  • Well hello we had fun in the chat room last night. Thanks to PM I have a new icon it took me a while but I got it. Only Nella thought this funny.... or maybe others did but didnt say anything.

There are always a few nuts on the family tree. In our case we are all nuts. (except for that one nut that thinks he's a leaf)

I'm leaveing you to guess who that one nut is.

PM just asked me a question in the chat

"Nita's favourite uncle, the one who died" - ?

Now who is that... we can't remember. My sister's watching soaps arrggggg it's sooo scary!!! OMG no soccer today so fun we must find Lisa!!! I'm.... haveing a hard time remembering what I was going to say before i read what was in the chat room. oooo Yes happy EASTER!!! I made eggs yesterday(very fun)Now i have a green thumb for I had to use my fingers to take the eggs out of the cup of dye.

Theres always one who laughs the WHOLE time.

    I have a joke!

Why did the baby cross the road?
    I don't know why?
Because he was stapled to the chicken!!!

    *laughs very hard*

My sisters boyfriend made it up I just laugh at how stupid it is!
Car doors will soon take over the world! The little blender who could told me so!

I was a newbie for a whole year!!*newbie dances* I will always be a newbie at heart though.

    • Cress asked:
About the family tree-again, why am I a parrot? Everybody else kinda has their injokes I guess, but I have no idea how I became a parrot. Does anyone else know?
I don't know, but if nobody else is going to answer, I'll guess that it's because you repeated the same word over and over again years ago .
PM just asked me a question in the chat

"Nita's favourite uncle, the one who died" - ?
I asked because someone suggested it as an Errantry entry, based on DW, but I don't remember it at all. It isn't the bit about Uncle Jerry riding a killer whale.

        • Muffins are scary.

...I don't know why I just said that.

Power corrupts. Absolute power is kinda neat. I LOVE absolute power. I'm gonna get it for my birthday!

I've made up some riddle-thingys, but there aren't enough to post here. They're also really easy. So forget about it.

          Huh: nice avatar, Gibby.

I don't celebrate easter. I have to endure the taunts of all my schoolmates about having tons of choccies. At least I still get some from my friends.

          • No, Birdhead, these are not the songs from the movies. These were written back in 1988, by someone that I cannot pronounce his name right.
It wouldn't be the Johan de Meij one would it? If so, that one's awesome, but I still think that Howard Shore did a better job - although he probably had it a bit easier because he was writing to accompany a visual stimulus - rather than to create imagery. We play a highlights piece of his LOTR symphony when my school band went on a NZ tour a couple of years back. The conductor thought that it was highly appropriate piece for us to play - not to mention that it was also fun . AH! nonono... now I've got "Shadofax" stuck in my head. I've got a recording of my school band playing it somewhere too. Anyway, Gib, I hope that you're feeling better and that you're having fun playing the music!

What about sticking little stickers on everything around your house (including family members and pets) that have the names of the objects/people in Spanish. My friend (the one who is going on a gap placement to Romania in august) did that with Romainian words, and she started to lean a bit more.

Well, now that I have the time to sit down and make a nice long post about what I have been up to, I mayaswell take the opportunity. And contribute to boosting this Topic to 400 pages before Easter Sunday ...

Uni is getting better - socialwise anyway. I have also realised that my entire Physics class is full of nerds/geeks (I know that I am one too) but there are like none in my Chemistry class. This was determined due to the questions asked by the lecturers. My Physics lecturer (who is awesome btw) asked a question related to Star Wars and Star Trek and everyone in the class raised their hand. In chem, however when a similar question was asked, no-one raised their hand (I didn't because it was a Star Trek question, and I don't really know anything about Star Trek). But yeah, I have made a few friends from Physics, and one from Maths and ESc so thats cool. The people that I met in Physics are really nice and random. I'm going to get one of them to read SYWTBAW after another one of them is finished with it. And then I'll see if I can get them to join here . We've also decided that we're going to start some sort of musical group - as we all play some instrument (one guy even has perfect pitch its kinda annoying ...) and yeah muck around or something... 'cept it'll be a strange group, as we have two -possibly three or more- clarinets, a violin and a flute player... not your typical sort of garage band, is it? But yeah, we're all good for it so it should be really fun. Oh, and speaking of LOTR music, the other clarinettist thinks that she might be able to get her hands on a copy of the LOTR music from her old school, because she and the guy who's playing violin were really good friends with the conductor. I don't know which LOTR music it is though...

Subjects is a whole 'nother matter though... I'm just about ready to throw the towel in on going to Earth lectures. The lecturer is SO bloody boring! I've studied the textbook for two years already at high school, so I know all the stuff and I practically sit there telling the girls who are sitting next to me just to read the text book and it explains it better. I wonder if he's the sort of lecturer that will offer to hand over to a student who challenges him too much. Two of my other lectureres have already done that, but the person didn't take him up on it. I would - and IMHO I reckon that I would be better at it. I have the same knowledge base that he is teaching the rest of the class from, and I know I'm more interesting! But yeah, time to change subject so that I can stop ranting.

