Ive always wondered why Kit and Nita didn't just use the beam me up spell when they relized they wouldn't make it home in time. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, probably too tired, although maybe they couldn't work the spell underwater for some strange reason.

Okay, I'll ask you about it. What the heck is a Jupitarian???

Thank you. I am always glad to be noticed. But HELLO!! A Jupitarian is someone from Jupiter of course, like me. Come visit me sometime, we have an excellent selection of lemons.

My mother's grandmother's sister-in-law's older brother came from Pluto. Maybe they know you.

I have a bad habit of saying "Ying!" at inappropriate times. Also of using big words for the sole purpose of confusing people. Such as the word "incessantly".

Mmm...as to where I'm from...somewhere unknown, mysterious, and strange: The Planet of the Dancing Red Walrus!!!

I have to say that I never thought of 'incessantly' as a 'big word,' Ella, though words that are 'big words' for some groups of people are probably not for others. In fact, I used 'abscond' (which I have never thought of as a 'difficult' word) while talking to one of my violinist colleagues (who is ~5 years older than I am) and she didn't know what it meant!

I'm not sure that I have ever used a 'big word' to confuse someone (per se), but I do use obscure or 'difficult' words frequently: either because I like their connotations or in order to sound pedantic (occasionally my sister and I have contests to see who can sound more pedantic --I usually win ).

*bounces up and down* I'm pedantic too! I and my two best friends have been known to irritate the heck out of everybody in the vicinity when we're in the right mood, too. *evil laugh*
As to big words: how do you feel about extrapolate? I used it in English class and got a general "huh?" Sigh. It's a pity... So I don't consciously use big words. I just use them... *rolls eyes* It's not my fault if the rest of the class doesn't read enough, is it?

No, no, no, I don't think of "incessantly" as a big or difficult word; I use it all the time. It's just that people around me (my age) usually don't know what it means. Rather sad, don't you think?
