I really want to see more about Nita's ability to predict the future. And I hope she does become "something more than human" in WoM! I like those kinds of books.

And I really want to hear more about the peridexis! That's such a cool character!

I'd like to see how wizardry affects those with disabilities or chronic illness. I'd also like to see wizards who come from a family that isn't your typical mother-father combination (yes, I know, Nita and Dairine, but they started off like this). How do you use the Speech when you can't hear what you're saying? What kind of errantry do you go on if you're in a wheelchair? Do diabetic wizards have to test their blood sugar before doing a wizardry? Do wizard who are carers for their loved ones go on errantry off-world or is their caring a form of wizardry of itself? Is it a prerequisite that your parents be an opposite sex married couple? (I seriously hope not! But we haven't got anything to say otherwise yet ... )

1) Peridexis: What is it, how is it different from the manual, is the motherboard world in touch with it, how is it different from how whales or irish people get their manual;

2) Roshaun + Dairine: we MUST know a) what the necklace says and b) how the sunstone works, what it is, what it does and c) where is Roshaun after WaW?

3) Spot and the DVD/TV/Remote in Kit's house: a) are they sentient, living? b) are they wizards? Does Spot's ability to spout poetic predictions develop?

4) Ponch: Kit has the One for his dog. It's not a deus ex machina now, but how do you keep it from becoming one? (OK - this is more of a literary how to question than a suggestion for what do deal with in the books) In other words, now that we and Ponch are aware that he's the One, it seems like you could just call on Ponch to help out whenever there seems to be a no-win situation.

5) Nita's power levels: what's up? Will she ever hear the peridexis again? perhaps in lucid dreaming?

6) "non-wizard" life: we know what tom and carl do "for a living". What are nita and kit interested in? they're getting just about to the point where college is starting to loom ahead. possible majors? minors? possible money-making jobs?

I would Deffinetly LOVE to see Kit and Nita get together. They would make such a cute cupple!
I mean, Ronan is nice and all, but I just think that it would be better if Nita and Kit got together. They've been in sooo much together, it would be soo cute to see that they hooked up.=)

I'm a bit curious as to what the human's choice was like o.o You hear about it in WH, but you don't really know what happened. It's the only thing that I find that really bugs me XD Because you find out other species choices and find out what happened to them, but you never know our choice O.O What happened in our choice to make us like we are?

What if Nita and Kit had to become powers? That would be really cool. I'd like to see another wizard who has like, more power then Dairine when she was on her Ordeal.

I've thought for a while that it would be good to see Nita and Kit have more difficulty hiding their wizardry. Their families know they are wizards, as does Mr Millman, but what would happen if someone else found out? For example, some kid from school a little more willing than most to believe what their eyes tell them. It must happen from time to time.

I really want to hear about Ponch.I cried when he left.....My only other request for DD is that(and most people won't understand this) you stop writing when you have to THINK about what to write. I really don't want this series (Like warriors by Erin Hunter) that keeps going once everything is done.After a while there is just nothing more to be said, and at that time it is better to just stop writing, before everything is ruined.I would still be EXTREMELY upset if you stopped put if it had gotten to that point, it would be better to stop.(sorry, that is something I feel strongly about, now that the Warriors books are ruined for good.)Others than that, Roshopun would be nice, and I would like to see something about wizards in other countries/areas (the wizard's manual interests me)That's about it.Thanks for writing such great books!

I'm so glad you asked!

First, let me start by saying I can't possibly love this series and its characters more.

On to business. I do have some things I would like to see happen now that I've finished AWoM (like three times over). They are as follows:

1) Nita and Kit working together again, instead of running around missing each other. (Honestly, all the best lines tend to happen when those two are together.)
2) More Ronan/Kit/Darryl ('nough said)
3) I want Kit and Nita to be on equal footing, so maybe Kit will save Nita's butt again sometime soon? In another post I called it an "upgrade" (for Kit) but I still want them to be them, limited by their humanity but giving it their all (no Deus Ex Machina easy solutions, please) but I feel like the two of them should stand equal as partners, and right now I feel like Nita is, not ahead of, but has more things going on than Kit.
4) More of the Kit and Nita from W@W and previous books that I love so much. I'm really happy about the potential for the Kit/Nita pairing addressed in the 9th volume but I love it when we're shown how much they mean to each other through the little things and the action, rather than just told explicitly with words. (That said, some of the parts in this latest volume made me squeal on the inside)
5) [More] sassy lines from all of the characters (Carmela/Nita/Kit/etc. I love it when they "trash talk" the antagonists)
6) One idea that I do have for the next books involves Irina. I was left wondering about all the scenes where she was regarding Nita mysteriously (I feel like it was connected to Nita's reaction to her presence/ kernels)
7) I love the insights into Kit's school life. Could we get one of those for Nita, please? I know she's referred to as a nerd, but from what I see she's a pretty awsome person and it makes sense that she would have at least one friend at school besides Kit.
8) A Helena and Nita scene (possibly with Kit and Carmela) Mutants? LOL
9) Of course, I want to know what happened to Roshaun
10) Tom and Carl in action (I know they're seniors and Tom's a research specialist, but just a bit)
11) would love to see Sker'ret anf Filif again
12) Possibly the australian wizard Matt (who healed Ronan in W@W) and his trio
13) How is Nita going to balance her new, tempermental oracular powers and everyday life without coming off as a schitzophrenic?
14) A little more time covered over fewer volumes (they have been 14/13 for almost 20 years, I think)

Also, some plot involving the tearing of the universe's walls could be really interesting. I won't go into detail on this, but it ties in with general relativity.

15) Nita has incurred alot of damage throughout the books (particularly HW & AWH). I'm curious what's going to happen when that starts to catch up with her, and how Kit will react
16) Nita working on her haiku precognitions with Doitsu and the others, and struggling with her new abilities
17) Carmela delving further into xenolinguistics
18) I'd really like to see Ronan and/or Darryl turn up at Nita and Kit's school, because it's almost certain hilarity would ensue
19) A bit of a raise in Nita and Kit's power ratings (They've been inching upward slowly over the course of the books, and I think it's clear that they're a good energy investment)
20) More about the sublties of wizardry and how knowledge, technique, and finess can win over raw power
21) More off planet work
22) Some Raoul/Kit/Nita interactions
23) More of Dairine, Nelaid, the Wellakhit sun, and the possibility of Dari being a taraenshlev'. And, of course, I'd love to see Roshaun back!
24) Dairine using a wizardly accelerator or some such as a light saber (that would be hilarious) and using some of her self defense skills to kick-butt
25) Further developments in the Nita/Kit relationship (since we're lining up the next 3 books here)
26) More words in the speech
27) Maybe a bit of backstory on Tom and Carl - I'd love to know what brought them togther and what some of their escapades were like in their younger years
28) More on the Hesper, and possibly a guest appearance by Ponch
29) More on how it feels to work a wizardry 'in concert.' You touched on this in AWAbroad, but it was such a cool concept and I'd love to hear more about it, possibly from Kit's POV

Also, I know DD wrote a side story about train hopping nearer to the beginning of the series. Nita mentions working a hurricane with Kit in AWH - It'd be cool to see a side story on that!

What I want to see...

I would like to see Kit and Nita getting closer. I know thats what everyone... well most everyone wants. I'm such a hopeless romantic i can't help but want them together. They belong to each other.

I would love Carmela to be more involved as well since she seems to be more helpful as the books go, i think she would make a great non-wizard wizard. She is funny, can bring stuff to the table that involves kit and nita and she can kick butt. All in a days work for her.

There is so much more but thats the main of it at the moment.
Thank DD for such great stories that we can't get enough of.
