Ads for Unregistered Visitors

Now that we've moved the forums to a new host and migrated them to vBulletin, other issues are rearing their heads. One of them is how to manage forum costs -- which, though lower than they used to be, are still going to be there.
The Forum stats reveal that we're often visited by more unregistered viewers over the course of a given day than registered users. So an obvious cost-defraying move is to show advertising to those viewers.
Starting immediately, therefore, we'll be adding a right-hand column to all forum pages viewed by people who aren't logged in, and this column will contain Google Ads as well as book ads from Amazon.com. If you're a Forum member, this column and the ads in it will vanish as soon as you log in, not to reappear until you log out.
