*glares at Rysade* Are you laughing at me?

As for War.... Well obviously there's no official announcement, and I'd love it if they just went on and on. On the other hand, well, War just feels like an ending, and so if I had to guess when the last book would be, now, from what I know, now, I'd guess War. On yet another hand- nobody's mentioned anything that would imply the series is finishing off; that might be a good sign.

We could just ask DD next week, you know.

And I'd kinda like book sbaout Nita and Kit older, but I think that it would significantly change the tone of the series. Being a teenager is a particular.... I don't know, possibly setting, that allows you to do certain stuff. once you get older the setting changes, sometimes not much, sometimes quite a lot; it would probably change the series a lot and is not exactly in the title- "Young Wizards?" Also, one of the best things about the books is that Nita and Kit deal with life, blah blah, and wizardry. Obviously you could do that adult too, but....

No. I might not even read the books if it's when Nita and Kit are adults, even if it's better then having all new characters. *sigh.* I wish I could chat. I'll try to come but if I can't can you guys tell me what she says? Please?

Why don't you talk to your parents about how there's a resposible adult (OK, a given value of responsible.... kidding...) present at all times, there's a blocking function, we don't talk about personal stuff, site policies are rigid, it's-only-to-talk-to-this-author..... worked for me.

Or I can go on it and minimize it every time an adult or person goes by... it wouldn't exactly be lying........ But I might try to talk to my dad.... I don't think it'll work though.

Please say the books are not ending. I've only been reading them for six months (finished). I'M TO YOUNG I TELL YOU TO YOUNG. A little dramatic I know but good intentions in it.I still have 5-10 years of young adult reading in me. I'm only 15 after all. Why speed up growing?
I sure don't want wrinkles when I turn 35 *shudders*. Oh well. Mom always said to embrace the future no matter how ulgy the reflection.

Let me just slip in here briefly and put a few of your (assorted) concerns to rest.

                    (a) The YW series emphatically will not end with Wizards at War. One story arc which has been developing may reach something that looks like a conclusion during that book, but at least one other and possibly two others will open up.

                    (b) Believe me when I tell you that there are a lot of topics implicit in the structure of the YW universe that I've never had a chance to get near yet. I'm planning to take my time about this business. To that end, at least three more books in the series are planned after WAW; we have no contracts for them as yet, but I don't see that as being a problem under the present editorial "administration".

                    (c) My editor at Harcourt and I have still not come to a conclusion regarding what to do with the third book on the present contract (WH and WAW are the other two). It might be another Wizards book, it might be a book intended to start off an entirely new series; it might be something else entirely.

                    (d) I plan to keep writing YW books until I get tired of them, or otherwise get a sense I have nothing further to say in that venue. I'm nowhere near that point yet. So those of you who were concerned...relax.
