Avatars

I suppose this isn't exactly a 'problem', but...would it be all right to have an avatar hosted on, say, photobucket, if it was within the size restrictions and I made it myself?

How much of a difference does local hosting make? Does it use more bandwidth to link it?

Photo bucket is an image hosting thing, so I'm sure they don't have a problem with linking.

my avatar is normal now, but i accidentally put a 710x700 for my avie and it won't go away even though i changed it to a smaller one.

As you no doubt noticed, EragonKit, it looks just fine, now. Basically, after you've set a new avatar, the board only "refreshes" the image link the next time you post something.

i hate avatars. they never load in time. i tryed to put one on here but it wouldent let me so its stupid like every thing else in this world!!!!!!

agfish, I've got an FAQ/procedure written up about creating and putting up an avatar. The main thing to remember is that your avatar needs to be hosted out on the web--it can't just exist on your local hard drive.

Well, that and the basic rules about avatar sizes.

Ariel use www.imageshack.us to host the avatar you want that's what i did with mine.
