In my experience there's no such thing as someone without an accent. It just depends on who's listening.

I do remember waiting for a flight at a British airport to the United States, and the flight attendant announced that the flight would be landing at Dulles Airport instead of Baltimore-Washington. I was moved to go and correct her pronunciation, lest passengers think they were headed for Texas. (DUUHless, not DAALess)

Ah, accent mistakes... heh.
As for the rugby gear, well, we have a chocolate bar ad down here: it shows an american football player in the gear, and an All Black. Under the American it says "All Show;" under the All Black "All go." Well, yes.
