Dude...are you serious? ARE YOU KIDDING?

    I don't really know.

    *twitch* It's MAYBE. *twitch*

*bursts out laughing* I would spend the rest of my life looking for The Manual, if It existed. Plus, I don't have to go to school. XD

Lying? Well, if you HAVE TO, like to protect something/someone/being somewhere, and that some____ is so important that you have to lie.....only in an extreme emergency...

As for petty lies? Pfft. Who does those?
As a plus: when my mom asks: are you hiding something(etc.)? I sometimes say yes(if it's true). And she says 'okay'. She's pretty cool that way.

    whoop-ee-do. Languages are awesome.

Courage? Stamina? Dangerous experiences quickly and often?

SIGN ME UP! We are wizard-heros! Off to quick-save and rescue-help people. We slash-fight evil. We rescue-save people. We have wizard-magic powers. What is a little discomfort and knowledge that you may sudden-die during errantry? *does triple-backflip in the air*Whee!

*bursts out laughing at Fay* Fay.....Fay....I KNOW I've heard that before. *shakes head* Genius. Hee hee. Pure Genius.

    Idiot.

May I take The Oath? Please? Pleeeeeease?

(The Oath appears in a pop-up ad, and I BECOME A WIZZZZZARD. Yay. Wizzy wizard. )

Im truthful and hardly ever lie, and if I have to then I feel bad about it for a long time. I read alot and i mean alot! I love words and maths and science. I think, in fact I hope if this was real I would hope that I would have been offered the oath.

I kind of feel that If I had been given the oath I would travel alot and maybe be good with animals and nature, Kind of like Nita. God at times I wish all this was real, I alwasy felt that my day dreams and imagination was alot better than reality!

I think I probably would. Or, at least, I think I have enough qualitites. Let's see, total bookworm, been reading since I was 3, and haven't stopped since; Can understand most Romance languages when written or spoken, and pick them up fast, (never tried other language families...) and am top in my Japanese class without any effort; I conserve energy a lot, you know, recycle, compost, plant things, turn off lights, low-output shower-heads, the works (My mom raised me that way. XD); Word puzzles are really fun for me, but I have to get to them before my mom!

Lying though, is a bit of a problem. I guess it's not really lying, but when I say something that I don't really know, like when Mom;s trying to figure out why I won't do my homework: I'll just tell her something to get her off my case. Oh, and putting things in words that make it sound one way.

The whole bravery thing? Hah. I'm crazy-brave, which is sometimes a bad thing. XD But, I think, in defense of Life, it might be seen as a bit of a virtue, ne?

Well, I'm not too sure if I would be offerred the Oath, because I'm pretty much a coward in real life. But since I've never really been in danger before, I don't know how I'd react.

I fit pretty much all of the other qualities, because I"m a serious bookworm, I love words, I'm good with languages, and I'm a really adamant environmentalist.

Don't laugh, people, but I actually took the Oath out loud. *blushes* I kept thinking that this would be so cool to be a wizard, so I said the Oath out loud. Nothing's happened yet, though, so, I"m still waiting. Maybe I'm on a waiting list. *crosses fingers*

I would love to be able to fight with the Lone One and protect life.

Wouldn't it be nice if DD could post a list of the qualities needed to be a wizard? I think Nita's manual has a list of them.

None of us will laught, don't worry. I'd venture a guess that at lest half (if not more, which I'm leaning towards rather hard) have done the exact same things. At least once. I know I have. Although mabye if I'd've taken it before bed.....

Alrighty, everybody who took the oath, raise your hand! ::raises hand::

                *raises both hands*

Don't be embarrassed sker'ret! I believe that most of the members here have read the Oath aloud, even if some of them might not admit it. I have read it so many times I can't remember...

*sigh* I wish it was real...sometimes it seems like it is, but then other times I feel so ridiculous believing in Wizardry...it's just not fair! *cries* I want to be a Wizard...

I'm pretty sure I haven't said it out loud, but I darn well could have and can't really think of a good reason why not! I guess I figured that if it were really real, I'd get an actual manual to say it from.

Of course, Dairine's came to her after she said the oath...

*raises hand* Well, I sort of whispered it or else my parents would've heard me...and that would NOT have been good. Actually, I took both versions...Maybe I should have read it out loud...
I wish so hard that wizardry was real, ever since the first book I discovered of YW at my school library. My friend and I decorated our whole locker with fantasy themed stuff of which one of the things is supposed to look like a library book on the outside, and the Manual on the inside.
If wizardry were real, the world would be a much better place- though I don't think normal people would notice it. I'd love to be one of those who actually experiment with the spells and discovers new ones, but that'd probably be very dangerous. Then again, being a wizard is dangerous. But still....

                    I wish I were a wizard....

                      *slowly raises a hand*

Yes, I took the Oath awhile back, when I was still naive enough to truely believe it would work. I always wished that it would happen...just to make my life more fun, and interesting. I think I would almost be too old to be given the oath by now...but hey, it's my fantasy, and in MY fantasy, I have a manual and am a wizard...lately, I've been living in a fantasy world, so...

I too wish I were a wizard. But don't most of us?

Hey I think everyone wishes it was real. Don't you sometimes wish you had more control over a situation??? I wish I just had more adventure in my life. *Sadly sighs* Oh well.

Took it years ago. Nothing yet... But things take time. Hopefully I won't be completely out of power if this entire thing turns out to be more than a book...

That's 6 people so far, which is actually quite a lot, because I bet if I went around asking people if they even knew what the Oath was they'd think I was absolutely crazy.
It's nice being here where everyone shares a lot of the same interest as you, and one wish- to be a wizard.

I think most of the people out there wish they were the HP type of wizards, but I think YW wizardry is better. It's more...tied into this world, like it could actually happen if we looked and wished hard enough. It has an actual purpose, and it's...well...more fun.

*raises hand* Yeppers, I took the oath. I think that just about everyone who has read the books have taken the oath.

I dont think anyone should be ashamed about it. Nothing wrong with it.

Shesh I couldent have put it any better myself Atm. To both of what you said. I love being here seeing as most of my freinds hate reading. And the ones who do havent read YW. Which is a darn shame. I do love these books alot better than HP.

                              Well Dai all!

Well...I don't think everyone who's read YW has taken the Oath. Probably about a quarter to a half of them/us, I'm guessing, since most people find it hard to suspend their disbelief.

Would it be right to say that a wizard's job, other than slowing down the death of the universe(s), is to win all of the (shades of the) LP back to the right side, rather than just beating It?
