I didn't like this one when I read it. I suppose it was all because Nita was being really stupid, and then I was to anxious to find out how she would get out of this problem. And it felt like it wasn't going anywhere. I knew she wasn't going to die because a series was not going to loose its main character in book two. It just wasn't going to happen. I also got High Wizardry and Wizard Abroad at the same time, so I knew for sure that Nita wasn't going to die. The best part had to have been when Nita told her parents about wizardry. I don't know what the best is; I haven't really decided, but in my opinion, this isn't it.Gigo: Hey, it's the person who puts 'asian' in 'caucasian'. Nah...I know why this was one of my favorites. Whales may not always make the most interesting characters, but then there's Ed. It's hard to know what to say about him that would do him justice. He's such an strange blend of appetite and thinker, killer and yet (like nature) not malicious when it kills, driven by nature yet not sure if he wants it to rule him.
Just recently listened to this book again. Maybe it's easier to get caught up in the story when someone's reading it to you. It's certainly not a perfect story, but it actually moves pretty well. There's a good bit of talking, or thinking, but little that's extraneous. And Nita's dilemma is compelling for me at least, even if I can't imagine how she could have gotten that far without someone making sure she knew what she was doing.I solemnly swear I am up to no good...

Considering my screenname is in reference to Ed, I would have to say that yes, this is my fav. book. Just because of the dialogue that Ed uses. He's just a great mix of different aspects.~Sharky

Ahaha, wizardsrreal. I'm gonna have to scold you for more of these posts. It's okay now, but after this, please watch your punctuaction and capitalization. It's a lot easier to read if you do, and it doesn't take that much effort.
Also, you can delete your own posts by clicking edit (that's the eraser in the upper right-hand corner) and then clicking the link that says 'delete message...?' Edit alone won't delete it.Gigo: Hey, it's the person who puts 'asian' in 'caucasian'.
