My favorite book was Deep Wizardry. My second favorite was A Wizard Abroad. My least favorite was actually So You Want To Be A Wizard, I just don't like it as much as the others, but considering how much I like the other ones, I still like it a lot!(\__/)
(+'.'+)I guess I'm helping bunny

Moved here, as this thread already exists in multiple forms. Sorry that i lost the authorship on your post, Slash. You may also want to read the Board FAQ about one-liners. --kli.Originally posted by Slash:

gahhhh. you expect me to choose? you people...*shakes head disapprovingly* and whoever it was who hated ronan, really now, why hate? i find him positively adorable--in a black sort of way.
(btw, i am a firm beliver in N/R.)
kli: i will now open my over-large mouth. if you are going to pick on on people doing one-liners, you might as well do it to all of them; not just single out one. i will now close my over-large mouth. :P

I think SYWTBAW, DW, and AWAl are my favorites. I am also partial to HW, as it was my introductin to the series.
And Peri - Kathy wasn't picking on Slash. A gentle suggestion is all that was. One-liners themselves aren't the problem...it's one-liners that have little-to-no content that are.
Besides...we do make the same suggestion to nearly everyone who posts nonsubstantive one-liners.

Yes, I once got slightly repremanded for one-liners. Now I avoid them mainly because of Poot
. I'd rather not get dragged off to some vile-smelling dungeon, if you don't mind me saying so.
Back to the subject however, I believe that HW, WH, and W@W are the best, though DW and AWLone and AWAb are all growing on me. I've always liked AWAb (especially now that I had to orally tell a story about Balor of the Evil Eye and Lugh to my class that took 20 minutes), but those three are my main favs, definately. Or however you spell that.just let your heart take over and sign with a flourish

The Young Wizards series has changed my life. At first I though of this series as a ripoff of Harry Potter , but boy was I in for a surprise. This series is not your typical fantasy book about Witchcraft. As I continue reading the series I find out that I have a Nita in my life and Kit and also A Lone One .When I became a member of this site, How was I to know that i would be so involved in it . I want to thank Diane Duane for opening the portal into her world and letting me be apart of the Young Wizards Universe.I get to chat with people that I have things in common with ,like reading and writting . I've met so many new people and have so many new friendsto talk to. We can recommend new books to each other and share videos and pictures and music and many cool websites.
I haven't gotten the chace yet but it is great to have a chance to chat with Diane Duane. Yhis is one of the greatest series I ever read

I have yet to finish reading through the entire series (currently working on Young Wizards #8: Wizards at War), so I cannot make a definite decision at this time.
However, out of all the rest that I have read, I would have to pick"Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children that dragons can be killed." ~G. K. Chesterton

Any particular reason, or is it just a "i like what i like" kind of thing at the moment? i don 't suppose it matters that much, but i like to discuss stuff like this, and i need information to do so...anyways, my favorite is wizards dillema...it was really sad, but that's not why i like it...i like it because it was so...POWERFUL.I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.
For those of you who don't recognize WHO'S back, I'll give you a hint, and I don't mean the typo's in my posts - YR.

I just thought that it would be interesting to see what everyone's fav book is.
----
I'll start. my favorite book is Deep Wizardry.
i think that it's interesting how they try to hind their wirzardry from their parents and how Nita ends up telling her's the truth. I liked how they changed into whales. it's funny when they try to convince Nita's parents that wizardry is real. it took them floating, walking on water, summoning things, beam me up scotty and going to the moon.
if you could change into and animal, what would you choose?
I'd choose the dolphin, b/c they r my favorite animal. i love how they r so smooth and fast in the water. my room is like a shrine to them i have so much dolphin stuff. alos many sharks r scared of them.

My favorite one was "Deep Wizardry" also. I just like ocean stories for some reason. I also thought that the story was so deep. Even though "The Wizards Dilemma" was deep as well. I guess you could call that one my second to last favorite. My second favorite was "A Wizard Abroad". I just loved the imagery in this one. I liked the way Ireland was described. Even if it wasn't accurate. Then last but not least was this one "Wizard's at War". I happen to like to read about war. I especially like to read about it when I'm reading it from the good side and not the bad.
