  • Callahan=Cuchulain?

In the pronunciation guide, it said Cuchulain was pronounced 'cuh-HULL-an' (or something like that). Doesn't that sound an awful lot like Nita's last name?
And if it does, is it significant?

That's kind of interesting. But Nita doesn't appear to be of Irish decent...

Glad you didn't ask me to type out the whole thing, cause it's alot.... in my book, which is the paperback, not the hardback and it's the new version, it's in the chapter at the end labeled "A Small Glossary". The entry about Cuchullain is on page 334-335. Hope this helps!

Hmm, I never noticed that. Interesting indeed...

princess_nita0, you confuse me. It's quite possible you watch too much Star Wars. Oh well, thanks for the ideas!

The name Juanita is indeed Spanish/Hispanic. The jury's still out (There's a post in... the Nitpickery, I think) on whether Nita the person is Hispanic, or if her parents just liked the name.

Cthulhu is Irish?? Doesn't look it. All right we do have strange letter combinations but not 'Cth' like that. You only get d before t at least in modern Irish.

Granted, I don't have a copy of the book with me at the moment and I can't even remember where this came up.

Closest 'Irish' pronunciaton that I can come up with is 'K-hoo-loo'.
