didn't pre order it, I'd have to buy it myself and there's no point since no one' going to buy it in the bookstore, Crazy Psycho people,(I don't think I'm good with P words, Psycic and Psyco or Phsyco or Phyco or Psycho....) Anyways, it gets into Barnes and Noble about a day after it comes out, sometimes the day of, I think they did with Alone, that seems so long ago now.......

Somehow I think jumping to the conclusion Roshaun's in league with the Lone Power is probably a little premature... I'm sure there's something going on with him, but my guess is that either it's something not at all obvious or -- possibly -- that it's precisely face value -- in other words, a certain amount of ingrained snobbery and none of the more sinister speculations we might come up with.

Of course I don't really know. I can't help considering the possibility that he's not actually significantly more malicious than, say, Dairine's comment about vegetarian meals, though.

(Of course, due to a fair amount of curiosity as to how the redeemed Lone Power might interact with things, I have to admit that my first thought when Dairine started thinking about him being hot -- and then the red-gold thing, for the second I skipped half a line and thought it referred to his hair -- was to wonder if he was an avatar or something. Like Peach. Only, you know, different. But I kind of doubt it.)

He's Evil. He only cares about himself and yet he's a wizard, it's nearly impossible that he's a good wizard, and The Powers wouldn't send over anyone who wasn't a wizard, would They?

Sunday.... Hmm. I can try, at least I'm with my dad that day, he still might not like it if I go into a chat room, but if I'm only there for a little while.... Well I'll think about it.

Ehh, we don't know (unless it has been authorially established someplace I haven't seen) that he doesn't care about anyone but himself. We haven't seen enough of him to be sure; I think reasonably conclude that he's rather spoilt and arrogant, but there's nothing to say -- for example -- that he doesn't care for his family (I think it's rather likely he does, actually), and it's not certain that he wouldn't die for the "lowlife" his family wouldn't want looking at them.

He wouldn't say it's lonely that way because it'd be true, after all. I have the feeling that insight Dairine put away for later may be significant. For all I know he's being nervous in a very obnoxious way, especially if he has no real experience with interactions outside his immediate family/social class, which looks to be entirely possible.

I suppose the point is that just because he gives every sign of being a jerk doesn't have to mean he's actually evil. He could still be trouble, of course. He could end up IN trouble by his own fault. (Or he could actually be evil. But in that case, why should the Powers find that the best way to deal with him is to send him to Earth? It seems more like a way to teach him a lesson... okay, so I guess it's possible that he's evil and to shake him back to his senses they decided to chuck him at Dairine, since her encounter with the Lone Power went so well. )

I did think the line about the Powers must be REALLY mad at her if they sent her a prince to babysit was hilarious.

*grins* I like the Power's idea of punishment. Can I send Dairin my little sister?!

I agree with PK about Roshaun; I really think it's unlikely that he's in league with the LP (though I do know that he wasn't doing what DD wanted; it mentioned so in her blog several months ago. Therefore he might end up dead. I kinda hope not...) and that it's far more likely he's just the product of a royal family, and a bit of a snob- and nervous. Did it occur to any of you that his parents might not have approved of the wizardry...? If that was the case you can start feeling considerably more sympathetic for him. Another point; a snobby defensive act could be a symptom of nerves. I know my best friend can be very shy; but she puts on this face and manner that results in people thinking she's an arrogant snob when in reality she's very nervous (and occasionally about to cry.) I guess my point is, don't judge a book...

kind of.... but I still think Roshaun is evil, and he can't be a good wizard, even if he's not directly in league with the Lone Power.
