I need help! I don't know how to ski or snowboard and I need to learn one for a school field trip to Afton Alps! Can someone help me pick which one to learn.

Hmm... I went with school last week.... two beginner snowboarders came back with broken arms if that helps your decision. I've heard snowboarding is easier to learn if you've skied... But I've never snowboarded before. If it's Afton... I'd say skiing. Because it's so big, I don't think it'd be a great place to begin snowboarding if two girls got broken arms at a place with only like... 6 hills. Afton is soooooooooooooooooo much better.

Don't learn any one of them Zgirl, it is really hard I've tryed and I didn't like it. and Yes Angent M I play it, I just started in september of last year for school.

You didn't like it? Well.... It'd be no fun for Z to just sit around and do nothing would it? Sides... She's a Minnesotan! We all like winter sports!!!
Cool! I only know G, B, and C. And my guitar was previously busted and is still out of tune. But that's okay.

I never understood on how to tune it, I allways have my teacher for school do it for me. The best song the I know how to play is Brown Eye Girl at least to my teacher it is the best. I got a 27 out of 28 on it.

Agent M: Gracias! I'll try skiing then. I live on a golf course anyway so it'd be fun to ski out there in the winter. (Not that MN has any snow this time of year.) Everyone of my cousins doesn't believe that MN doesn't have any snow right now! They live in NJ,washington DC, Philly, and anywhere else out east.

Lissa and M: My friend plays the guitar really well. She is saving up for an electric guitar so her rockandroll songs will sound better. How much do those things cost?
I play piano very well! I'm a master at 6th grade!
I also take singing lessons and it's really fun! If anyone wants higher self asteem take about 10 private singing lessons. Then sing in front of a group. You'll never be nervous for anything again!

Zgirl: yep, skiing's pretty easy to pick up if you only aspire to the bunny slopes. (read: I never got past that.) Then again, I've only skied (should I have put in another i? It seems like it...oh well.) a couple times.
Incidentally, how do you measure masterhood? *is curious*
Ooh, and have you ever played anything by Joplin unabridged? (You can't get the real Joplin-ness of a piece if you simplify it. IMHO, of course.) I don't remember if I've asked you this before, so bear with my coffee-deprived state at the moment. (My mom believes that coffee is bad for me and took it away. I believe it keeps me sane. As evidenced by my lack thereof today.)

Me and him sat by a wall watching everyone cynically, as we're prone to do, then we left and went to eat pizza. It was great.

He's the guy who slipped his tongue in my mouth and punished himself later when he found I was slightly uncomfortable with it! (really- I watched him bang his head repetedly against a wall) So yeah. It was fun.

What would happen anyway? I mean, at MY school, our dances are only patrolled by police. His school dances actually have proper security. You give a HINT of a fight, you're GONE. he says the security's absolutely insane. There's even frisking going on- That's searching. The teachers pat you and your clothes to check for weapons, etc. They have reasons though. Apparently, there've been a couple stabbings and drug deals and stuff in their dances. Not much would happen. Other than people making out and stuff.

Clementi...I think I used to play a couple pieces by him a long time ago...nothing now, I'm afraid. Right now I'm into Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag (loads of octave chords...rather a good thing I learned Alla Turca first ) and several of Chopin's pieces. So very happy.
