I've used the chat area once, but I think I was supposed to get a password and username first. How do I get one?

Usually it doesn't take too long, as long as your e-mail doesn't go astray, which it can. But if that doesn't happen, and usually I don't think it does unless you're using hotmail, it should be there quite soon.

Uh... Do you mean topics? The blue tabs at the top, the first on says "New" go there, the rest is pretty self explanitory. Dai!

Yup. Click on the "New" tab at the top of the page: a menu drops down. Click on "Topic". A window opens with blanks for your subject, a one-line lead-in, and the message. Fill in the boxes...click on the "Post Now" button at the bottom when you're done.

No, the light blue bar at the top of the main Forums page (above the graphic that says "Forum News") is just a navigation menu. Click on "chat area" in that bar and you'll be taken to a page where you can input your chat username and password (which I've just sent you. Note that these are different from your Forum username and password). Then hit the "login" button and you'll be taken to another page on which the chat-area window will open.

Meanwhile, have you got your posting problem sorted out now?

Ok. To use that, you pull the Shoutbox's scrollbar down until the posting boxes show. Type your name in the "name" box, type your message in the "message" box, and hit the "send" button.
