My dad bought the first book for my birthday, but I put off reading it for a while. Then, when I finally got around to reading it, I got hooked! I had to keep reading the books!

ahhh!i notice this is completely random, but i found a gure-san fan! yay! i think i found a kyo-kun fan earlier but i dont remember...and hey! im drinking tea!! (only a furubafan would get that...)so rock on. slash!! (that sound SO cheesy...
)
anyway, the books kinda called to me. i have this tendancy to randomly pick out books that turn out to be really awesome, so i went to my school library and started combing through the shelves and i noticed the spine os DW (the 1st one i read)looked really cool. i read it several times that day and came back starving for the rest.

tea IS nice!!
by the way, SYWTBAW sort of caught my eye because of its thickness (can any teenage fiction book except HP be that thick, and available in the library??) turns out that it was a 'mere' 20 years old.. looks at the blurb, and decides, it's a nice book.... and not a non-fiction one, placed wrongly on the shelves (the title makes it look like a non-fict)..
i wasn't wrong in reading it!! (n continuing the series)!!

Hi
I first got into this series
hm... this year sometime (2006)
I was in the bookstore, looking for something good to read, checking to see if authors I liked had anything new out.
The title caught my attention...
I looked at the back, read the description,
and decided I might as well get it,
after all it could be good, and it would definitely be better than having nothing to read.
So of course I loved it.
My friends lent me 2,3,4, and 5
I bought 6 and 7 (&2 'cause it is my favorite)
After reading the first book,
I always find it interesting that I found the book...so much like Nita...just looking over books on shelf..."looking at titles...old friends--books she had read three times or five times or a dozen." (Page 6, SYWTBAW)

I got started in this series because my friend forced it on me, saying it was fabulous. For about two months I just left it on my bookshelf, not reading any of it, until he said he wanted it back, so I read it. I was hooked.-AND I AM GOING TO EAT....IT... ALLLLLLLLLLLLL

I think my parents gave it to me as a Christmas present 5 or 6 years ago. XD Honestly, I don't exactly remember ANY of how I got the books I have besides 5 through 6, since I bought those myself.
But, I have always loved fantasy and magic series, so I guess it was kind of a common-knowledge situation and the fact that it's so...real and set in America appealed to me most.

"It's beautiful, very, very beautiful. Beautiful. Do they know how beautiful Earth is?"-Quatre in Gundam Wing
"The goddess...is a brilliant being. One who can love man and forgive his mistakes."-Vice in Terra, a side story of Demon Diary Vol 1

I saw SYWTBAW and the cover scared me... My best friend was reading it and reccomended it, but I couldn't get past the cover and the SCARY back description.
I saw Deep Wizardry in the library and read it. The ideas of the One and the LP grabbed me. It was good to read about someone like that mistaken. It also seemed very real. In short, I loved it. I tried to get my mom to read it.
I saw that SYWTBAW was the prequel and went back and read it. I was hooked.

The Books of Magic. That series followed a young British boy named Timothy Hunter. Basically the story is that he was out doing what he normally does when he was confronted by four men in trench coats, John Constantine, Dr. Occult, The Phantom Stranger, and Mr. E, and they take Timothy on a journey into the past, present, alternate dimensions and the future; basically the history, future, present ordeal, and alternate realities of magic.
The original comic series was four comics long, written by Neil Gaimen. I got into the series through Neil Gaimens SandmanSo You Want to be a WizardWizards at War. Why, I cannot say, but I do plan to get to it at some point."Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children that dragons can be killed." ~G. K. Chesterton