I wanna be a flower on the tree - but I know who the leaf is. Are you sure he isn't just a fruit XD...

hehe other languages in chat... thats an old thing I can vaguely remember one time where we were all talking in different languages, and no-one could understand each other

ohh... Gattaca. I loved that movie. Ok, I've only seen it once, but it was pretty awesome. Ah! not analysing storylines I reckon that english teachers never enjoy a good book/story. They always have to take it to bits...

*looks back on the last page and sees Gibby's post about LOTR* You're playing all five movements (now I know that we're talking about the same piece)! wow, we only did sort of a highlights piece... AH now I have "Shadowfax" stuck in my head again and I'd just got it out of there

Hehe.. the Queensland government has just passed one of THE SILLIEST laws that I have ever heard of. We can no longer leave windows open in unattended cars - its a $30 fine. Thats like so stupid. We do live in a subtropical and some people in a tropical climate and the insides of the cars DO get really hot! silly politicians!

OMG no soccer today so fun we must find Lisa!!!
I'm hoping you don't think that's a good thing. It's bad. Very bad. I was sooo looking forward to soccer.

Someone commented on meeting famous people. I got books signed, in person, by the authors of the Spiderwick Chronicles. You probably haven't read them because they're REALLY kiddie. They take me about 20 minutes to read. But they're about fairies and stuff, so I like them. The authors, Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, were a lot different than I thought they'd be. It was fun to talk to them, though. They were at the national book festival and gave a speech-thingy. Then they had a question and answer session, and I asked the last question! Hehe. I asked who their favorite authors were when they were little. (Steph was there too.)

Hmm. I forgot to mention this yesterday. Two teenage boys came over to my house yesterday to help with something for church. I almost died. I get so embarassed around other people, especially boys my age. Gah. (I ended up hiding in my room.) *.*'

Today I dyed Easter eggs with my friend! This normally wouldn't be a big deal, but she lives so far away because she moved. (Steph, you know who this is, but don't say any names, please.) It was fun. But she has a brotehr who's like three years old, and he knocked over one of the cups of dye. He turned blue because of it. Hehehe.

              • *false cheery motherly voice* Why, how nice, Lisa dear, did you have a good time at your friend's house? How was her mother? Did you remember your manners? Did you say good-bye to her mother? Good! Now why don't you come in and have some tea. You can bring your friend with you.

(seconds later, after a phone call)

*really angry voice* How DARE you! What did you do to the poor little kid! I am grounding you this minute, young lady! You are staying in your room for the rest of Spring Break!!! Don't 'Mom' me, young lady. GET IN YOUR ROOM!!!

                ------------

*laughs till tears come streaming out*

Sorry if I offended you, Lisa. But the above seen was just SO incredibly funny, and it just popped into my head. I couldn't resist sharing it with the world.

                *ka-ching*

Money money money: It's a rich man's world.
A-ha: all the things I could do
If I had a little money, little little money,
                it's a rich man's world.

                *trashcans rattling*

Okay..not a very impressive ending. But this is the TOGR, and here I shall remind you all that I have finished the ENTIRE TOGR in my first 6 days. *applause*

Ignore WF and Lisa. On second thoughts: don't.

*monotone voice* You do not support Lisa....

You have never heard of anything called Lisa...

There is nothing in the world called Lisa Power...

You are not a supporter of Lisa Power...

                Because Lisa Power is LP...

LP is THE *really scratchy noise*

                Do not support Lisa...

                Support....

Well? who SHALL we support? Pour in the votes!

Edit: This has nothing to do with anything, but I thought that you might want to hear it.

My little sister has just stomped around the house chanting: Chop off your toes...chop off your toes...

                Weird...

                • Heh. My mom was there the whole time, Gigo, because mom and my friend's mom are best friends! Get it? And relax, we didn't hurt the poor kid. He so cute! But he can be evil...when we were getting ready to leave, he started throwing things at me.

Hmmm...who should I vote for? *acts like she's thinking really hard* I don't know...this "Lisa" character sounds good, but I also have my eye on another canadate: the cookie...hmm...Let's go with Lisa!

                  Duh.

                  Reasons you should support me:
                  1) I'm a girl, and everyone knows that girls are better than guys.
                  2) I'm smart.
                  3) I've never won an election before, although I've run several times in the school elections, and I'll cry if I don't win.
                  4) I won't abuse the POWER. POWER may corrupt weaker minds, but not me!

More reasons about "Why vote for Lisa POWER?" coming later.

                  ---
I'm on VGDawn right now, attempting to update my character profile. As in, actually have a character profile. Wow. There's even a place for my "YW name."

                  Come on, 400 pages! Whoo-hoo!

So to add to the randomness-I offically HATE my brother! GAH! He said he was going out tonight. He SAID he had plans. So I made plans to sit around and watch TV all night by myself. But guess who is sitting in front of the TV watching some stupid thing? My dear bro. He took over the room while I was practicing piano. Pure evil.
In other news, I started taking piano lessons again. WOOT WOOT! I love piano, especially since my teacher is THE nicest person in the world.

