  • er, randomness...
The holidays are coming to an end for me very soon; I start school again on Monday. What about you people?

The important thing about adventures, thought Mr Bunnsy, was that they shouldn't be so long as to make you miss mealtimes.

    • Yes, sadly I return to school on Monday as well. I am going to attempt to cram as much reading as humanly possible this weekend, going into a 2 1/2 month block of school *groan*.

I will not comment on the religion discussion except to say:
      1) To Sam: I am a Christian also. BUT I believe more in a kind of essence of Christianity, if you see what I mean, rather than the particulars. With the utmost respect, of course.
2)To the forums in general: Despite what the Bible says, I do not believe homosexuality is a sin.

Well, I had a great time on vacation, saw LOTR again, hung out with my cousins for six whole days...but now it's back to the real world.

Oh, wait. AND I found out they're making a Spongebob movie! YAY!!

      • A Spongebob movie? Like in theaters kinda movie? Scary....
*moans* I'm going back to school on monday too. And I haven't even started my homework!! GRR. Not like I have much... I have to make corrections on my math test, if I want something higher than a D, and I have to do a stupid thing for "Death be not Proud" That was due already and I forgot to do it.... And you wonder why I never get on the B honor roll. I'm stupid. Or just not very dedicated to schoolwork.... *is mad at self* Not anymore!! That's another New Years Resolution, I'm going to do better in school! *is hopeful*

              • Uh.......... Hard to explain what a B honor roll is... it's where if at the end of the trimester you have all B's you get on the B honor roll and you get to have subway or something for lunch and your parents are proud of you, blah blah.

                  • I'm on the A honour roll.. but then, in Canada, an A is 80% or higher anyway.

About the quote, "Sexuality isn't a choice- we can change our sexuality as easily as we can our gender" I think that it was mentioning transsexuals in it with the gender thing. but still- I was making the point that we can't change our own sexuality without such extreme measures. Sure, one can deceive oneself into believing one is straight, but sooner or later.. they will come to terms with who they are.

                      • An A is 90% or higher here. However, honor lists only start once I get to high school. Good thing too. There's way too much pressure in my school about getting on the honor roll.
But going back to school on Monday means thinking about high school...honor courses...AP coursees...conferences with my guidence counselor..honor and AP exams in order to get into honor and AP courses...working on high grades to get into honor and AP courses...I guess the pressure on grades starts early. *sigh* Off to work on my history project then!

                        • Dai stiho, Luthien, and welcome! I don't know if you've gotten the full introduction yet, so I suppose I'll give it to you...I'm Ella and these are the Young Wizards Discussion Forums. Although presumably you already figured that out. We're a bit out of whack around here (*laughs manically* A BIT! I SAID 'A BIT'!) but you'll get used to us.

Tui'll show up sometime soon with a newbie pack, but just so you know, some helpful advice.

Don't call [whisper]marniebrown1[/whisper] by that name. Call her Agent M, or M. It's a long story, but that's just what she goes by, so...*shrugs*

Obviously most of these boards are dedicated to the books, as most of its members are but Chatter II and The Topic of Great Randomness, which is a topic that I started but then got so big that it got its own forum, are for the random, non-Young Wizards chat stuff. We ask that it stays there. Also, it's a big thing around here, but DD herself pays for these poems, so please THINK before you write. Please, no one-line posts, or, (God forbid!) one-WORD posts. But I'm sure that'll be no problem.

Huh-ummm...what else...Aurora's in a pretty good mood these days, *grins* she used to be pretty savage.

Papercrane has what is known as the KBA--Kawaii Bunny Avatar. Kawaii means cute, but it too is pretty savage *ducks* but papercrane doesn't think so.

Most of us are Americans, but we've got quite a few nationalities around here, and obviously quite a few belief systems. R-E-S-P-E-C-T is the ultimate. And, of course, being insane and having fun--because all of us are friends.

In conclusion *is hoping that wasn't too long-winded* WELCOME!

So. Guess what I just found out. According to the Hennen American Public Libary Survey (or some name like that, I cannot seem to find their website at this time) MY PARENTS HAVE MOVED ME OUT OF THE STATE WITH THE BEST PUBLIC LIBRARIES IN THE COUNTRY!!!! That's right, Ohio. OHIO!! I AM STUNNED! I absolutely cannot believe it. For seven years I enjoyed the best public libaries in the country, but now all that is lost to me. Delaware is like 26th or something. The library in my town is tiny. New, but TINY. When I saw it I almost started crying, because I am a library girl. Good grief. I can't stand it.

Even if a lot of us on here are Christians and Catholics, we all have different opinions on it, and we share some too, we talk about religion kinda often, some people are Jewish, some people are Christian... and everything else you can think of, I think brokencello might even be buddhist... Anyways, we all have different opinions on just about everything, DO NOT critisize anyone on what they believe, we've had a couple people do that, either they've left, or they haven't done it for a REALLY long time and I can't remember anyone still posting who does that.
ANYWAYS. Dai! Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy it. It's a long story about my name, ask anyone, but me. If you don't call me marniebrown1 I'll be fine. Dai again!
