The last time DD mentioned this to me, she said only that the company's repeated delays in fulfilling the order were "frustrating her" and she was thinking about demanding a refund and taking her money somewhere else. That was a few weeks ago. No news since. I'll inquire, but it might be my head that gets bit off: she sounded pretty steamed at the time.

California? Not I. I take it this is something to do with this character she sort-of named after me?

Oh, on the south coast, sure. But not very far north of London. And the palms that I've seen haven't done so well this last year because of all the snow; some of the ones I know in the area seem to have died.

There's nothing planned right now, though DD mentioned to me that she was thinking about what might accompany a signing tour this autumn, if she does one. I think right now, though, she's concentrating on getting the prize T-shirts for the last contest out of the company which is supposed to be printing them.