It's inlayed with danger (round in merry world)
My hand is on the door to tomorrow (round in merry world)
It can't be stopped, a chain reaction
As though it touches my mind
                          Round and round

Edit: I hate how the edit thing on this thing can't read.

                          • Lets see:

Lisa, *boo hiss*. Was the paint permanent? *doesn't say if he hopes so or not*

Angel_star, *dies of envy* I haven't played lazer tag since I was 10. Well, that's only a year ago, but still: that was my first and only time. *dies again* It's soo fun. Muffins are scary. Brownies are dangerous. I almost lost a tooth in one.

Lovey, yes, it is an Abba song. It's called Money Money Money.
But nobody cares. You ARE on the tree: aren't you? I could have sworn that you were on it. I can't be bothered to speak/translate anything. Francais is boring.
                            Pecan day???

Cress, there WAS no egg, but you can have some anyway. *300 pound chocolate egg falls on Cress* oops. And in case you didn't notice: IT's THE TOPIC OF GREAT RANDOMNESS!!! We're supposed to have random posts. I like piano too, but my teacher isn't that great. He's not bad, but he's not good either. He's a something. *no comment on your brother*

Add to the randomness!!! Let's all sing a song!

                            Somewhere over the rainbow
                            Way up high,
                            There's a land that I heard of
                            Once in a lullaby.
                            Somewhere over the rainbow
                            Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
                            Really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
                            Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
                            Away above the chimney tops
                            That's where you'll find me.

                            Somewhere over the rainbow
                            Bluebirds fly.
                            Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?

                            If happy little bluebirds fly
                            Beyond the rainbow
                            Why, oh why can't I?

This is one of the weirdest songs ever, but in my class everybody has a secret craze for it. We all sing it. Except for the so-called 'popular' ones that don't do it in public. I just stand on the side, and watch, and sometimes help people who've forgotten the words .

Chop off your toes...chop off your toes...

Vaguely disturbing, if not very. However, it makes my little sister's friends laugh. *shivers* creepy.

                            • Gigo...I'm not going to ask why you know the words to that song. Really, I'm not. But I don't even know them all, and I'm the only person in my class who actually likes it. And my choir has the music for it. So...yeah.

Since everyone else is singing, I will add to the musical-ness and sing one of my favorite songs.

Home is behind, the world ahead.
There are many paths to tread.
Through shadow, to the edge of night.
Until the stars are all alight.

                              Mist and shadow.
                              Cloud and shade.
                              Home shall fade
                              The world shall...fade...

I know I put that in chat once, but I can't help it. I love that song. Does anyone know who sings it? (NOT you, Steph. I know you know it.)

NO, the paint wasn't permanent. For goodness' sake, it was EASTER EGG DYE!! (Not mad...just overreacting. On purpose. ) I didn't get any on me! Just my sister...who kinda deserves it...and the little kid himself. Heh. It ruined my sister's new socks.

300 pound chocolate Easter Egg??! Where's mine? And we'd better not let Steph/Paige hear about this...

Another reason to vote for Lisa:

                              • Well, two TOGR posts in one day for me... I haven't done this in a while and hopefully they'll be two longish ones too .

Spot (for those of you who don't know, my iPod is called Spot - its a nice and random name for those of my friends who don't understand the alterior idea behind it - and a bit of a laugh/groan for those who do know ) now has a set of docking station speakers and they're cool . There is a story behind it though, outlining the annoyingness (look a new word) of major department stores behind it though, and I will tell it just for the fun of it.

Myer here currently has 25% off all iPod accessories, so intelligent little me thought that she would save the $75 that it was on the speakers that would free up heaps of space on my desk that is being taken up by my CD player. Anyway, I went in pretty much just as it opened and I asked about it, but there was only 15% off them for some reason, so I wandered the shops for a little while and then headed to Harvey Norman to check out their prices too. I ended up heading back to Myer though, but I was ready to argue for my price ... The guy who I spoke to about it was really helpful though, but he was kinda surprised - well thats probably not the right word anyway... - and I guess I'm a bit of a hiprocrite because I hate it when people do that to me at work, but anyway. He obviously didn't have the authority to change the price, so he rang the manager, intending to call him down or something so that we (my Aunt and I) could argue it out with him, but instead, he went and checked the signs and the catologue and the manager said to do it for the lower price : so I got the speakers for a bargain $225

Anyway, I am at the Gold Coast at the moment - you know that place that most overseas people seem to think that is the model Australian lifestlye: beaches, surfers, beach volleyball, tourists... and its pretty boring for a semi local .. its raining at the moment, which is good, because the 'Coast is in drought at the moment.

hmmmn... what else to talk about?... oh yeah

I may not be able to make it to the next DD chat . Mum's thinking of having a market stall next weekend and I always go along to help... it means leaving the house before it starts... Can someone log it?
