You mean like a "I know this passage" curse when reading a book for the first time, or recognizing places you've never been to? whichever one, i agree.
That happens to me a lot. it's probably because long ago, I might have read that book. But, I doubt it.
I can create a world, out of letters and words. I can make you believe something in a paragraph. I can make you love someone in a page. I can make you go places that don't exist in a book. That's all the magic I need. [url]http://melpomene.freeforums

when that happens to me, the worst part is usually that it happens right in the MIDDLE of a book when everything else is strange....throws me completley off! it's like i've been suddenly tossed out of the world of the book, and i've got to climb back in again.

*looks up and realizes with a shock i just quoted someone responding to what i had just said*
      oops... *goes and erases quote*
      I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Well...this isn't exactly what you're talking about, but my brother has this thing where whenever he looks at the clock, it's 5:55 or 11:11 or 4:44. It's pretty amusing, he runs away screaming every time, XD

wqhy would you run away from that? doesn't he know the whole thing about making a wish when you see that? or am i the only one who knows that...ah well, tell him it's supposed to be a good thing! or don't, if you're enjoying the show too much. *grins* the only numbers that haunt me is eight, and only cause i LIKE the number eight.

I've heard of that. I don't do it though. It never works, except in extreme cases. Extreme cases that have something to do with the space-time continuim.

That rarely happens to me with numbers, but with words instead. I've had entire weeks where I hear the same word repeated over and over again in TV shows, books, people I know, blogs, etc., when before I'd never heard that word once. (Or had only heard it rarely) Drives me nuts!

I've had a friend who had a problem with electronics. Everytime he would go under a lamp post the light would go out, and when he's near electronics they don't always keep working correctly.

I can definitely identify with that, Gigo. Mondays have got to be my least favorite day of the week. There's something about having to drag yourself out of bed on a Monday morning at 6:45 AM when you've been able to sleep as much as you want over the weekend. And the day always seems to go downhill from there. Oh, and as for the number curse...123 and 456, etc. seem to pop up unexpectedly a lot to me, but then again maybe it's just that I notice them more.

I've been having trouble with one minus seven root thirteen over 39. Actually, I only encountered it once. But really, once was enough. Such a stupid number.

Complicated equations to speed up time? Huh? How would an equation speed up time? *is confused* That's rather...freaky.

Eric, no more one-liners or else I will be forced to set my ravenous flesh-eating pink bunnies on your trail
