I'll amend that; there are three books in the Discworld series that are specifically kids' books: The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents, The Wee Free Men, and A Hat Full of Sky. These can be good to get started on if you just want to check them out and see if you like his stuff, and then go on to the "adult" ones, which anyone can usually like- my younger brother and sister, who were probably around nine and eleven when Maurice came out, read that first and Hedley, the 11 year old, (now 13) went on to read the rest, while Freya hasn't, but probably will. *shrugs* Just thought I'd mention that.
Go ahead! Panic! Do it now and avoid the June rush! Fear death by water!

Here's mine,
Princess Diaries
Artemis Fowl
Harry Potter
As you can see I don't read that many series...

Has anyone read Tithe? It's next on my reading list. And, just out of curiosity, what about Faerie Wars? I really liked that book.

Speaking of Artemis Fowl, I love talking about this, but after you read the third one, did you think there'd be another? I didn't, because it seemed so final, with the mind-wipe and everything. He could have ended it there and it would have been perfect. Not like I don't want another one, but that would have been GREAT. What did you guys think? And what about the movie? I haven't heard anything lately...

The Wind on Fire Trilogy was so awesome! The first one was my favorite--I love stuff with messed-up civilizations that seem perfect...screwy I know...like the Giver and the Shadow Children books. I need to reread the latter.

I haven't read the Wind on Fire Trilogy yet, but I guess I should because by what you guys say, it sounds really good ;-)

Has anyone read The Chanters Of Tremaris trilogy by Kate Constable? only the first book is out so far and it is called the Singer of All Songs. It's really good and I can't wait til the second book comes out!

I need to add another series to my list:
His Dark Materials Trilogy

Phillip Pullman is an amazing author ;-)
