  • Zgirl: What, Alla Turca? It is a lot of fun. I learned it a while ago because I heard it and liked it...hate that middle part, though, with the broken octaves. Played it for years, and it still irks me. But I still love that song.
bc: Er...I guess it was sort of random...but I was replying to Zgirl.

    • Oh, he suggested something with the whole "running my nails down your back" thing... But that's just play. Insinuating something doesn't necessarily mean they're going to do anything, usually. It's like teasing, really.

But kisses really taste nice... mmm... *embarrassed look*

Besides, as he said, "We're probably the least likely couple to do anything irresponsible." Which is very true. Because we've both seen the consequences of being irresponsible, and to be frank... The consequences scare the absolute CRAP out of us.

            • OK, there is officially TOO MUCH TO CATCH UP HERE!!!!!!!

              But two things:
Melissa, KS8R and Aurie! Listen to me! I'm going to say it slowly and carefully because I know I've told you all this in the past!
We love you. You are smart, funny, likeable, beautiful. I know I don't know what you look like, but in my (of course infinite) experience, no-one is ugly. There is always something pretty or beautiful about you- mentally, obviously, but also physically. Love yourselves. OK? Stop dissing yourselves! Are you impugning my taste? Are you saying that my taste in people isn't good enough? Are you saying I don't know what I'm talking about?
              No?
              Good.

I play violin, Suzuki Method. I know Suzuki is quite popular in the States- did you go to any Suzuki Camps, ppc? What book did you get up to? (After eleven or so years, I'm struggling away at La Folia from the beginning of Book Six.... but that's not so bad, I guess.) I also play viola, no particular method, and I used to take piano but quit, 'cause I sucked.
My favourite composer is Beethoven: he's brilliant to play in orchestra. I also like Corelli, Vivaldi, Bach... oh, lots of people. Joplin's fun. Eh, Clementi- he's OK, he's just a piano dude. Pianists play endless Clementi sonatas and sonatas and sonatinas, right? Vivaldi's the same with the violin- you have to learn to like him, because otherwise you'd go insane.

I've decided a person can only do so much.
*nods* I had to make that decision too, when I dropped ballet, Unfortunately, now I'm not getting any exercise, which completely sucks. It's sad- I also can't do debating and take up salsa classes, which I want to do. But you're right: you gotta pick and choose eventually. (Though now all I'm doing is music- but what with practice, violin lesson, viola lesson, school orchestra, WYS, Chorale, Mana Pasifika, trying to do six subjects this year plus scholarship papers..... not even realistic, really.)

The clarinet is quite a cool instrument- I don't know how much it is, though, but probably not as much as a violin. Student-style fulls are about $1500, $2000, depending on how mucb you're spending and where you're getting it (I inherited mine. ) Clarinet, though.... *shrugs*

Speaking of violin and money, a TERRIBLE THING happened to my precious fiddle. I had to go away, and when I came back, SOMEONE HAD STEPPED ON HER and put her fingerboard right up along the body. *dies* It's a pain. My poor pretty! I can empathise with BC now...

I'm crap at tuning, but I do know how to do it. Badly. I usually use our piano, it's easier.

I have no idea how many dances I'll have. Probably two, a dance-dance and a formal. Which reminds me, I've gotta talk to Grandma about making the dress...

*hugs bc* Chocolate? Here you go... *hands bc some Dairy Milk* Hope you like it.

I'm here, ally. But I've been away for ages.

              • I think I have annother winter formal related issue that qualifies as an emergancy.
*takes deep breath before launching into long narative*

My best friend was going to go with this guy who we all though was very nice. His name is David. He said that he had a crush on her and she's never gotton any attention from a guy before so she thought that all of this was very special. Then this girl came up to me and said "Your friend can't go to winter formal with David. He's my bf." I thought that she was crazy. Unfortunately, after checking several sources, I found out that she wasn't. David the idiot was two-timing my best friend. Technically he and my friend weren't dating, but he'd still asked her first. She confronted him and it turns out that he wasn't even planning on telling her that he had annother date. He was just going to ditch her at the last moment. I was angry. I went up to evil David and decided to...urm...speak my mind. I did. I heard that he ended up crying. Now my best friend has no date and I'm a horrible match maker, and she's scared to go without a date. My date is a very good friend of mine and we both like eachother, but we've decided that we're both not ready to be bf/gf, so I would feel a bit awkward going alone with him. What should I do?

I got up to book seven, but at the end I was just sort of playing whatever I wanted...
re your violin: Oh...poor violin...hehe, at least pianists don't have to worry about that. Or flotists. Oh wait, flotists do have to worry about that.

It gives you high self-asteem and you'll never be nervous about anything again. I like private lessons better than choir, because you can learn to do things by yourself and pick the songs you want to sing!

Has anyone been to a Concordia language camp? ( if Agent M is reading this please reply... I think they are only in MN.) I am going to learn Spanish there. All though I know so much spanish already.

I made sure that my teacher didn't forget it.

                                *wicked grin*

I told my teacher that I hated his class and that I would never take a spanish class agian for the rest of my life. I had the second highest grade in the class, so he couldn't assume that my displeasure was caused by "sour grapes." He decided to give me a LONG lecture about how I was wasting my life and how I have no drive, ambition, or direction. Half way through, I put my headphones on, closed my eyes, and hummed. Senor Rossi will NEVER forget me.
