Capitalising and punctuation are both good, so yes: it makes posts more readable.

General comment, not just to bluecrow: rules about capitalising and punctuation aren't just there to catch you out. They've been developed over centuries to help people read text. Ideas that didn't help faded away, and we're just left with the good ones, however arbitrary they may seem.
