do you think the Lone power was right or wrong in creating death and entropy?

All species were given a choice when they were ready, and most species chose to accept death and fight against it. In the case of humans, death has been despised for a long time, and yet, death has been also been one of the few thinngs that has allowed our world to really grow. Think on this, if war and death had never happened, sure there would be too many people on earth, but would they be in pain, would they feel hunger? would they feel sorrow? or joy? would they ever learn to live? or love? When given a choice, that means you can choose to be evil, to do harm, and if death wasnt around, what could be done to stop those evil people? you cant capture them, they control too much and have too much power, they cant die, what do you do? Death has been helpful to this world, and in many ways, death has been viewed as both good and evil... Not all death is bad, but neither is it good.

I have mixed views on death, I dont want to die, but i know i can and will eventually. I just fear what is after death, sure maybe ill be remembered, but i want to still be doing something when i die, or at least be at peace, I'm just not religous enough to believe in heaven, and i read too c to have a clear idea of the afterlife , other then knowing what I want to happen i dont KNOW, and i want to, its nasty business, but the truth

To me, death is but another tool to be used. The evil use it to hurt the good, while the good rejoice in passing onto the next great adventure, to lift a line from someone else.

I believe that all things should die, yes, but not before their time, as the Lone One takes most pleasure to causing.

Without death and entropy, then the universe would not run, in terms of physics. Change in free energy is necessary in a system, any system, so denying death, which just just a greater change, would be denying life itself. I wouldn't say that death is necessary the opposite of life - it ends it in a way that darkness does not end life. But that doesn't mean that the pain that is so usually associated with death needs to be so poignant. It does not mean that we must gradually lose energy out of the system so eventually the universe dies.

I can conceive of an alternate - one where there is no entropy, and yet we die. Perhaps to some, that is what heaven is - we die and yet the energy of our souls, if you will, is conserved and sent to Heaven.

I think the LP wanted to have something special, all its own. It fragmented off from the other Powers to rock its own beat, and that beat came back as death. It's just what it did. I don't think that the Powers themselves can be right or wrong. That inserts waay to much black-and-white into the universe, and doesn't leave anywhere near enough grayspace for some wiggle room. I think that the LP just wanted to have something all it's own. Something that it alone could control and use to its own ends (there's one in every bunch, I'm tellin' ya).
I figure the reason that everyone is battling entropy now is because it's been used against them. Had the LP been more open and cooperative with its little creation then mabye it may have been worked in to the fabric of the universe- albeit a lesser form of it, but a version of entropy nonetheless. I think that since the LP was very secretive and secluded about it's creation, the other Powers aren't willing to take a look at what could be (something almost good, like what the Alaaids had).
I'm not a big fan of entropy. I wish it didn't exist. But I can't quite be sure that the other Powers might not have worked with the LP on it, if it wasn't so contrary. Mabye I'm giving the LP too much credit. I duhno.

OMG. you actually have to debate this?! look, the LP invented pain, death, and all things, as we put it now, "evil". before this, things didn't die, they became part of something else, with no pain involved. no one could suddenly say "i'm gonna live forever so i'll just do evil" because that kind of behaivior was not invented! like in AWH, remember how horrified quelt was when she figured out that kind of stuff even existed? read it over if you don't. then maybe you'll get what i mean.

Well, look at it this way, what your saying implies that you have no choice but to do the right thing. every moment of your life is set out for you because you can take no way other then the right way, mostly because you don't know there IS another way. I'm not voting for entropy (you'll know that if you've read the post) but at the same time you should look at ALL the parts of entropy, not just certain aspects of it. As for entropy turning out be a good thing, like caitlin said...I'm not really sure about that. I mean, entropy means the running down of life, till there's litterly nothing left. I can't see the powers that be wanting that to happen. I could be wrong, though.

My thrid time posting here but i cant understand why some of you guys dont like death. It isnt scary just think of it as just another stage you have to over come in life. Get to know it and see that it isnt all that bad. Take a second and looking at the pro and cons of it and you will see that if death wasnt here then everything would stay the thing and nothng would be able to evole into the greater world. Like when my parents were younger the news people told them all that there would be flying cars in 2000. Well that didnt happen. So i guess it dosent work that way and say death wasnt here and im just ranting i just noticed. Sorry. but i just dont think death is so bad afterall. Think more about it and you will find that it is kind of okay.

i kind of agree with you, and i kind of don't. I think that death is necessary, though I think it should be diferent then it is now, (check the first post if you want to see what i mean) I don't think death is evil, because in some ways it truly is necessary, though I personally don't think it HAS to be quite the way it is right now to do what needs to be done. I also think that we WILL always need the reminder, because thoughs who come after us will never trully appreciate life without it. They'll never learn without it.

Actually, Lee posted six as the ultimate line-limit, but yeah, four is more common for overall netiquette. So, YR's within the limit. It's the fact that a lot of posts are shorter than their sigs that's a semi-problem.

well even without LP's death and entropy still there would death of the war and other thing I think THE ONE wanted for LP to make death and entropy or it would have taken LP's power back.
but still look @ death as the begining of the reset of entrity
