vBulletin 4 now installed!
After a few intial hitches, we've now successfully installed the newest version of the vBulletin software. This upgrade has been on your admins' minds for a while now, as there were security issues with the older versions of the software that needed to be addressed. These have now been handled in the new installation.
Over the coming week or so we will be tweaking the look and feel of the new Forum themes to more closely match the look our members have become comfortable with since we left our old forum home at Infopop / Groupee. We'll also be adding in newer versions of many of the add-ons which were part of making the Forums run. Please be patient while we get these working.
As we mentioned before, with the installation of this new version of the Forum software, there will be other changes coming -- specifically, the limitation of some Forum areas to registered members only. These will include the areas where A Wizard of Mars is being discussed. If you're reading this now and are interested in viewing those areas, please register now. You will then be able to post in them as well.
And a last note: since the ad column on the right side has never generated any significant income for the Forums, we're removing it.
