I've read both of the books released so far and enjoyed them both. I didn't see much problem with the second book, aside from the evolution of the other brothers. what's his face name starts with an R. He just irritated me.
I am looking forward to the movie too. (will have to wait to see it on video/dvd probably) I've been playing the PS2 game with my brother all week and it's quite artisicly done.

I really CAN NOT wait for the movie to come out!!!!!! I am planning on seeing it on the 16, the day after it comes out! I brought the book to school today so I could read it before the movie came out (seven more days!!), and I found a hwole bunch of friends who love teh books, so now i am not alone in excitement. i am trying to convince one of my friends to jion here. Wish me luck.
You were expecting normal? Since when?
Life = insanity. Without it, life would be dull.

Neither can I though the previews hardly look like the book decribes things. Like in the book Arya has black hair... in the movie she has dirty blonde.
Eragon is a good series. The story is great, except...<*cough* parents wrote it>. I honestly cannot wait until the movie comes out, I want to see Braun...or whats his name, the companion. And i want to read Empire...the finally book.
I know, 1394!!! brown is close enough but blonde!!!!! that is a HUGE mistake. I complained about that for a while when i saw her. But we don't get to choose who plays what and how they look, so we get to live with it. Right at the moment, though, Eragon is not the book on my mind. one of my friends borrowed a book, the prophecy of the stones, and ripped the cover, offered to pay for it, then said i was insane and she wasn't going to pay unless she got to keep the book. But balthasar, how did you find out the name of the next book? is there somewhere i can go for info? tell, tell, tell!!!

i dunno where i saw the title of the third. <checking internet...> here something from wikipedia: "Eldest, the sequel to Eragon, was released August 23, 2005. In the first edition of Eragon, it was stated that the third book would be titled Empire, but Knopf has the right to change this: therefore the third novel has not had a name officially released. Paolini has stated that the title will not necessarily start with E and contain six letters like the other two."
Like its got to be empire because it deals with the empire situation and eragon in a ragging war with them. I believ i even saw the title somewhere...can't remember...but it was a green cover, when i saw it. dont ask me the details, check the internet. i read the book like 4 years ago...and i havent touched it in a while. im worried that i'll have to reread Eragon and Eldest when the third book comes out (eh....). like paolini, your parents know how to write, and the story is great...but its long and i hate reading books twice. thats why i hate english, always reading books thrice or more (ugh!). ooh now i remember, on one of the fan sites...they say that the third is empire. the unofficial stes. but im not going to be a slave of the book. he didnt write it, they are good story and thats it. haha i write so bad...i should gather my thoughts the next time i post...i would fix its, but lazy...hehehe!
Hahaha, right. I've don't mind reading books multiple times but only after a certain amount of time has passed. I read Eragon twice, first when I borrowed it from a friend, and second when I aquired the book through a trade from the same friend.
Other books I've read multiple times are The Secret Garden, my favorite childhood book which I read at least 4 to 5 times, A Christmas Carol, which I read every Christmas for 3 or so years(you can read it in one night if you try), and similar books I consider to be classic. Multiple readings invariably bring out things you miss. If I really enjoy something it's a must, though I don't usually decide to reread it for those reasons. It just usually happens.
I hadn't heard anything about the name Empire for the 3rd book, but I believe it's a plausable hypothesis. Deffinately SOUNDS right. And jwiz, I've been through that very thing before and HATE it with a passion. It's terrible when that happens because even if you get them to pay for the book this doesn't asure you can get a new copy. It happened to me with my copy of The Black Arrow, which was amazingly hard to find for some reason.]
...Yeah what if that happened to Nita or Kit with their copies of SYWTBAW Wizard Handbooks? Can't Exactly Replace those CAN YOU! heheh
anyway, I'm still iffy on whether I will go see Eragon in theaters or just wait till it's on video and dvd.

Raine~ first can i say how much i love your avitar! Its great!! My friend draws like that, wish i could. Anyway Eragon, I know i have said this before tons of times but i still dont understand why saphiers scales on the wing are feather like hm, I'm going to see it during the day on monday next week. Can't wait to see it. And I have to say I really want the third book to come out soon. I have to know the endings of stories and hate it when series are cancel before the author ends it. Thats not going to happen with Eragon though. Wonder if my book will be worth something in a few years? I nearly got the ones his parents got printed the very first time, imagine how much that book would be worth now!

the movie is out today and i heard it was like "dragon droppings"...which translate to BAD. rated 1 star out of 5. i heard its a watered down version of the book...so that isnt good. and eragon is a no-name actor.
My mate [who is an Aussie ] Saw it last night and she said 'its very like the last harry potter movie, very simular to the book but seemed very rushed'. I think this movie is going to be one of those ones where everyone will have their own opinion on it one way or another.

in my paper, eragon was rated 2 of 5 stars. i get to go see it on tuesday after my last final. sometimes no-name actors are good...if they're too well known it can ruin the movie...but i can also see where it would hurt the movie's income.

i guess you're right, but i'm not gonna start another huge debate in this forum about harry potter...i'm the worst person in the world, i shouldn't even be in this forum because i haven't even read eragon...don't kill me too quickly...
