HA HA!! I got out the 24th sort of... It was a day of just finals and we got out around noon that day. I was supposed to go to the graduation to play for the seniors but I didn't go because I told my dad that I could skip it because I had missed just about everything else before anyways... So, it was pointless and I barely knew any fingerings... *sigh* Next year we are doing Lord of the Rings for Marching Band. GO LOW BRASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! </cheering for her own group>

I go back on the.... *checks HS site*...The 17th. Poor teachers have to go back on the 14th. We have orientation for sophomores on...The ninth... Same day as the "stupid freshmen". I am so glad that I am now a Sophomore. Just means less hearing "Stupid freshmen..." in the halls and knowing they're talking about my grade. Now I can say that!! SQUEE!!! And just to make some of you laugh like Amanda did, SQUEENESS!!! Well, my arm is strarting to hurt and chat probably thinks I am dead...Tee hee...

One month, 3 days till orientation.

One month, 11 days till school starts.

I just tallied my hours up... assuming I pass the class I am taking now, and the one I am scheduled for this fall, I only have to take 3 more classes, then I will be eligible to take my oral comprehensives, and, Powers willing, get my masters in Library Science. Whew! Yay for me... pending!

Oh, everyone replying to this, I'll be amused and reply when did I get out.

I hadn't replied because I had already been out when the thread was started hehe.

But yeah I was done classes May 2nd, though graduation wasn't until May 12th. So either of those would work.

When I got out I was...I don't know how to explain it, mostly in disbelief that high school was over, that the next school I did I'd be living away from home.

I go back to orientation on August 20th, thats move in day. Classes start a few days later.

And I don't know what I'll say for graduating, because I don't know whether I'll do 3 year or 4 year or what and I know I'll want a masters but I could do a 5th year program, or what, I don't know yet, so that can't be answered.

But yeah, thats it,my reply to the question which I've been avoiding replying to
We will remember you PM. And your little GingerBear.

Well. I go to a hippie-ish private school in a hippie-ish seaport, so my school hours tend to be sort of...lenient. Besides finishing exams the last week of May and then coming back the first week of June for results and basically partying, school doesn't start until around the ninth or tenth of September--and even then, there's a week of "Have fun in the wilderness with ten classmates! Hope you survive!" (aka Outdoor Experience) before actual classes begin.

Oh. And every Wednesday only has three class periods, and we get out at noon.

But then again, we have a four-year gym requirement. Which sucks, unless you're clever like me and manage to get around it by being artsy.

I return to school in the fall as a junior. This means college hunting. I am torn between being psyched and being mortally afraid. On the one hand, I can't wait to be able to focus in on the subject(s) I want to (music and English). Of course, on the flip side there is the bit where I have to get consistently good grades, and somehow I've managed to make this year my most demanding schedule-wise. Fantastic.

Ooo, ooo! Those are the subjects I'd like to focus on, too. Music and English, I mean. I don't have to worry too much about colleges just yet, 'cause I'll be a sophomore. I've dragged up a little info on a few colleges, but that was mostly because we had this huge project on our "Great Expectations" last year. It'd be easiest for me to stay in state, because you get $500 from the state for college for every year you make straight A's, and a bonus $500 or something if you do it all four years. Not to mention the tuition of say, WKU (Western Kentucky University) is half that of say, Miami University up in Ohio. And why on earth did I pull out those two colleges? Because those are the ones I used for my project.

In middle school, if you take orchestra or band, you can't take the classes like computer or art, which also gets you out of gym. That was great for me, except for not being in Spanish. All freshmen have to take gym, but after that, we're free. Meh. I loathed that.

I'm not sure when school starts back, sometime in August. The 17th, maybe. That sounds about right. I have five weeks left, anyway.

I'll be taking the hardest course possible for a sophomore, except for those lucky souls who got to skip Spanish 1 freshman year. What's so annoying is that this kid who was new to my school last year got to skip Spanish 1 and get into all honors. He's the most arrogant, obnoxious, conceited person I've ever met, and I've never even talked to him. He comes off in such a bad way that I can't stand to be around him, and even though he was in _three_ of my classes, he has no idea who I am. All those classes were the hard ones, too. So, he'll be in five honors classes next year, while I'll be in four 'cause there's nothing I can do about it. There's no honors spanish until spanish 3, which is a Junior course. AP classes aren't available until Junior year, which stinks. Our school is very limited. *sigh*

The freshmen coming in are horrific. No, I'm not just adopting the "stupid freshmen" attitude; the class is just so annoying. I know maybe one or two that I can actually stand. I'm dreading band sooo much. Not to mention that the band room was already cramped. Now we just won't fit. Anyway, I'm sooo glad that there shouldn't be any freshmen in the classes I'm taking, besides band, that is.

Ohhh, you northern-hemisphere guys are sooo lucky! I'm just about to go back to school after winter holidays (next tuesday) with exams in two weeks :-(. But I finish year 12 *oh, yeah!!* officially on september 29th and my exams finish on november 10th. Yeah, the big final exams here take place outside of school. So we have to come back and do exams after school finishes. And then we have the year 12 formal on the 20th, which is good. But when am I going to have time to get something to wear?

Just to be safe, it would be better to put it on another site somewhere, and just post a link to the story on the forums.

And, to get back to the topic, in case I haven't already said this, I got out of school on the 16th of July, 1976.
